I just love how when you were talking about the wetting agent any that fly kept landing and walking on your face, without so much as a blink or flinch!
Greetings From Maryland USA, that is one of the best video examples I've seen on the benefits of a wetting agent. My plan this summer is to use less city water and incorporate a wetting agent on the Beds/ Lawn and rely mostly on what mother nature will provide. Cheers.
Very informative, I especially liked that you also included your garden experiment with the Hydrolink - not many lawn channels show much love for the garden outside of the turf. Great content, many thanks - watching from Melbourne Vic
Wow that’s awesome mate, thanks for tuning in, I’ve started adding conversations for temperatures and areas hope it helps. Enjoy your weekend Cheers Brenton
Good work on the 200 Brenton, what a car eh! Thanks for touching on dry spots, i've had the same on my lawn - wetting agent for the win! Well done on another great vid!
Thanks Stewart glad your enjoying the channel and thanks for your support. Yeah the 200 eats up the highway miles really well. Such a comfortable long distance car
Servus Brenton from Graz/Austria. Using the same sprayer setup. Just about to use a wetting agent for the first time. Good videos, keep it going. Juergen.
Hey Brenton, decided to wind the clock back and check out some of your earlier videos. Your videos are always informative, accurate, easy to follow and down to earth….well with lawns I guess it’s a given they’d be down to earth LOL 😂 Oh yeah, to answer ya question, I’m in Redland Bay QLD 😉. I’ve recently got back into aiming for a nice manicured lawn with 6 month old Tiftuf , was using a very old Steelfort Engineering built 500 lawn master, but dug deep and brought RW22 which is super solid and Aussie built to last, like Jason’s Mey you tired. Meet and spoken with Jason a couple of times, nice honest guy like you, also brought his PRS and run it on my new 36V Ryobi. Any way I’m getting long winded yeah like I do at times on comments , but hey who cares 🤣. Will be good to see your Easter over sew of Ryegrass on you new video. Cheers for now 👍
Well done Brenton, Some great tips about jew and Hydrolink advance. Also great to see you supporting Ben at Lawn tips another favourite of mine. I am in Bundaberg Queensland Australia.
Thanks Paul, glad you liked the vid today. Don't tell Ben I said this but his a great fella and a good mate, his been at me for ages to create a channel and well here we are...
Scottie FlyOnTheWall stay warm down there mate glad your liking the vids I think they are getting better the more I get use to talking in front of a camera 😂
G'day mate glad to hear your enjoying the vids thanks for your support. I can't promise too much bent grass content unfortunately as my climate isn't a cool climate at all. Maybe down the track a little I can do a quick bent vid from my local golf course but no promises I'm afraid. Cheers Brenton
Thanks for the video on wetting agents. I notice your cutting the putting green nice and short, what depth do you cut to and what grass type is it? Thinking of putting a couple putting holes in the garden for a bit of fun :)
G'day Tony lucky bugger living at Port. it's got a funny smell compared to the other wetting agents hey possibly the kelp in there. Have a good weekend mate
Love it mate thanks for tuning into my crazy little channel, Spring is almost here for us and I cant wait for it to warm up. We have a really cold weather front here atm and its meant to get really cold with snow down to 600m in places. (not here though we don't get snow ) 🤟
Youre very welcome. My wife and I want to visit AU when things get more settled. We got lucky a few days ago. a water main broke uphill from us and we have been "harvesting" the runoff which is clear potable water with garden hoses and sandbags. Ive been running water on our property for 4 days now...
sm1tty031 wow hope there was no major damage to buildings or the like. I’d recommend visiting Australia it’s a pretty unique place and apart from the English language connection it’s very different to America in a cultural aspect. Enjoy your week ahead mate 🤘
@@theaussielawn oh no...just running downhill in the gutter. probably got thousands of gallons of water redirected to my bermuda grass with hoses its great!
Great content and editing. Believe it or not, but I had a hard time to keep up with the watering last summer. We had temps above 30 for weeks , which is very unusual here in Norway. I will try the wetting agent this summer - great tip! Looking forward to the next one :)
@@theaussielawn Here in Norway lawn`s are considered more work than nice "frame around the house". Typical gras types are fine fescue, poa pratensis and rye. And lets not forget the moss which is maintenance free (hahah). I have red fescue my self, and are considering to thin out the fescue and reseed with bluegrass.
