So many metalheads claim they want nu-metal back, and when a band finally does it, they just call them "wannabe (insert nu-metal band) " I get it, this song definitely has strong Korn influence. But it is still a damn good song that has its own twist. Listen to the other songs off the same album, they're very different from this. This band is going to blow up over the next few years, and it'll bring back nu-metal more than any other band has so far in recent years.
this song is a tribute to korn musically. every song on the album is different. saw them in 2018 with the the original singer she was good but ck smiles vocals elevated them to a new level.

Chaoseum is highly recommended from me as a long-time Metalhead but this band has something special & different to 1,000's of bands trying to make it. You will hear more in the future of Chaoseum believe me. Check out Smile Again & their new album dropping in June 2021. And no, I am not with the band, I just heard them once and I'm hooked.
I love the sound of Chaoseum. but their Second Life album is a mix of different band sounds. I get a vibe of Korn, Orgy, Coal Chamber, a bit of Mudvayne, some thrash elements in some songs, a bit of everything in Nu metal. if they want to sound like Korn, they should focus on that range to give them a solid identity. they should also improve how they end their songs. & they should also improve their songwriting. but damn do they sound good! I want them to succeed.
My thoughts exactly. I’m a vocalist and have made music one of my passions. Everyone is so one sided, but I feel like I liked it for what it is. Guy can’t help it that his voice sounds like Korns Jonathan. I think it just happened to be the music he liked and he knows he sounds like him but is saying f that I’m not going to stop doing what I love just because of that.

This should be forgotten about and really does nothing for the band overall compared to literally anything else of Second Life that are actually just great songs in their own right. I got both of their albums and they fall under swiss metalcore and there is a metalcore influence in sound more often than not that gives me impressions such as lamb of god and others here and there. I do admit smile again made me think Korn first thing but as I continued to investigate, I found that they are more metalcore than anything with some nu metal influence here and there.

Their acoustic stuff reminds me quite a lot of a band called Breed 77. His voice and the tone of the acoustic guitar is very reminiscent

I got both of their albums and they fall under swiss metalcore and there is a metalcore influence in sound more often than not that gives me impressions such as lamb of god and others here and there. I do admit smile again made me think Korn first thing but as I continued to investigate, I found that they are more metalcore than anything with some nu metal influence here and there.
@@wintersworldgaming i have no clue what metalcore is, my personal favorite is hardcore heavy metal but i also like other stuff that doesn't fall into that, hell i actually like a country called live like u were dying lol so my tastes vary, idk, I'm just not a fan of copycat music, sure influence is fine but most of what i heard from these guys are practically a copy of korn js.
