Much like Bale he just seems like a polite young kid. If he stays humble he can become a superstar no doubt about it ! Just hope he stays injury free 🙏. Might add that to my pre bedtime prayer for VDV’s Hamstrings 🤣

@@terryhodgkinson1690that's a total overreaction and very unfair on Maddison who is a very talented player and an absolute asset to spurs.

Hey Sonny ! Hope you’re well! The biggest compliment I can give Mickey Moore is that I finally believe we have a credible replacement for Sonny when he finally stops playing for us !

Moore may well get a start on Sunday, but no-one should be surprised if he comes off after an hour. He played a full 90 mins (minus second half injury time) and he's yet to play two top games back to back in 3 days, so I'm sure his energy levels and fitness will be carefully monitored if he does start, making sure he doesn't get a fatigue-based injury.
How good is he? It's impossible to say beyond a certain level, all that can be said is that every time a bar has been raised, he's cleared it. Been ahead of his age all through the Spurs junior teams (played U21 at 17), working his way through the England age-group teams, scoring amazing goals both for club and country at junior levels.
He did very, very pleasing things to the eye on Thursday night, but his level, long-term, will be measured by his goal involvements, his successful dribbles but also in how well he contributes to team performance without possession.
His next challenge is undoubtedly starting in the EPL and I'm sure the club will consider carefully how and when to introduce him. They will also need to decide how many minutes per week is sustainable for him at 17 (might be 75-135 mins in two games a week at present).
One thing's for sure: if Levy can replace an aging Son without having to write a £100m cheque, he will be in absolute heaven!!
Personally, if you want to make modern comparisons, I'd pick Vinicius Jnr as a comparator. A team player, liked by all his colleagues, no trouble to his manager, scores lots of goals. My pick from 50 years of watching english football is the Scot, John Robertson, one of the key linchpins of Brian Clough's all-conquering Nottingham Forest Side of the late 1970s/early 80s.

I am not so sure Ange will start him. Maybe ease him into the game as a sub. We have Richy potentially playing in that position. Odobert will also need to get minutes. If Ange decides it is a perfect opportunity for Mikey to start his debut, then I am all for it. Would rather that, than him making a start in the Carabao Cup Match against Man City later this week. That will be a much tougher game.

  • @BelgianHotspur
    @BelgianHotspur Місяць тому +3

I am also very pleased how Ange is dealing with Mickey ! We don’t want to play him consistently while he’s still growing. I think that too many young players get overplayed young and just totally breakdown. Case in point Ryan sessegnon

Sonny, I think we need to be careful about Mikey and I’m sure Ange will be, we’ve already seen what can happen with Johnston, the same idiots would do the same thing with Mikey and how would that affect a 17 year old.
He has the world at his feet but so have many before him that for one reason or another didn’t make it. He is in the right place with the right management a round him, and hopefully he will go on to have the success we all hope for him.
Tbh I don’t see him starting at the weekend but coming off the bench which I think will be the right thing to do. Coys

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. Look at Harry Kane. Moore has incredible potential and if he keeps up the hard work he WILL achieve the levels we all hope.
You guys are spot on about the negative fans. We need to allow him to blow hot and cold. I was at the West Ham match and some idiots were giving Brennan a hard time after 20 mins even though he was on a 6/6 streak. There really are some gems out there 🤦

He’s an exciting prospect but for now that’s all he is. Let’s not build him up too much as there will be many who will then try to knock him down. Let him do the talking through his football. Then with patience we will see just how good he is.

Everyone has to remember Mikey Moore is one injury away from being just a good Pro. Potential for sure, but not at the physical level when Rooney broke on the scene. Let's hope he stays injury free and some donkey Defender doesn't put him on the injury list. Give Mikey Moore time...

He seems a really humble lad.
Certainly not a Jack the Lad.
Beneath his reserved manner I believe there's a steely desire to be a great player.
He appears to have the talent too.
I'd liken his character to that of Christian Eriksen.
Let's hope he, like Erikson, blossoms into the amazing player he can be.

Nah, hes not the next Neymar at all!! Moore is gonna be even better than Neymar, to the point Neymar will change his name to NeyMoore!! Seriously though, we should just let them be themselves as calling them the next whomever can put added preasure on youngsters and if they dont match those high expectations, then some will call them flops even though theyve had a very good career and won things but not as much as whom youre basing the comparison on or off.

  • @waichong9389

If he wants to be anywhere near neymar.
He will have to leave spurs ASAP.
Levy is just a front for the men from the middle east investors.
Spurs have to lose or draw to the shit teams .so Levy and the bookies can make money together.
The investors want money and dont give a shit how the fans feel .