New Zealand. Nice work bro subed up and have run cool season grass for the last 20 odd years.. Nice content and braver than me when turning the camera my way and doing youtube vids that my kids tell me to hurry up and do! Nice one bro keep them up
Yeah it’s still a bit unnerving at times like filming in the front yard but each time gets easier. U just need to hook in and say to yourself what’s the worst that can happen. Thanks heaps for tuning in and for subscribing 🤘 legend 😎
Hi Brenton. Great video and explanations. Can you still irrigate before using the soil wetting agent, then irrigate afterwards. Watching from Geelong, Victoria
The boo track was a great touch and what does “ forked it “ mean ? Enjoyed the demo and will be trying out some Hydretain. The green looks great, a fan from the US.
Hey thanks for tuning in from America, I love that place been a couple times over the years. " Forked " stuck a garden pitch fork into the ground and levered up the wheel ruts. Hope the imperial measurements made it easier for you. Cheers Brenton
G'day John, I just roll with the standard flat fan nozzles supplied with the Solo boom attachment. Pressure from memory is circa 1.8 bar Thanks for tuning in from Sydney keep well and stay safe down there mate
Hey man. Love the videos and your in depth explanations. I know you wanted to know where we are all from. My name is Bryce I'm based in johanesburg south africa.
G’day Bryce thanks for your support that’s lekker (did I get that right? ) haha seriously though I appreciate you taking the time to send me a message all the way from Joburg. Cheers Brenton
@@theaussielawn hahaha you said it perfectly mate. Very lekker UA-cam channel. I dunno if you've done it in the past but I'm keen to put a home putting green of my own in. Sometime in the near future. Could you maybe make a video on the details of the building of a home putting green from the drainage to the sand used and so on please. Would be greatly appreciated. No worries mate...
The Aussie Lawn great to hear your rolling with Astro mate. I put my first application at the minimum rate on my Tiftuf a couple of weeks back, has made a difference already to the amount of clippings I’m getting as well as thickening up my patch. Thanks for replying, really enjoy your channel 👍
First.. lol Lookn sweet from the spray fert few days ago.. where do i buy the PGR coz I don't see it on Bunnings website.. Also how do I kill off the left over kikuyu grass b4 I try plant new grass (depends on my sunlight times) other wise I'll probably get stuck with kikuyu again.. also my soil is clay do u recommend using a clay breaker b4 I put some top soil down and the new grass..
haha good work mate sorry for the delay in replying.... If you jump onto Ben Sims at Lawn Tips online store you can get it delivered to your door at a very reasonable price. Some on the fly answers to your other questions if you are starting the whole lawn from scratch then apply roundup to treat the kikuyu. If you are able to do so, Import some sandy loam a couple inches thick and lay / seed your new lawn on that, Other wise apply gypsum to help break up the clay (not a fast solution though)
Cheers for the reply mate.. so weed killer for killing off left over kikuyu and sandy loam sounds like the better option and faster since I'm starting fresh new lawn.. I was hoping to do a little versatile putt putt green but I'm not sure if I get enough of sun light for that lawn type and I only have a standard lawn mower so I probably won't be able to get a nice clean close cut..
Green is looking so good mate. Vids are getting better every time!! So good
You'll make me blush mate haha

Hayling Island UK dry as a bone here no rain for 8 weeks
Is that a record for the UK no rain for 8 weeks? Bet your happy that spring has arrived mate
I am watching from Sydney, mate. How often should we apply this product to the lawn?
The official line for hydro link advance is "as required" but in the warmer months I would apply it every 8-12weeks for a general guide
Nice vid Brenton. What were the spray nozzles and pressure you used for that application? From Sydney
G'day John, I just roll with the standard flat fan nozzles supplied with the Solo boom attachment. Pressure from memory is circa 1.8 bar Thanks for tuning in from Sydney keep well and stay safe down there mate
