These sound like flying wolves.. This session must've constituted a nice contrasting break from concentrating like bilyo for hours on precise work with tiny pieces of wood and ca and wire and trim flight after trim flight.. Exhilarating flying! Nice one. 👍
They really are flying wolves! I will say the assembly is that same level of precise construction, and once that's done for you, you have to carefully cut the slots on your own for the servos and linkages. Not for the faint of heart!
Great Video! I was wondering though for your science olympiad 2022 Stinger, there is a new propeller that makes my plane vibrate. Do you have any way I could fix it so it doesn't vibrate?
It's either shaking because one blade is heavier than the other or a blade is bent. You can glue tiny dabs of clay to the lighter blade tip until the prop balances horizontal at rest. If it continues to vibrate, check for a bent blade and carefully massage that blade back to the correct twist.

@@jas-FPV I wish I could tell you but we never measured it and I've since returned to a geared Neu motor for hotliner use because the launches were so nasty with the small speed props. Ecalc was predicting something like 120-130A on the 8s setup we used. It very nearly killed the motor. It was very hot.
I took up dynamic soaring a few years ago. I have flown my latest self designed carbon composit glider at my local hill in 100kph wind fastest speed so far 600kph. Though at 73 my reaction times could be better so I am looking for a younger pilot. After 60 years of modeling I really would like to be the first to reach 1000kph before I l peg out.
That's hauling freight for sure. I've tried DSing off small hills and treelines with dlgs and just cannot get the hang of it. Even tried in a simulator. My brain just cannot work the right pattern and I've crashed a couple airplanes trying (fortunately no major damage, but a clear warning that it was time to stop).
@@joshuawfinn It was a steep learning curve. I put two models into the hill myself. But the G forces have claimed two others. Max gees pulled so far 152g, with a 18 kg 1.5 MTR glider
Thanx for the video Josh. You are a great sport!
Thanks!
Love my xplanes . Great vid
I'd love to get an XPlane someday just to have the pair.

So fast, the frame rate can't keep up with them! Nice!
Those are amazing, I have also wanted one for some time.
You definitely need one. It's an awesome plane!

@@joshuawfinn Thanks! I'll try it out
Sadly Yuri is no longer with us. What do you recommend that would be close to that performance? Great flying & Video BTW. Sub'd and T-Up!

Hi
How is your experience with the XCross 160? Does it hold up ?
Still running it, and it's working great!
@@joshuawfinn
Whats the max amps and voltage ? I guess the 3115 maxes out at about 60 ?

Just ds the treeline on a windy day....... When you hit the top of the Trees by accident it simply chops off a few branches Ask me how I know......
I tried that a handful of times with DLGs. I got tired of repairing them. I'm better at 3-D than I am DS, and I STINK at 3-D.
Will it ds?
Not in my hands! But yes, with ballasted wingtips they DS around 200 mph in optimal conditions.

2100 dollars is a bit much don't you think?
If you want to go 250+ mph, that's what it costs. That said, I have less than half that in mine.
Nice
There is nothing to see, like watching a mosquito fly around from a hundred yards away. Piss poor video.
