Just bought this camcorder and will soon be using it on my golfing UA-cam channel. Can’t wait to see how it improves what we do. Still a lot to learn about settings etc found your videos excellent for advice. Thank you so much.
Thanks for this video - I was looking for a 4K 60FPS camera at a price I can afford, and this video plus others helped me decide on the HC-X1500 (I don't need the handle or the additional functionality for the 2000. Just waiting for it to arrive now 😊
Thanks for this video - I have two Panasonic cameras - HPX 170 (2009) and HC-X2 (2023)...I am looking answer for 2 questions: Question 1. There is a option in HPX170 and it calls MARK CLIP - this function we could set to USER button on body of camera and quickly mark in meta info (OK) in video clip. It was very useful. Do you know where is it in these new cameras? Qustion 2 : Is there any quicker way to change the recording system from 4K to 1080p except the pushing and scrolling throw the camera menu? Is there any way to shourtcut this? THANK YOU
I films Buzzards in the sky with my Sony FDR -AX53 in Auto but find when tracking them in the sky it jumps in and out of focus would the Panasonic HC-X2000 get me better results.
Cool, you're ready to make movies. A director must know all of this before filming, I've heard📽🎬. And to find movie actors too, just to think, I can see a lot of this camera right now. Using this video camera, I'll see how you do it, love the color and the size of it
Hello, I would like you to clarify some doubts ... This has been written by a user ... --- I wouldn't recommend buying this camera. To cut a long review short, using the camera in 4K 60p, the sharpness of the video itself is very poor. Clips look more like the old 720p HD clips rather than 4K. And all this for £ 1,500? I returned it with great relief. The smoothness of the videos are excellent, and panning doesn’t create any jitters or lags which is great - but ultimately, there’s no point having these great features if the overall picture quality is so poor. I've reverted back to my 6-year-old other Panasonic, where the quality is far superior to this one here, and I'll be looking at other cameras for its replacement. Do you think this person has a computer problem to edit, video editor, memory card, ... etc ... The same thing happened to him ... ??? Before buying this cane I will be informed. Thanks.
so what did u get instead? just curious. I bought it yesterday and Im not impressed. although I don't have a 4k tv to view it on but... everyone else is crazy about the possibilities of this cam. also keep in mind UA-cam reduces the movie quality so you can't judge the quality by viewing it on UA-cam.
Thanks for taking the time to share all this information - a couple of questions if I may... 1) On several shots there's a jittering visible. At first I thought it was an AF issue or down to shots on the longer end of the lens but I did spot them at the wider end too eg. when you demonstrate the zoom range towards the end of your video. Do you know what causes this please? Perhaps it's a UA-cam compression thing? 2) Have you tried this with an external recorder at all, if so what improvements did this give? Thanks!
hey! Do you notice a low back background noise (noisy preamp) when you plug in your mic into the 3.5 socket? It sounds more like cars on a highway from a distance. Even if just the cable is plugged into the socket (without the mic), i can hear this noise. Do you have the same problem?
Excelent video. Very informative. The most noticable weakness of the image quality is the way it blows highlights. Does this thing have a low-contrast picture profile or log mode? The DRS helps but the highlight roll-off is still very harsh. Having said that, it still looks like great image quality all round for the functionality and price. With such a small sensor and high frame rate, I'm amazed that it copes with low light to the extent that it did in your demo. Must have some serious noise reduction algorithms going in-camera. I really like this combination of features at the price. It's a very nice unit.
Such a shame that Face Tracking is available only in full auto mode. It should be ready tu use in maunal mode as well because auto focus in this camera is dramatic. I mean it works well but too sensitive and if you shoot a person or two and you point between them it is almost impossible to get focused sharp image of foreground. Maybe there’s a chance that it will be fixed with some future firmaare update? And what would you tell about 4:2:2 mode? For me I just cannot see difference in image quality beside file size and worse panning. Am I the only one who have problems loke this?
I am falling in love with this camcorder, I want to purchase it to make wildlife documentaries. Do you know if this camera is compatible with the gimbal Ziyun webill s? Thanks
What is the highest resolution recording mode of this camera? I need to record a dance choreography indoors but we will have good light. Which recording mode do you recommend? I would like the image to be nice and sharp.
Do you know if the HCX2000 will output through the SDI and HDMI at the same time? I was using it in a live broadcast (SDI) feed to an encoder, and would like to attach a bigger monitor (HDMI) as my eyes are starting to go.
I think it can see and just doesn't have build in IR light as other UA-camr said it, but I find it weird to not have it build in, do you ever use IR night vision? By the way, how's the 3.5mm port, is it noisy or very good quality? If I attach Sennheiser MKE 440 to record stereo sound, how do I record my be hind the camera commentary voice at same time, can the internal mic be recording at same time? Is it good solution to attach a Deity HD-TX recorder with a shotgun or pencil condenser mic facing backward to record my voice? Or use an 2 to 1 audio jack but they all will be mixed into 2 channel tracks right?
It's an Ok video. But it isn't as informative, nor is it as well made as your other video reviews about this product. And, your choice of music background is awful. Normally I don't mind a bit of music, but the music track dubbed into this video assaults the ears and is not pleasant to listen to. Mr. Johnston, I have enjoyed viewing and watching some of your other videos, but not this one for the reasons mentioned. I appreciated the other videos because of your no-nonsense approach. You got straight to the point and did a reasonable job explaining and then demonstrating the features you outlined about the Panasonic HCX2000 camcorder unit. Although you have a heavy brogue and accent, that isn't so much of a problem. I was able to back up and watch the video portion that I did not understand clearly. By turning up the volume on my headphones I eventually overcame the accent and pronunciation of some of your words. What you said always seemed to make perfect sense. It seems that you left out the commentary you made and just allowed the video to play with very little commentary to highlight the features you wanted to cover with this video. Although the textual titles do explain a little bit, the onscreen title isn't there long enough and drops out without any further explanation. I'm trying to find and learn about the pros and cons for the Panasonic HCX2000 camcorder, but I did not find that here.
Music is very subjective especially music for technical equipment like a camcorder. I have to abide by the copyright rules and use non copyright music for You Tube. Unlike a lot of music on You Tube my levels peek the same as my voice levels. Im steering away from reviews and going more for overviews. Thanks for your constructive criticism.
I've watched your videos and coverage for many years now. Thank you for all the hard work you put in!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this camera for golf footage and see some samples!
Brilliant! The Bee's Knees! Awesomesauce! Outasight! Bravo! Thanks for the entertaining and informative review.

