Dear Friend, I was in Paris in September 1993 for 3 days. I went to the top level of Eiffel Tower and from that top I enjoyed the scenic beauty of Paris and Sienne River. The train Journey from Dieppe to Paris's St Lazar Station was mind blowing .On UK side Folkestone and on France side Dieppe was crossed by overnight ship journey as CHUNNEL was not there. Walking in Chilly weather there in Bond Street, Marylbonne Road, and Entry to Buckingham Palace was exhilarating

When I had visited in the '90s, the guide told us a story about how people did not like the tower when it was built. They found it ugly. There was one man who used to go up every evening and have his tea at the top of the tower. When asked why he did so, he said that was the only point in Paris where he did not have to see the Eiffel Tower and could drink his tea in peace!!! 😀 Brings back nostalgic memories of my visit to these places.

Most of these street vendors selling cloths, souvenirs etc are from Pakistan or from Bangladesh ... they call themselves as Indians tahts all.
BTW, Statue of Unity , Ahmedabad is the world's tallest Statue..
