Love this machine…unfortunately mine got infested with flour beetles :( I found them in almost every nook and cranny including at the base of the machine. Any tips how to get rid of them and clean the inside of the machine? Thanks!
So I got komomio and instead of milling fine flour it bakes to the stones. Have to go all the way to coarse side to be able to get any flour. 100gr grain 5min- not finest flour. What is wrong? The stones get well over 50 degrees
The grain mills must not be used to process moist or oil-containing ground material. (This is stated in the operating instructions and can also be read on our homepage - komo.bio/mahlgutuebersicht/ ). This leads to the grinding stones sticking together and thus losing their grinding efficiency. If the contamination is not too strong, you can try to grind a handful of long grain rice on the coarsest level and then clean the stones with a brush.
@@komobio the grains were supplied with the mill. I checked them manually how dry they were- they did crack with the spoon test and biting too. Yet the grinding isn’t going well on the fine setting. Unless you mean wheat grain should be ground at only middle scale? The stones cleaned well with rice. But even rice jams the mill at the finer setting. I can’t understand why.
My komomio can't grind any grains into fine flour.I have to make it coarse, then slowly (like pouring oil when doing mayo) I add the grits on the not the finest setting.Even then I can hear it struggling, and I could smell the burning.I have to stop right away. Now it got stuck while doing rice flour and trying to figure out how the clean it.I know it was the cheapest version, but still over 300$ with tax.
@@ely42609 get rid of it. I got waldner silent and had not a single issue in many months. Bake finest buns even croissants with the flour that comes out of it.

Does the KoMo XL get the grain much hotter than the the Komo classics the motor is twice as strong?
