Hi Yann, yeah, think this valve is a lot better that the original one. Although this is procedure impacts the originality of the motorcycle, I think it's almost a must as the original valve is simply unreliable. Just go for it, the tank is prepaired for this, it seems.
@@yannkitson116 Ethanol also causes overheating, poor combustion, loss of power & sooted up spark plugs on 2 strokes, unless one mixes in a shot (33:1 to 40:1 per litre) of diesel or kerosene in with the petrol oil. This raises the fuel's boiling point back up to pre-ethanol llevels.
@@CZ350tuner Thanks for the information. My Jawa 350/640 has problems with idling and it need constant attention unless the idling is set very high about 2000 rpm.
It could be, that you have to check or rebuild the carb (fuel valve closeness, needle, check the jet jam), reset the floating chamber fuel hight and then set idle mixture (when engine is hot). That being said, if the engine problem is the carb of course. I would firstly check, only then rebuild - if something is bad. The quality of new aftermarket parts these days is no good for Jawa.
Thank you. It is a thermometer from the oldtimer Skoda 120L which means sensor and gauge. The sensor is sitting on a small beam, that is connected via cylinder head nuts to both of the cylinder heads.
Great job, I might do that after I have done speedometer repair you show in your other video.

I never had any problems, with fuel taps, in my 42 years of riding Jawa & CZ motorcycles, until they started contaminating petrol with ethanol.
Exactly
Is that why it is happening? Interesting.

Good job!
Please tell me more about the thermometer you use. What is it and how is this connected to an aircooled engine?
