You and your wacky thumbnails LOL. I must have looked at this thumbnail like 15 times before I realized it was your video! Frank the Bunny (from Donnie D.) was actually my avatar on another site I posted on. To be honest with you; I had to watch it several times before I came to love it. Gosh, I haven't seen Time after Time since I watched it in a Drive in of all places. I for one, Loved Interstellar! Space Travel/Time is my JAM!.... I think I will rewatch it now! Thanks Double G!
Damn, you're good at this, David! I've only seen a few of these movies, but your enthusiasm and commentary made this an enjoyable video. I remember thinking that Time After Time seemed like a ridiculous concept when it came out. Now I really want to see it!
@@MarkMorris-1962 I wish it were streaming - I really want to rewatch it. I guess I need a physical copy (I wonder if I have one….). Thank you for the wonderful comments too.
Midnight in Paris is definitely a must see. It's about romanticizing the past. It's worth it for the amount of historical figures (1920's) depicted. Take care.
I've only seen two of the movies - Time After Time and Bill and Ted. I agree with your assessment of both of those. I think my favorite time travel movie is The Time Machine with Rod Taylor. Maybe that will be #1 on this list - I guess I'll find out next week. Happy Holidays GG!
There is a theory that all points of time happen simultaneously. If you could time travel you would have to be able to travel along the points of the time line. That is as if time is linear. We can only time travel in our memories . Do you remember the time you?????? Is a very common phrase in language. Unless you are in the mob... . forget about it! Lol. Great video again David.
The remember time comment reminds me of a movie I recently watched called Coma where the dream world is made up of fragments of the inhabitants’ memories. The different theories of time travel make these movies fun. When time travel is finally figured out, we will look back on many of these movies as HOW could they have possibly thought that????
I've seen all of the movies but three (Midnight in Paris, Time Crimes and The Endless). All the rest I've seen several times. Donnie Darko is basically a time line that should've never happened because Donnie was supposed to die when the plane engine crashed in his bedroom but he didn't so death and time was trying to reset to that moment when he was supposed to die. That means that everything in the movie never happened.
I just rewatched Danny Darko for the third time. It still is hard to understand. I think what I pull away from it is when it's your time to go, that's it. Even when you know the exact time and place, there is nothing you can do to stop it.
GG...I haven't watched part 1 yet 🤦♂I'm so old that I saw Donnie Darko in the cinema. Apparently there's a director recut that explains all of those questions, but apparently it ruins the mystique and open end-ness of the film which of course is what I like about it. Predestination is complete head trip. Love it. Super hero movies...no thanks...sorry...not sorry. Midnight In Paris is technically time travel, but it's more one of those we're missing something modern times like substance & it's a love story. Good though. I love Interstellar until the very end when he ends up trapped in a loom WTF! Nice one GG PS The Matrix is totally overrated mate
I don’t know whether to be good or bad. I could explain that loom or tesseract or whatever it was called from Interstellar. I’ll assume you just didn’t like it instead of not understood it!!! Matrix was a film I saw at the theater and coming out was like a trip - that movie upended reality. It was so cool - maybe my seeing it when and where I did made a huge impact. That’s true with a lot of art - your mood can affect your reaction to it. I need to rewatch Donnie D. I think I would appreciate it much more now. Then I could watch that spoiler version. If you watched this part first, my first vid will be a let down. I tried to be more technical in this one. Thank you for watching even though you think the Matrix is just ho-hum!!!
@ No I get it GG. It just looks ridiculous. Like Matthew McConaughey is doomed to an eternity of weaving yarn 😂 that imagery is such a let down after the excellent philosophising & some pretty solid science for a film. The premise of Matrix loses me from the start. My version (excuse me probably getting the pill colours wrong) would be: “If you take the blue pill you will continue to live on in blissful ignorance or you can take the red pill and have your eyes opened to the hellscape of reality” “Blue pill please” roll credits! All done in 10mins & you still have time to go out for a meal & drinks 👍 Same as Inception’s premise: “We want to steal an idea out of one rich guys head to give the advantage to another rich guy”…me: “I don’t care” 😂 Cheers…Ben PS GG you know it’s all said with love 👍
Inception is amazing but boring. It’s another if its conundrums. We can always disagree on music and movies - none of this really matters. I wouldn’t want the blue pill. You’re like the villain who eats the steak. You’re a lousy steak-eater!!!!’n

Always look for the Garage Geek logo on the side - I mostly put that except for some Friday vids. Drive-Ins - I remember those!!!!
@@garagegeek4863 LOL... you are not that much younger than me.... You know you've been to a drive in or two LOL
Clash of the Titans (forget the second movie)….

I might buy it from Amazon - it’s not too expensive. So great to see you in the comments.

It’s got to be number one. Oh wait, I remember what 1 is and it’s not Time Machine. Spoilers. Time to watch more time travel movies, Mr Weaver!!!!!

I love love Midnight in Paris David. I'm sure you would like it.
I need to find it.
@ Woody on stresming is quite lacking.

I don't watch many movies, but I've seen a few of these.
You’ve seen Interstellar? Time after Time is a must too.
Time After Time, that was a good suspense movie,
One of my faves.

I need to watch it again. That is a powerful message.
i love that movie Interstellar!
You’re a romantic at heart.
These will be better in the future. Trust me.
Duuuuuuuuude, Bill and Ted!
I take it that you like it. Lol. I’m just not a comedy person.
Interstellar is an excellent movie..I'm the same way that if it is on i have to watch it
I’m with you, Big Nasty!!!! Such a great movie.

Booooooo! Bill and Ted are great!
