My mac 250 is a bit grumpy at times, but its never been that hard to start unless its been out of fuel for a long time. Is it a lot happier after it's warmed up? I let mine warm up before I made my vid.
Nice saw sounds the same as mind but I was cuttting 15 years old hard wood ,its hard to get these saws to perform when they are over 50 years old Banger
i havent done anything to this saw other than hit it with a couple waves of degreaser and sharpen the chain. i bet if i was to clean or rebuild the carb and clean the points it would prob start after a couple pulls, it does fine once u warm it up a sec
I own 16.. 250 a few supers and 350s and tons of parts that's when they made a real saw no one likes to run them now days sure is a real mans saw!
Carb kit with new diaphragm. Pop the Welch plug replace the check valve new lines filters just cause. And that hard starting should stop

this one probably has a bit of a fuel issue, diaphrams are probably worn
carl27890. I agree i got a first pull start one.!
I would think that cycling it dry that many times is tough on the engine an you would be better using engine starting fluid.
