Concerning the boat featuring smoke-emitting engines in the thumbnail, what issue do you believe the boat encountered, and what actions should the captain take?
I dunno, can't smell it.
Could just be checking on the smoked pork loin in which case they better use the Chinet.
The issue with the smoky boat started when they named it "HEAVY FIRE". More reciently it may have developed an oil leak which is burning-off hot exhaust components. It does appear to be pumping 'some' water through both engines. We have no way of knowing if they are overheating or not, but the nasty stain around both covers (see 4:20 ) implies this problem may not be new.
Cracked exhaust manifold. Mostly a cold weather & freshwater thing where water will freeze and bust the exhaust water jacket if you don't winterize properly, then the exhaust will get into the engine bay and water will squirt into the bilge ... don't ask how I know this.
@@scottbaker9066 So that is why my boat has 7 drain petcocks in the cooling system says the Arizona man who pukes a ton of rust on the first startup of every season. (Just kidding, I put the drains in myself and use them). Good answer Scott.

I'm thinking valve cover gasket or oil filter gasket for the smoke. That's oil burning off on a cylinder head or exhaust manifold. If that's the case, it'll be messy but definitely fixable on the cheap. Blue smoke is usually oil leak on an 4 stroke Inboard.or IO
The boat with the smoke was aptly named! The guy with the flying bridge was close to needing bridge work of his own, and the guy with the little speed boat coming out was just a little choppy on the throttle but I give him a B+

Smoke is due to a worn oil gasket
needed to turn on bilge blower shut down which engine was smoking limp in.

About the sport fisher and the "Tower looking tight". 1 that is not haulover, 2 looks like he has done that a few time, 3 the clearance is listed and the water levels (that change) are clearly marked on the bridge structure 4 , most important the individual who is running that kind of boat more than likely know what they are doing.

@ 2:25 I'm going to say if you own that boat, you know exactly what your limitations are, including bridge clearances.
But it's tidal the water levels change.

Nobody wearing life jackets & most drivers no even having the brains
And suspecting that nothing will ever happen to them.
Skippers in Australia are subject to breathalyser test and all passengers must wear life jackets.
Since this legislation was passed very few drownings have occurred.
You also had gun confiscation in Australia ensuring only criminals would be armed.... just sayin'....