This is done very well. Nice footage as well.
Thanks so much for this video
In all the shots the image is clear only in the center of it. I watched every corner in contrast with the middle of the screen.
How to adjust the light on the lcd camera ? I just bought same camera but the screen is very dark and I don't know how to adjust it.
how mucho danaros costa?
Hi there. First of all, I ilke the channel name - HD Warior! Second - very well chosen music and video filming taste. Keep on!

Thanks for a very informative video! May I ask what song is playing at 4:18?

Sagen Sie mir, die Kamera verfügt nicht über die erforderliche Sprache. Wo und wie kann ich sie installieren? Vielen Dank im Voraus
Sorry, the question should be, Are images taken with the Panasonic HC-X2000 as good as the iPhone 14 Pro Max?

I am Panasonic x2 user pls send the setting
Great! super review! one question: is the quality lower at 4k50p compared to a GH5?
What's the awesome music?
Can you use a Lance controller with zoom, focus & iris adjustments? The older Pants had 2 inputs for this... Thanks! Love your reviews!
As far as I am aware the new Lanc will control zoom, focus & iris.
do you know which Lanc controller does all three
I am falling in love with this camcorder, I want to purchase it to make wildlife documentaries. Do you know if this camera is compatible with the gimbal Ziyun webill s? Thanks
Sorry I have no idea
Are the images taken with the Panasonic HC-X2000 as good as images taken with the Panasonic HC-X2000 4K Professional Camcorder ?
What did you say???
Regardless what they make model, for some reason, image always dark brown indoor footage on Panasonic camcorder. Not bright as Sony.
What is the highest resolution recording mode of this camera? I need to record a dance choreography indoors but we will have good light. Which recording mode do you recommend? I would like the image to be nice and sharp.
Brilliant thank you :)

On the Panasonic HCX2000 (Only) Simultaneous SDI/HDMI output is now supported.
Does X1500 has IR light night vision capability?
No

is that possible to making live on zoom meeting thanks
