Question, how often are you in a spot where you are dropping a coil vs not dropping any coils? I know you have to be close to not drop a coil but if you are too close and drop a coil you have to much slack.
It all depends on the run. If you drop a coil and have too much slack then you need to control your horse and let the steer ease that slack out before you start your move left. That way you do not jerk the steer on the turn. If that makes sense?
i feel like as a roper you have to enter more than once to put yourself in a spot to win more but that’s just my opinion. also, i have used the cure on the head side and i’d have to say it doesn’t feel the best to me right away, i feel like the more runs you put on it the better it feels.
That helix looked nice. I like how you put the round number at the bottom it would be great if you could continue to do that. Just an idea. GREAT ROPING!!👍
I used the cure on the heel side And it’s way too soft to be a heel rope I used all the fastback ropes And they’re just way too soft for me way too flimsy And that’s why I switched back to classic ropes that’s just my opinion
Looked good. Horse rates well, your progession is coming along nicely.
Thank you!
Do you have a video on tips on buying first team roping horse??
I’ll sure try

I was there
Great vid! Can you do one on proper stirrup length? I heard both shorter & longer is better, totally confused thx u
Honestly it’s totally up to you. Most of it is trial and error. I like to have mine where I can stand up and just barely be off the saddle.
Where was the roping at?

Which classic rope?
@@BarrettHouser On the head side are use the money maker extra soft and on the hillside I use the NV4 Hard medium
@@BarrettHouser Hey do you got Instagram
Yup! Just my name
Why don’t you enter more than once?
I do sometimes
Your run with the cure rope you missed because of your position on that steer you were to high on that steer had nothing to do with the rope
