The vans definitely have more room than the trucks. Truck-wise the ACTY is the most cramped with the Mitsubishi being the most "roomy" if you can call it that. This is a fantastic video showing everyone that you can fit in these if you take a little caution when getting in :-) Love the ACTY vans btw!
This was a great video to show how a tall person fits in a Japanese mini truck. I'm 6'2" and 230 pounds and I fit in my 1996 Daihatsu Hijet in almost exactly the same way. I'm older so not as flexible and it was a bit awkward at first but now it feels normal. The only real trick is getting my large size 13 hiking boots inside the truck, and I do the same thing you do with your size 14 sneakers - I turn the left toe inward so I can slide my left foot under the pedals and around the steering column. Headroom in the kei trucks is no problem because there is ample 6" clearance between the top of my head and the cab. I think I'll fabricate a shelf for the front of the cab to utilize some of that potential storage space.
I am in the UK, am 6 ft 3in and being driving Kei trucks, vans, and a car for over thirty years. Actys's,and now Piaggio Porter truck (Italian assembled Hijet),and Daihatsu Copen car.
Sure thing. I wouldn’t call it “professionally done” by any means, but it works and is sturdy. I’ll make another short video on it in the next week, but the rack is from harbor freight.
Straightforward video, no nonsense, loved it.
I'm 6'6" and I still fit in Honda Acty vans
The vans I’ve heard have a bit more legroom. The seats are adjustable back

6-6? Wow! I assume you are on the younger side.

Do you mind sharing where you got that roof rack and how it's attached to the top??
