With Jam republic vs Mannequeen I remember they needed to compromise on the dance because Latrice hurt her leg and Redlic was hurt too and both of them were sent to the hospital. I am IN LOVE with your in depth analysis btw!
I literally cannot for the life of me dance and I have no idea what is going on, so hearing you do really thorough and understandable breakdowns and analyses of the crews' dances is a godsend for me haha. Love your videos. You now have a fan in New Zealand :)
Your comment made me laugh at loud when you said “god send” 😂😂 I love being able to do the Lords work 😂😂 your encouragement is so meaningful and a great motivator to try to continue to grow and be better and better through each video made!!! It is super appreciated!
JR was more charismatic in the live dance challenge thats why they win 3:0 by judges. They were able to fix their weak points. MQ won the live audience but by a few numbers.
Thank you! So confession: I technically got the Tsubakill and BEBE wrong because I went off of the song choices instead of the content hence why I was so surprised that Tsubakill choreographed the section they did! But the other ones I felt pretty confident on those guesses and I’m glad I was able to guess those more accurately!! Appreciate the support!!
im guessing jam republic followed that doll aesthetic since lesserafims song (eve, psyche and the bluebeards wife) has a lot of lyrics mentioning how theyre not dolls and similar stuff, since the songs main theme is about women breaking free from society norms
Love your analysis!! It's pretty impressive that you can read some Korean FYI, the WOLFLO crew consists of 6 professional battlers, most of whom are top-tier hiphop battlers in Korea. The crew was just formed around the beginning of this year, and it seems that they've only done a few showcases at battle contests as a crew. Also, 2 members just joined the crew for SWF2. And the LADYBOUNCE crew specializes in showcases. Nob, Vessi, and Biggy, the oldest members of the crew, have been working as a crew for 15 years. But they have hardly done any K-Pop choreography. They have often been invited to perform as guest showcases at battle competitions, and they have also participated in some all-style performance competitions.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! Thank you also for the insight on some of the crews! I can not WAIT for Wolf Lo to step up to the plate in some of the freestyle battles
Thank you so much for this, is really nice to hear a fully fleshed out analysis to some of this dancers that I've been following for so long. Bellow I'm going to add some comments as I watch just to give some context about the dancers and the show. 1st Battle The girl at 16:15 is Locker Zee, locking is her main style and she is mostly a battle dancer. She made to the Top 24 of Summer Dance Forever last year (ua-cam.com/video/ZyB__EGfY-w/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SummerDanceForever). I think is feels forced because they are trying to challenge the opposing crew with special moves in the copy part and the locking knee drop is hard. 18:15 that's Lady Bounce's choreo, the girl doing the "bonebreaking" and dip, Vessi, has vogue as her main style and again they're using special genre moves to make the copy challenging. 28:55 is not only a popularity vote, it's a weighted average between the public vote and the judge's score - so the technical aspects matter. 2nd Battle 33:35 the show's producers pick and mix the songs and the crews in each matchup debate who gets each section. 37:25 the woman you noticed is Babysleek (40yo if you believe), very respected dancer in Korea, and used to dance waacking before transitioning to her current hiphop style. She still sometimes judges waacking competitions. 3rd Battle Nothing to say except that Bada's presence is insane. 4th Battle 1:43:10 the artist is LE SSERAFIM Honestly I think Mannequeen did a solid 8/10 copy of Jam Republic's, but JR got murdered on the waacking choreo. Their inexperience in the style really showed and Andrey's failed leg extension was the most obvious mistake of the whole mission. Overall the cleanliness problem will be endemic throughout the show, the crews have very little time between missions to make the choreographies.
YESSSSS!!!! Thank you you THANK YOU for your perspective on this! I completely agree with you 1000% and also thank you for dropping a link regarding Locker Zee and her experience, it truly is unfortunate some of the essence was sacrificed in order to beef up their Choreo, but I totally understand the risks!! I was totally expecting these challenges and routines to not be as clean (with the exception of the mega crew round… that mess better be FIRE AF😂😂) but that doesn’t mean I can stop myself from talking about those missed details😂 Thank you once again for your feedback and I hope to continue on this journey with you and hear more about your perspective as well!
I stumbled on your videos by chance and It's so interesting hearing your thoughts and opinions with the background knowledge of your experience as a dancer too. Really appreciate the videos you're putting out 🙏
Wow!!! Thank you thank you!! Your support and comments have been so helpful to me and are a great motivator as I continue to make these!!! Excited to keep going into the weeks ahead!
Wow. Okay First of all LOVE the analysis. I am not the type to comment and just like to lurk around videos. But I seeing the LOADS of videos in your channel of long analysis makes me have to. Thank you for taking your time to do these. Like I really enjoy them. I might as well take snacks while watching your videos lol. I just discovered your channel and looking through each video never fails to impress me. Kudos!
Thank you for the encouragement! I really enjoy watching them all and I feel that everyone brings different strengths and weaknesses to the table which makes it perfect for analyzing!
It was a super close call between the two! I also know that jam has such a great fan base that it really has helped them in the fan poll portion of voting which is great!
Thank you so much! I really love sharing feedback and discussing about all the things together! It’s one of my favorite things I do in the industry and I’m so happy that I’m able to do it here in this context!
1:54:39 damn even tho everyone giving MQ shit run cuz they struggled with jam choreo groove lower body part When in fact they should be praised cuz I think they stayed all night practicing that part but jam didn’t focus on MQ parts
A lot of votes comes from youtube views base on the amount view so basically popularity. Even if one of the crew isn’t good compare to the next it doesn’t necessary mean they will lose. The best dancer or crew can still lose if they don’t have popularity at all. Its not 100% base on the decision of the professional dance judge. If it was based on 100% judge then it would be a lot fair
This is the reaction I'm waiting for from a Profesional dander/choreographer themself you said all the flaws and mistakes of dancers and giving opinion about their posture and style is so great... I'm waiting for other members of street woman fighter s2 battle mission🥰🥰🥰
Just discovered your channel and I’m really enjoying your analysis on the latest season of swf! You’re very articulate and explain the different techniques and nuances in the dance routines that I normally would miss! I’m really curious what you would have to say about some of Super M’s performances, what with the group consisting of some of the best dancers in Kpop. Hope to see something like that from you!
Thank you so much for your recommendation! I do react to many other types of dancing videos (with Kpop being another big one!) so I will add it to the list! Is there a particular track and routine you wanted me to look at?
@@jess_holyfield Yes! The camera work guide for their song jopping (closest thing to a dance practice) and their performance of I Can’t Stand the Rain at capitol records are what come to mind. The choreography for both of them are pretty different stylistically, so I’d like to hear your thoughts on how each member interpreted them. Tiger inside dance practice is also a good one!

@@jess_holyfield That’s true, I am no dancer I just love watching jam republic because of Kirsten. I will not be watching SWF2 if not for her. In this challenge both crew copy each other's choreos. I think winners are 1 million, Bebe, Mannequeen and Deep n dap. And I think in this challenge Jam republic didn't do well Mannequeen's part. Specially waacking part and balance part. Because the important thing the judges, they are doing well each other's choreos or not. And Wolflo's chore so simple and weak from 1million. Tsubakill's choreo is so good but Bebe made more kpopish choreo. Also Lady bounce doing good job but I think Deep n dap will win according to global votes and viewing
