Gods i understand wanting to just relax and enjoy the time you have with your special person but something is wrong but nothing is actually wrong its just your self-doubt and low self-assessment keeping you from enjoying even the smallest of things until you can't pretend everything is ok anymore...
Same, tho I like to think its a bit of a red herring. Twilight clearly has a problem here, but I like to believe she wouldn't act on that impulse. At least not towards someone she clearly loves

Wait is everything spelled correctly? There’s something wrong but spellcheck and grammar check says it’s fine. But… no there’s something else! There has to be! Right?

Beautifully written, but can OCD really be categorized as "HORROR"? Or is Luna's crooked smile at the end insinuating that Twilight hurt/killed Luna like she did with the bed?🤔
Feels nice to get another story that covers the feeling of sheer wrongness Ocd can make you feel . Stupid things like the tilt of a bed can get so out of hand you choose to just throw the bed away because it’s easier.
Man that was so good. I love how "mature" this theme is (as in not childish). extreme ocd must be terrible to live with. And I know the feeling of there being something wrong but you can't find what it is.
I hope I'm not too late to talk about this, but... There was a line, "No one else thought like this- Twilight had to specifically because no one else did." It reminds me of Mentally Advanced Twilight and her meeting with Doctor Wolf. MA Twilight thinks extensively about the troubles that the Mane 6 face every day. They ran away from the hydra in the woods, but it's still in the woods and no one cares. A giant space bear walked into town, and that was the baby. The mother is still out there, close enough for the baby to wander into town. She's constantly thinking about these things because the ponies around her don't (in MA it might be because they're dumb, but maybe it's because those things don't become actual issues until someone makes it an issue). Now hearing this Twilight's thought process, she's in the same kind of world MA Twilight is in. There are monsters weekly, troubles daily, it's no wonder when she finally gets a CHANCE to have a peaceful moment, her mind makes up a problem because she's not allowed to relax.
Another beautiful reading there Scribbler. I'd like to take this moment that readings involving Twilight are always my personal favorites and your renditions of voicing Twilight and Luna are phenomenal. What you do and all the other voice actors you work with is the coolest thing ever. And poor Twilight, and her mental breakdown, that's so sad. Love the artwork too, very precious. personally, i think its more Twilight losing control than anything overt or wrong. Sure, Luna smile is "crooked" but i think this is more of twilights ocd. its all psychological.

I didn't write with the implication Twilight was about to harm Luna, more that Twilight's mind will always undermine the reassurance she gets from those she loves. There is nothing anyone can say to her as she will always find some fault, some element of 'crookedness' in every single smile offered to her. Her deconstruction of the bed is what she will conceptually do to everyone's offered reassurance.
Did you do a fic where twilight went into another universe that was white? One that was almost empty except for one creature that ends up killing her bc I can’t find it and I don’t remember the name😭
I dont think the story hints at Twilight hurting Luna, that'd honestly feel like an inappropriate way to deal with this kind of mental topic. I think its more about the fact that mental issues can reach and affect so much, even the things that bring you comfort. Thats what I find dark about the story, negative mental health affects *everything*. Depression and anxiety are things I've dealt with for a long time, and my paranoia makes me worried I'll be too much for my partner one day due to my crying or breakdowns. He is my absolute biggest comfort, but even that is not completely safe from my brain.

I’m probably going to sound dumb but what’s the horror element?
She lost control and broke the bed to pieces because it was crooked, then at the end noticed Luna's smile is crooked too.
