- Do you guys and gals remember this place? Probably hard to forget at this point. I've fished it a decent amount, always wreck em, and usually squeal like a little school girl. Hard to forget. When Boobert and I pulled up, and saw the water was basically gone.. I got sad. When Booberto and I went down and all the fish were still there.. I got happy. PAAA POWWW!!!

Been doin alot of top water fishing with cheap walmart popper, smoking the shit out of striped bass,large and small mouth and because of you,wipers.Your correct,they are the angriest fish in North America..And they quickly became my favorite fish to catch, surpassing flatties..My biggest wiper so far is about 8 lbs.It faught like a mix between 2 fish,a flattie and a largemouth...One of the most fun fishing moment s,ever!!!!

Where I'm from those smallies are huge. However I have caught some pretty big ones in the Shanendoah River in Northern Virginia. That place is smally heaven, lol.
Stretches of water like that hold a lot more fish than any fisherman would think.
One summer 3 yrs ago went around to my fav spots with a snorkel and face mask.
I was shocked to find out the amount of fish that these types of spots hold...Of course,I was only able to do this in shallow creeks,up to about 6 feet deep...
Man,that was so fun.I literally know where all the major snags are,drop off ledges and spots where they seem to prefer..

I try using braid, but I have an issue. After a few casts it seems to be loose and the outer line gets under the other line and won't cast. It is like it gets tangled. What's my issue?

Just bought the exact powder colored 75 whopper plopper today after work, 4 larges and a massive musky that that said not today....best plopper to date. You guys are awesome and hope you are having a blast out there. B)
Bone colored (yellow) size 110 plopper has been the best for me in Lincoln NE. And I usually run about 3 feet parallel to the rocks. Creates an echo in the water.
