I was the same way I stopped playing for a long time between 2017 and 2020, played sporadically from then until CS2 but all the while I turned up for the tournaments. Theres just nothing like pro counterstrike! And I have no idea this tournament has destroyed all of my prior predictions so im going in with an open mind :D
Hey no matter what you think about G2 the games are intense and funny. Seeing Stewie get a mp9 kill and then while spraying just sending it around a corner and almost getting 2 more is magical
Oh for sure its been a wildly entertaining tournament its just also true that theres been very little high level counterstrike played throughout lmao. Its been total chaos and thats always a fun time
I know the the Spirit vs. Vitality game wasn't that great, but seriously: How amazing is it that we get Zywoo vs. Donk in semis and then Zywoo vs. Monesy in finals. Can't really ask for more in terms of individual skill. I think Vitality should win, they look really good and I just am not sure about Nexa...he has some good clutches, I'll give him that, but he cannot play simple CS. It's like he needs to be in a disadvantage to frag, when his opponents have no guns, his mouse stops working. And it's not like he wins every clutch, but he is at least better. That being said, mezii can also completely disappear...so... X-factor: Clearly Hunter. I think when Hunter plays well, G2 beats anybody because Monesy and Niko are just that good and if they have some additional support in terms of Hunter, they should just win. I hope we get some nice AWP battles, though!
Peoplee just mad at donk his first bad performance and lost mainly because copper made poor decision like how they stayed in bomb b site on dust 2 2 times and got killed by smoke spams on apex
For sure it's a byproduct of showing an incredibly high ceiling. He'll always be disproportionately criticized when he underperforms that's what it's like to be the best
