Absolute banger, and also a great nod to early fan speculation that The Prototype mentioned in the Final Log tape in Chapter 1 was Huggy Wuggy (instead of a separate entity) due to him being the one to presumably kill the professor character due to the similar screeches.
I love how the characters’ reaction to the video of the Hour of Joy wasn’t his usual wise cracking self or a joke, but genuine horror at the revelation of what happened to this place. The paycheck line, a running JOKE, turned into a way to process the reality of the situation. He loses his salty attitude and gets serious. Something horrible happened here, and the one responsible must die. No jokes, no hesitation, only purpose. Amazing.
There's probably some realization that the only reason the character is alive is because he simply wasn't at work that day. He avoided a gruesome and horrifying death purely by chance. The thought would douse anyone's sense of humor

Man I really like how the guy was caring about nothing but just getting his paycheck in the first two chapters, but on this one he just then starts getting concerned and wondering what happened to the factory and once he saw “the hour of joy” that’s when he got a lot more serious and decided to help poppy kill the prototype once and for all, now that’s what I call character development, excellent video dude, you never fail to entertain us with you videos
You know what I find satisfying, when characters like him that are meant to be and not take the story seriously, see something in the story that is so dark, horrid, that they see the severity of the situation. Its not that I don't like characters like him, I mean that's their point to not take this stuff seriously, it just sets off a little tick that's just satisfying to feel.
Agreed. It's basically when the goofy or cocky characters just go silent and process everything-and the next thing you know, it's time to get serious. That's when you know things are gonna be real
Holy FU- THat was AWESOME- I started watching this when it came out, then I got bored, then I decided to finish it. I'm 100% glad I did. I love how he got at the end after seeing the hour of joy tape. Let's win this thing.
I love how this has tons of comedic moments, but that you still gave viewing the Hour of Joy's tape the weight it deserved. The shock, the lack of words at seeing everyone this character knew and probably called friends be slaughtered by the toys... the realization that he now plays a game infinitely more dangerous than simply retrieving his last paycheck. It was amazingly written!
"I'm going to be Star Warsed!" had me chuckling "Thanks helpful voice." "Oh it worked, half expected it to blow up in my face." I'm trying not to laugh out loud. So hard
I love how he tried to get catnap to NOT give in and praise the prototype and try to join him, kissy and poppy- too bad catnap or- Theodore didn't listen
If Elliot Ludwig wrote this comment: I love how he tried to get that thing to join him, that pink huggy and the poppy one- meh, Catnap, or.. *off camera* What's his real name again? ... Ah, right! *Back on camera* Catnap or Theodore, they're much too ignorant to stay in my factory.
Gotta say, that shift of attitude towards the end really drives home of how extremely gruesome the hour of joy was, not just because of the deaths of the employees, but also innocents. Scientists, parents, adults, children, it didn’t matter. It was all just pointless slaughter. Even the protagonist realizes this, no longer giving a crap about the paycheck. Well done, good sir.
okay about the comment i deleted, i just recognize that the paycheck mention was meant in the story as a sort-of attempt at humor that didn't really work.
I love the last parts of it even though it's even more sad since kissy has a voice actor and the way both of them yell for kissy's name at the same time but all of that was amazing
Man, I can’t wait for Chapter 4 to come out! The voice acting is always spot on, and I absolutely love what you say! I really hope that I can see the 4th chapter with the Protagonist talking! Keep up the great work!
Omg I love this, I love how at the end you can hear kissy saying “get away! You can have them!” Like she’s actually worried in a not so silent voice. And then poppy and the player both scream “kissy!” As if they both actually care about her. And after the prototype says “I’ll be waiting.” He says it sounds like the player because the prototype mimics other’s voices.
0:09 I just realized the DogDay was in the same position we found him in when he was getting tortured, ntm that his legs are hidden as well, he’s also the only one on the couch with Catnap
Istg Danny needs his own lore. Bro has been the main victim of at least three major and should-be-fatal workplace accidents, meaning that either he has INCREDIBLE personal healthcare, or he is one of (so far) 3 identical triplets, each having been named exactly the same name, though potentially with different spellings. In any case, I'd absolutely love some sort of backstory as to how these accidents actually came about- like, context and stuff (bc we already kinda have an explanation for the beheading and crushing incidents)
It's amazing how sucked into the story of Poppy's Playtime I've become. Granted I'm too chicken to play horror games, so delving into this nightmare experience with a friendly voice for company makes it a little easier to endure. I am genuinely eager to see how this all ends.
Just like me. I wasn’t introduced to the horror genre in the most friendly environment, so I can’t really go too far in such games. I am, however, interested in the story behind such games, as it fascinates me to figure out what comes next.
Similar story, but I am a horror fan. I didn't particularly care about the series at first, but then as the chapters went on, I started liking it more and more. By the time the newest chapter came out, I was hooked. Cannot wait for the rest of the story!
Honestly, while the comedy in this video is great, I think the standout moment is "The Hour of Joy", where all the comedy is dropped for a moment and you can FEEL the shock and horror in your voice as you realize just what's at stake.
3:28 I can’t be the only one to think that Ms. Harper’s voice and Miss Delights voices sound the same. Maybe playcare turned Ms. Harper into Miss Delight and copied her into several other ones
