Great comparison! I bought the bolo tines when I bought mine last year.. didn't use them at the time.. I literally JUST did the garden this year with the picks again.. and NOW I watch your video and I'm kicking myself for not having installed them!! 🙂 The Yard-boss is a great little machine for small home gardeners.

You might try raising the handlebars to the top position to help it to dig deeper.. mine has zero issues with going deep, it does easily get bound up with log weeds, but I just pop out the cotter pin and remove the blades, takes about 30 seconds to remove the weeds and put the blades back on.
By the way, I love mine, being an older lady with back problems the yard boss takes a lot of strain out of my yard work.

Pick tines are not for tilling. They are for cleaning and preparing already tilled areas, and used between rows on already planned gardens so you dont harm root sytems.

Not so at all. We use a yard boss weekly landscaping. Especially like the broom attachment for cleaning sidewalks after jobs and rubber paddles to clean rock out of grass. And I just used it to define edges of a bed we tilled for a customer last year.
