Lola was in his element - not aggressive, very unassuming; Boyibanda and all his energy!; Youlou's Kiswahili is a sign on the intention to broaden the audience; Wuta with his gentle but powerful vocals. Dream team. Michelino; Mantuika; Decca : and I suppose Gege on the strings added lots of spice to this piece.

It sound funny but its not because he is singing kingwana which is the version of kiwahili which is spoken in eastern DRC
The first time to watch this video was on 1997. My uncle the late Ahmed Chubile Kasongo bought for when he visited Kinshansa. I real miss you my Uncle.

Kiswahili but of a different version called kingwana is widely spoken in Eastern DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and western Uganda. Even the title of the song Asumani is a swahili name