The intonation during the Hour of Joy tape is stellar. You can hear (and kinda feel, or is that just me?) the worry, concern, and seriousness in his tone. He immediately drops the thought of a paycheck, focusing more on Poppy’s need to kill the Prototype. I’ve watched this entire video about five times now, and the effect stays the same for me. Also the fact that he slaps the Huggy pillow across the face is hilarious. PSTL, good work, and keep it up!
@@asherrudick3912 I think a lot of people do, I just don’t think people care to express it via comments. Even then, the emotions conveyed are *peak.* He does a stellar job!
I appreciate that you didn't give Catnap a voice beyond what he already has in the game. It's already perfect where he does talk, and I like that the game developers didn't have him speak beyond those moments - it made him all the more terrifying as a result. As for the Prototype thing, that was very clever on your part. At first, I was wondering why he spoke at all, until I remembered that when you do hear him talk, it's through the mimicking of other voices - well played, sir. And very fitting for him to use the voice of the one attempting to kill him, perhaps out of mockery.
“Did I do it..? Did I get my paycheck..?” The paychecks at Fazbear Entertainment is very low so I highly recommend that you do not get your paycheck. If you get hurt then Fazbear entertainment will take off $10 off your paycheck which will result into you having $0.10 cents.
I like how the ex-employee still tried to talk CatNap out of sacrificing himself to the Prototype, even after everything. That’s more than he did for Huggy or Mommy. Actually, real character growth for the ex-employee in general. After he realized what was going on in the factory and that he’ll never get his paycheck, he stuck with Poppy and Kissy to see the job through. Thank you for this amazing video so soon after Chapter 3’s release, and enjoy your much-deserved break. Also, until Mob Entertainment gives the ex-employee an official name, or you give him a name in the series, I’m calling him Andy Case, a very weak-ass play on the phrase “in any case”, because your Garten of Banban videos had him related to Justin Case.
I love how this has the right amount of lore the right amount of jokes and the perfect character who will understand the situation when’s it’s happening and will help and start caring about the people he’s working together with like … kissy and later he found out how the toys were being made but he didn’t want to think it was true he found to sickening
I honestly can see why the protagonist just stopped making jokes and being severely annoyed at the end. Dude witnessed something genuinely horrifying. At that point there’s virtually no room to make jokes. Really makes him feel like he’s losing it but still trying too hold on.
Man, I loved this. the reaction to the nightmare, awesome. reaction to Miss Delight and dogday, wicked. noting the ridiculous puzzles that needed solving, accurate. my favorite part was his reaction to the hour of joy. he finally realized no paycheck was coming and the seriousness of the situation hit him. you did good, while goofy it felt like it would fit.
PSTL POPPY PLAYTIME THEORY: Playtime co. found Danny *SO* valuable that every time he died, they would use some unknown way to revive him. (Explains the reaction after the sentence "We would have killed ourselfs 8 times over")
I just got recommended this and the Hour of Joy scene was horrifyingly beautiful. His horrified voice as the weight of everything that happened sunk in like that. Heck just making him back up a few steps was really a nice touch. The vice acting here is phenomenal!
Holy crap. This is honestly insane. I know that a good portion of these are meant to be funny, with little quips and returning jokes. But... Gracious above. The _horror_ in the delivery of some of these lines. I really believe that a lot of your videos just add even more to the experience of these horror games. Makes them feel real, somehow. Fantastic work.
9:07: Reminds me of a scene in Star Trek Into Darkness where Scotty enters a hangar where the USS Vengeance was being built and he's about to say "Holy..." and cuts to the next scene.
The characters you give a voice to are usually humorous and sometimes sarcastic, but when it comes to dark moments like the hour of joy you also gave them a serious side once they realize the grim reality of what had occurred. While I do enjoy the humorous personality of the characters you given a voice to, it is also okay to make them less laidback and more serious in scenarios like this from time to time. The lives lost in the hour of joy are like a torn up letter or even a photograph from before the digital age, once they are taken away by an outside force they can _never_ come back
I love the character development, he was so skittish and spooked before and now the MC’s just used to to, ready to face the dangers by the end. Wonder what the next chapter will be like
Danny seems to die a lot, despite having already died once. That guy's either a real trooper or a crazy masochist for coming back to Playtime after each revival.
One of my favorite things about this is lore tidbits. More than simply giving voice to how a player might feel or being meta, the thought process is genuinely "If the player talked, this would happen." If Player talked, then 1006 would respond in the Players voice because 1006 mimics. A person haunted by guilt as the memories show would likely be firmly more in Poppy's corner once seeing what happened with the Hour of Joy. It's cerebral comedy and valentine all in one.
poor Danny i feel bad for the guy... like the time he got his head ripped off.... or the time he got crushed by a door... and the time he fell into a pit of spikes...
If you think about it, its like batim, because when boris got kidnaped by alice angle, the prototype kidnaped kissy missy. That must mean that we are forced to fight kissy missy in chapter four.
so basically what has happened to him at the same time is that his head got pulled off, his dead body fell beneath a door that was powered by the green hand stuff, and the door fell so hard it broke his dead body and the floor and his cut in half body fell into spikes. That were under that door for whatever the hell reason

