I recently repaired a Technika (UMC) set by purchasing a pre-programmed for the model NAND chip off Ebay.

Bit late now but you couod swap the eeproms over from the new board to the faulty one a see if it works. Then read the working eeprom and reprogram the faulty EEPROM. Probably not an initially cheap, excer ose but you could end up with working spare boards

Another nice fix well done. Sometimes the major Engineers can't see the wood for the trees and give the wrong advice. Like you say, the panel numbers must match.

Hi Allen it’s got UMC Poland on the label, the sharp tvs are awkward as some of the units use infa-red remotes and some are RF remotes, I do the same as you as long is the screen is the same you will be fine, that’s a RF Remote

The thing that bothers me about new TV screens, no matter how expensive they are, is that the sound is incredibly bad. Yes, just buy a soundbar. The problem with that is that MANY screens sit so low that the soundbar will cover the bottom part of the screen. On the LG OLED, the foot sticks out so it is in the way. It is not possible to have a sound bar in front of the screen!
Are TV factories idiots and don't understand anything?

Foxconn bought a majority stake in UMC back in 2016, no doubt mainboard design/manufacture is done in China. UMC just screws all the imported parts together in Poland. Hands-on experience is all sluggish, buggy junk, even when new. At least if they use common LG screens those could be used to fix faulty/cracked Vestel's.

Hi, how easy is it to change Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL) on a 52 inch lcd screen?
And how easy and safe is it to send such things by post?
    Samsung LE52B620
    Is 45 inches the limit?
Do you have to use special suction cups to lift up the LCD panel itself?

Did you try to read the flash chips firmware from the bought working one and copy/write it to the faulty one? I think its the 8 leg chip in the middle.
