You have to please the supply zones on the FX pair. And you need to be able to spot the zones yourself. VERY IMPORTANT.

It seems like an excellent trade looking at it quickly, however I note that the entry occurred in October of last year. Since your plan is to enter approximately at that level, in what you call "demand area", then in that case you would have a secondary entry at a correct level that worked in the past. I hope you have good results!

Very good, now the question is where do you place your SL or how much DD you allow? Coz this can go several hundred pips into DD, the SL will be even more important than the entry. Swaps will be on your side which is good, but i would be curious to see how you workout your SL in this specific case?😉
Will be either based on the weekly chart or a Daily chart. I will know when the time comes. You should be able to time the market based on your set of rules.

I've noticed that the swap rate when going long usd / mexican peso CFD is very high, my broker charges 18.5% a year or 1,5% a month, am i getting ripped off? Or is the interest on the peso just very high? Have you considered this? Great video, a lot of value for sure :)
you need to check other brokers...or trade Futures, there you do not have swaps at all.

hello Bern hope you are doing well, I am really interested to know what kind of Fundamental News websites,articles you use to do you Weekly analysis?
I use only my own tools...But you can start by looking into the COT report ;)
I think traders majority lacks this big picture approach, so they scalp like crazy instead of swing trading. Also marrying fundamentals and technicals is a great way to trade, I understand your logic. I'm curious about your execution with cfds. How will you scale into a big position with the huge leverage that cfds has to offer? Let's assume my entry levels short on the peso are 18.25, 17.50 and 17.35 to make a practical example.
No this will be a set and forget position. Will place my limit orders Entry and SL when the time comes. Very simple, very straightforward.

There are only 4 instances of this pattern in the past even though it has been 24 years, does this low sample size cause any problems any time U use seasonal patterns like these.
I have been very cautious about including seasonality in my quant strategies because of the low sample size and hence high probability of being just random chance or statistical mirages.
Is there an explanation why these seasonal patterns can be still statistically viable despite their low sample size.

Hi Bernd, Great Video, thank you! Sorry to see the flood your currently experiencing, Do you think the bottom is in on USDMXN? or we could still go lower to the OB around 16.05? We've held the key level at 16.48 on the weekly but I am wondering if we could still make a lower low and sweep the liquidity pool under 16.25 or if its better to enter the trade if we test the higher low (& .236/.272 on the fib)

Did you already enter your short with the spike on 19 April? as it entered your zone of interest, or are you still looking to position yourself as we go through may? for instance sweeping the early shorts and hitting the supply zone around 18.32? Trying to ascertain if its worth entering on a retest or hold out for higher!

The only problem is the exotics swaps on cfds it kills the profit 🥵 i am planning to take the same trade. I guess we had the same mentors.

To be honest, I'd rather short the MXN futures once we go imbalanced down on the quarter. These moves are way larger than the longs.
