I really like where the archery industry is going with these super good shooting Amazon trad bows and over the last handful of yrs the top quality budget compounds!!! Big name flagship bows now will run a person $2000-3500 setup. That is so ridiculous to me at least. Bless you if you have that kinda extra income but a bow like you have for $600-750 setup with arrows will kill you anything in NA that walks so you don’t need the top end if you don’t have the extra $$$.
i love shooting my traditional bow but hunt whitetail with a compound. i dont shoot a with a peep, just either a nose button or kisser and wanted to add a tip in case it can help somebody. i converted a 5 pin sight to a one pin sight by removing three pins. i left one additional pin to use as a ranging pin. if the belly to back is inside of the two pins the deer is either outside of my range for acceptable drop or too small for me to wanna shoot, if the whitetails body is outside of the distance of my two pins, i know its inside of my shooting range, then i just drop to my top pin and let it fly. im definitely better now than i was a few years ago at judging distance but the pins help me reinforce my choice quickly while calming the nerves to deliver a confident shot.
I put the cat whiskers on my compounds too!! I just picked up a Bear Whitetail Legend Pro for a steal!! New string and cables and specs are on the money!
A few years ago i bought a mission. Came with everything except the arrows. I still shoot fingers. Due to work and family obligations i couldn't in good faith Hunt with my recurves because i didn't have the time I used to to shoot. But that mission is a tack driver.
Nice shooting! I checked out the broadhead you mentioned and watched the Lusk video on it. Very impressive! I love traditional archery and have about 15 trad bows and two compound bows. I had target panic bad a for a few years so I went to the compound because I couldn't short draw it! I still enjoy it and will probably hunt some with it even though I'm pretty committed to my longbow this coming season. You mentioned the 6.5 arrows but didn't mention spine unless I missed it. What spine works out of your bow. I saw your response of 65 # draw. What draw length? I have a 27" draw with trad. and a 28" draw with compound bows.
Jeff, I just bought a bear adapt myself but I shoot instinctive both with compound and trad. It would be awesome to see you set that bow up shooting fingers and no sight and do a video. I'm having a very difficult time getting mine to shoot that way. I have tried different spine arrow and different rest but still struggling getting it to shoot bare shaft consistently. Any suggestions ? Thanks
I just bought a less than 2 year old mathews mission Hammr for like 250.00 CND in perfect condition i don't think the guy even shot it had a site on it but no rest and no sign of use so iam not complaining other than rtrying to get my wisker bicsut to work right for me so more setup testing this morning cross my fingers i have it set to 48lbs and running 400 spine 400 grain easton powerflights..
Could you do one on the oneida phoenix please i just got one bought the boondox rest shooting off shelf just like recurve i shoot bare fingers no glove tab or nothing and my fingers dont hurt at all! Shooting pure instinctive split finger no sights.
It’s hurts to constantly hear about the sanlida bows knowing they don’t come in left handed versions. Will they ever? And will the Hermit X10 limbs ever be in stock again?
@@rindholt yes sir and from what I understand they will have separate limbs available in both short, medium and longs but no immediate plans for left hand risers for the Hermit 10.

@@DixieBowhunter-m5g I would say a Magnus Stinger Buzzcut two blade 150 grain! They are awesome for light bows and crazy sharp with replaceable blades 👍🏻