@@ag-13studios51 it shows the talent of the writer that last bit after the video had no jokes they knew when to drop the humor and to get serious
Holy FU- THat was AWESOME- I started watching this when it came out, then I got bored, then I decided to finish it. I'm 100% glad I did. I love how he got at the end after seeing the hour of joy tape.
Let's win this thing.
I will admit, the ending, hearing you both yell out, chills.
Same I got lots of chills at the end
I could feel my face actually go pale at that part and it still does
I love how this has tons of comedic moments, but that you still gave viewing the Hour of Joy's tape the weight it deserved. The shock, the lack of words at seeing everyone this character knew and probably called friends be slaughtered by the toys... the realization that he now plays a game infinitely more dangerous than simply retrieving his last paycheck.
It was amazingly written!
"I'm going to be Star Warsed!" had me chuckling
"Thanks helpful voice." "Oh it worked, half expected it to blow up in my face." I'm trying not to laugh out loud. So hard
I love how he tried to get catnap to NOT give in and praise the prototype and try to join him, kissy and poppy- too bad catnap or- Theodore didn't listen
He maybe a wisecracking jerk but child abuse is a line he wasn't going to cross.
If Elliot Ludwig wrote this comment:
I love how he tried to get that thing to join him, that pink huggy and the poppy one- meh, Catnap, or.. *off camera* What's his real name again? ... Ah, right! *Back on camera* Catnap or Theodore, they're much too ignorant to stay in my factory.
Yeah, but imagine if he called catnap by his old name Theo
Oh my god, his tone while watching the hour of joy was amazing. I actually felt he very serious right there.
This whole episode felt a lot more serious fitting the tone of the chapter
He now knows he's never getting his 50. So, he's going for the next best thing, revenge.
I love how huggys voice will never change to his canon one 😂 I think it makes since for the smaller ones in chapter 2 but still
Gotta say, that shift of attitude towards the end really drives home of how extremely gruesome the hour of joy was, not just because of the deaths of the employees, but also innocents. Scientists, parents, adults, children, it didn’t matter. It was all just pointless slaughter. Even the protagonist realizes this, no longer giving a crap about the paycheck. Well done, good sir.
Yeah, between the poisonous gas, secret experiments, and building full of corpses, this is starting to feel really familiar and very messed up...

LOL maybe Danny is immortal like Kenny 😆

Every time there’s a tutorial or grab pack session: The Protagonist: “Poor Danny…”

Did I get my paycheck..?”
The paychecks at Fazbear Entertainment is very low so I highly recommend that you do not get your paycheck.
Which episode has Andy Case relate to Justin?
@@AncientBeast65 Garten of Banban 4. It’s literally one line.

I like how since the Poppy Protagonist and the Banban protagonist are the same in this AU he thinks every monster can be treated with love
The amount of sass and attitude he gave the player is extremely realistic tbh.
