The Capitals busy weekend at the draft | Changes in net for the Caps |

The Washington Capitals made several strategic moves in the draft, including the early selection of Terik Parascak and the trade of forward Beck Malenstyn to the Buffalo Sabres for the 43rd overall pick. Subsequently, they secured the talents of defenseman Cole Hutson and Swiss defenseman Leon Muggli with their draft picks. In addition to their draft selections, the Capitals executed trades to acquire goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights. They also added depth to their roster with the inclusion of Ilya Protas and Eriks Mateiko. Moreover, their later round picks included goaltender Nicholas Kempf, center Petr Sikora, and Miroslav Satan Jr., an imposing center and the son of NHL legend Miroslav Satan. These strategic acquisitions reflect the team's commitment to enhancing their roster and maximizing their competitive potential in the upcoming season.

Probably would've went connelly over parascak and sahlin wallenius over muggli but I'm not a scout. Hope these kids pan out

Connelly had some off ice behavior issues. The more I see about Parascak the more I like the pick. Just give it a little time. He's gonna be great. Always love hearing 'high IQ' with our draft picks

As good as the Capitals have been at drafting and developing forwards and goaltenders, they have been awful at drafting and developing defencemen. They picked up a couple of legacy names in the draft in Sikora and Satan. Guentzel was traded to the Lightning. Boo.
