Now this is something I can do! I’m not an experienced sower by any stretch of the imagination. The idea of stuffing it and sowing it and keeping the puffs under control made me hesitant. But this is something I can wrap my head around.
I watched your video, I have also watched others and you all cut the backing fabric to stuff then put a backing on
But why don't you precut a slit in the back then stitch you will never hit the top fabric by mistake
Knowing me I would definitely accidentally cut through to the front fabric so would separate the two and pick up the smaller square and make a slit in that.
only sew 3 sides of each pouch, sew them together in rows with the open sides all lined up along the edge of the row, fill each pouch lightly, then attach the next row to the first one. The new stitched row will seal the 4th side of each of the pouches in the first row. Then stuff the open edge of each pouch in the second row and stitch on the third row to seal it. Continue on with however many rows you need. Then sew shut the edge of the last row. No need to make it then cut holes in the back to stuff it all!

smart, but it may bulk too much for the tractor foot (not english speaker, it's the right term?), depending on the sewing machine you are using
but you may want to pre-cut the 10x10 square (either with a slit as she does or in two rectangles) before sewing, since the quilt will be lined, instead of ripping each piece after, just to be sure not to rip both layers by accident...
Nimerya Spawnbrød I don't think you understand my comment...? I meant that's how it is done without having to cut slits and sew them after. You don't have to stuff them jammed full...you need enough to make it puffy and warm, but leave enough room for it to drape around you nicely. That way there is plenty of room for the "walking" foot. And your English is great btw! xxx

Guau, a pesar de que no entiendo tu idioma, solo el verlo ME ENCANTO, ME GUSTO , lo hiciste con la paciencia del mundo, así es como deben de enseñar TODOS TODOS LOS UA-camRS, no importa si se alarga el vídeo, los que saben y son expertos, que le adelanten, no cambies esta tecnica para enseñar, tu si piensas en los que no sabemos nada, hay muchos que ni siquiera saben agarrar una aguja, buen enfoque, acercas muy bien la cámara, y no tapas con tu dedo lo que haces. maravilloso. solo tuve una duda, cuando tomas la tira de los 5 cuadros para unirlo a todo los demas, una costura va para un lado y la otra para otro? no se ve bién porque la tela es blanca y no se aprecia, tambien la tela de 44 por 44 no se deshilacha? que tela es?. Es primera vez que te veo y voy a seguir buscando vídeos tuyos para ver otras cosas, espero que esten igual de hermosos como este que acabo de ver y sobre todo y muy importante.....LA PACIENCIA, LA CALMA, con que nos lo enseñaste..... eso me gustó. FELICIDADES. Yo soy de México.

Как всё долго и нудно.Зачем создавать лишние проблемы? Гораздо проще прострочить края и стянуть ниткой, пришить без наметки и последнюю операцию тоже сделать на машинке с косой бейкой.
Для безупречного качества можно упрастить только последнюю операцию. Я согласна долго и нудно, но качественно.

I know there has to be a really good reason for it but why not put the stuffing in the individual squares before you closed them all the way instead of slitting the back to put the stuffing in?
