I said something once before, but I just wanted to take a minute to say how much of an underrated channel this is. These videos are remarkably well produced. The research scratches well beneath the surface, which brings new details to light, even on the most familiar cases. The news media clippings, mentions of similar (but unrelated) cases, and the “on location” photography, brings everything into perspective in a way that no other true-crime investigative channel I’ve seen has managed to do. Clearly you have a passion for researching these cases and an interest in documenting your findings, but if you ever feel like it’s not worth all the trouble, I can say with the utmost certainty, there is a tremendous value here for the viewer.
Remember back in the day when tv journalists like Geraldo Rivera got their start, reporting in NY, uncovering serious scandals, making a difference? Wow how things have changed.

It would be interesting if you did a video on the 1975-1977 Bag Murders. I have read the Cruising book and watched the movie as well, but up to some time ago not even a Wikipedia article existed on the crimes. I understand that Randy Jurgensen, who appears in the film, was a real police officer at the time of some similar events taking place around 1968 and on which the book was actually based, so it would be good to clarify all that. Your channel is simply superb. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
I am actually researching the Bag Murders right now! I had put it off for a while because like you said, so little information existed. I'm happy to say I've uncovered some things that have never been shared before though, and that case has so many rabbit-holes to go down... stay tuned!

I lived in Manhattan at that time and remember the police sketch and the words boys stabbed to death, (penis cut off) underneath. It felt like the low point of New York's decline into depravity.
A white man roaming around Harlem back then would have been kinda weird already; I think if he'd had an Australian accent, it would've been noticed and mentioned.
He’s a jackass. It’s partly because of him, that mental patients run wild through our streets, rather than in institutions where they could be receiving the treatment they need to assist them through their troubles. Geraldo is nothing more than a lefty opportunist…
7:50 You got me excited with the SPECIAL CBS MUSIC That I remember from my youth. I really hope you show footage of that show. Otherwise that would be dishonest, misdirected journalism.
To my knowledge, yes. At least the bad skin. And notice how he was being wheeled out of court in a chair...I automatically thought he had some problem walking. He could've had untreated syphilis. The symptoms match up with a lot of his supposed mannerisms and manias (limping, psychosis, monomania, etc). I also thought of someone who had been a child Polio victim. The other big red flag to me is the kid who survived describing him as "White". In Harlem anyone non-Black would be considered "White" to an 8-yr old child. I automatically thought- Puerto Rican. Someone with a lighter complexion who blends in easily. He's probably wobbling around like a drunk, talking to himself, so ppl ignore him. If they see him around a child briefly, they stay out of other's business (a known NYC trait), unless a kid is screaming/being chased. The media really screwed this story over.
@@NickCharles-v2pIn Harlem at that time black kids would know what a Puerto Rican looks like and would be able to differentiate him from a white guy. East Harlem is Spanish Harlem where some of these crimes took place. Black and Latinos lived side by side in Harlem at that time.

Great story and production. Been to New York once. That was enough. Just sayin’. 👍
I was born in 85 just after the all this when the mob fell prior to the gulliani years of cleaning up nyc. This is horrible
Having been a young boy once upon a time this is the most horrifying shit I've ever heard.
As soon as I heard Geraldo's voice I smashed my phone!!
I lived in Manhattan at that time and remember the police sketch and the words boys stabbed to death, (penis cut off) underneath.
It felt like the low point of New York's decline into depravity.
Poor Clifford no justice for him!😢
I was born and raised in Queens ny I was 12yrs old when this happened
Wow, how truly horrifying for all the child victims! I can imagine this is pure nightmare fuel to male viewers!
City's*
Geraldo man-spreading his leg up onto the edge of the roof.....so gross.....
He was so low key handsome
Why aren't there any photos of Erno?
Dang, now that’s the Bronx 😅
Geraldo ? Cool to see you .😅😅😅😅😅😅
Amsterdam avenue.. Amsterdam RULES!
Uh, the title of this video should be "Charlie Chop-Off - New York CITY'S Forgotten Serial Killer." Not "cities."
If theres one song they could take out of Willy Wonka, its "Cheer-up, Charlie".
*Dont tell me anything about that god-aweful Johnny Depp movie.
DONT!!
A white man roaming around Harlem back then would have been kinda weird already; I think if he'd had an Australian accent, it would've been noticed and mentioned.
Geraldo was very sexy back then
He’s a jackass. It’s partly because of him, that mental patients run wild through our streets, rather than in institutions where they could be receiving the treatment they need to assist them through their troubles. Geraldo is nothing more than a lefty opportunist…

What does a "clear complexion" mean?
No acne/scars/etc.

You got me excited with the SPECIAL CBS MUSIC
That I remember from my youth. I really hope you show footage of that show. Otherwise that would be dishonest, misdirected journalism.
Road To Ruin by Church ⛪️ ✨️ Of Misery
At 05:23 a giant NYC rat makes an appearance on the video.
Did Soto have bad skin and a limp?
Four skin ?
What a terrible case. What a horrible way to die! I mean my brother and I drowned a cat once. But we didnt kick around human genitals. So.....
All the other viewers: D:
25:20 It’s pronounced “House-ton” Street, not “Hughes-ton”.
I put some of the blame on these stupid moms who kept sending their kids out for errands.
