Golden light is what brought me here I had never heard of them but instantly loved them and come here to experience everything that they are Wow truly in awe💥
After seeing them 6 times, framing 2 tour posters, and collecting most everything on vinyl (just need Pyriamiddd!!) I can say I'm incredibly stoked for this live album. These guys are incredibly underrated, and I think Josh is s damn musical genius to be honest. Here's to fuckin the stars lads ✨
I remember looking at the Spotify views back in 2010 and being like dam only 200k for rawnald gregory erickson the second. Everything else was like barley 20k views.
I just got tickets for San Francisco next year. I live in Germany. I've been waiting since 2006 for you to come and tour here. If you don't come to me, I gotta go and visit you.
I remember being surprised the first time I saw Stafucker and they weren't all dressed in drag lol. Nice to see Josh throwin it back to the old days here, some of the best shows I've ever seen.
I like that description I've heard other people describe thier sound as a happier crystal castles but I think these guys are in a league of thier own .
You see the problem is this; we identify in our experience a differentiation between what we do and what happens to us. We have a certain number of actions that we define as voluntary; we feel in control of those. And then over against that there is all those things that are involuntary. But the dividing line between these two is very arbitrary. Because for example, when you move your hand you feel that you decide whether to open it or to close it. But then ask yourself how do you decide? When you decide to open your hand. Do you first decide to decide? You don’t do you. You just decide. And how do you do that? And if you don’t know how you do it; is it voluntary or involuntary? Let’s consider breathing. You can feel that you breathe deliberately. You can control your breath. But when you don’t think about it, it goes on. Is it voluntary or involuntary? So we come to have a very arbitrary definition of self; that much of my activity that I feel I do. That then doesn’t include breathing most of the time. It doesn’t include the heartbeats. It doesn’t include the activity of the glands. It doesn’t include digestion. It doesn’t include how you shape your bones, circulate your blood. Do you or do you not do these things? Now if you get with yourself and you find out that you are all of yourself; a very strange thing happens. You find that your body knows that you are one with the universe. In other words, that the so-called involuntary circulation of your blood is one continuous process with the stars shining. If you find out that it’s you who circulates your blood you will at the same moment find out that you are shinning the sun. Because your physical organism is one continuous process with everything else that is going on. Just as the waves are continuous with the ocean. Your body is continuous with the total energy system of the cosmos and its all you. Only you’re playing the game that you’re only this bit of it. But as I’ve tried to explain there are in physical reality no such things as separate events. So then remember also when I tried to work towards a definition of omnipotence. Omnipotence is not knowing how everything is done, it’s just doing it. You don’t have to translate it into language. ~ this song really feels like a beautiful existential crisis.
Zoey Lauria thanks for writing that out. I couldn’t make much sense out of it just listening because it’s hard to hear. Do you know if the band came up with that themselves or is it a recording of some philosopher? I don’t know the band that well.. It’s an interesting point. I’m a long distance runner and I always struggle to determine if I truly choose to run or if I run because that’s the energy flow of the larger system that I’m a part of.
I love this band, greetings from Paraguay. I'm fucking poor and maybe I'll never see this band live, but I still haven't lost hope that they'll come to South America sometime (little chance)
They've come to a small theater in midtown OKC, OK (The Tower Theater) and it was such an amazing intimate show. Shy Boys opened for them, which was also a stellar set. Everyone danced the entire show. They're returning early 2022 and I cannot wait. L O N G L I V E S T R F K R ! ! !
111 comments! ✨ Magic. Just like the magic that this band has brought to my life since I discovered them in 2020... Starf'er you have gotten me thru the past crazy year, I love you with all my heart 💜. As soon as I heard Alan watts in your music I knew we were soul family

This is absolutely a band that needs a live album album!!
They just released one from this concert, its on Spotify!
Confused at how this doesn't have millions of views. It's incredible.

Great to see Ian & Will still at it. Not convinced the rhythm section grasp what the Bunnymen were all about though.
Really cool to see Josh on drums again
most shows i've been to of them (seen 4 or 5) feature a section where he and Keil switch spots
hot damn, Atlantis swings.... i had no idea they were this good live - it helps that the songs are good. this is a party..

how to sound like the vocalist? what effects needed
i dont hear any effects on his voice here...sometimes he uses an echo/delay type effect
Some reverb and a lil slapback doubling.
This is what techno in Europe was suppose to be! It was before its time.
Amazing! Almost like a PSB concert.
