@@Shank039 Yeah I don’t buy it either. Even back in the WoT Blitz beta me and some friends, who had also just gotten into Wargaming stuff, heard about the medal on UA-cam. (At the time we didn’t know the medals wouldn’t transfer to out accounts upon full release, yes I know we’re kinda dumb) T82s and T40s hadn’t had their Howitzers nerfed yet, so we used those to “farm” Fadin’s medals. Because Blitz only allows for 2-man platoons we had to take turns, and I usually drew the short straw. The maximum any one of us got was three, and that’s over a few hundred “rigged” games, while I got just the one lol Did manage to get one or two after full release though, so that was nice The_Masked_One (EU)

Actually there's an easier way. Check their post battle stats and there will be an eyeball next to their name at the top. Hover over the eyeball and it will show their actual name
You dont have to message them to get the real name, just rightclick the anonymized name in the battle results, select to see the player profile and the game will show you the real player name.
I played like 3 games in wot , I play too much WOWS , but I enjoy Jingles wot videos , now I am on look out for some wows bots , imagine that having cover of 6 shimakze , Juro torpedo beat would not work on that ... well I guess there would be a loot of pink bots ... but that is sacrifice I am ready to make.

Actually Jingles the sideskirts on the turret of the Pz. IV/V were not for shaped charged, HEAT munitions, but for anti-tank rifle protection. The russian 14,5mm anti-tank rifle was a serious concern to the german panzer corp and the side skirts were developed as a counter for these weapons. It is a very interesting factoid.

Several years ago I earned a Raider Medal in my Bishop (Yes, the tier 5 British SPG). We were on Lakeville since all of of the remaining tanks were in the town, I moved down the valley and started capping. My clanmate stayed close by to prevent the enemy from getting to me and I was able to cap out.

My dad who had a very terrible 39% win ratio managed to get a raider medal, certainly something that I never ever got, good for him, he seemed pretty chuffed :)
Many of these rare medals don't require much skill but a ton of luck. Which is why they make for intresting videos/stories but don't tell you how good someone is.
I'm an average 48% player and have two Raider medals...I didn't know they were rare. Got one of them in a Nashorn and the other in a Lorraine 155 50 French arty. Nice that your dad was able to get one.

Hey Jingles, I do believe you featured a raider medal in replay in one of your really old Why You Heff to be Mad videos. They did it in a IS-3. You had to take it down for copyright reasons. But this doesn't change the fact it is a super rare medal. Excellent video again.

This is for everyone wondering what these bot Excelsiors were. In the last patch to cope with not having enough players at low tiers during slow times, WarGaming have employed their own bots. They are the same bots you fought during all the PvE events WG has had over the past years.
The first game is almost a mirror image of a game from the RU server you or another WoT tuber showcased years ago. In a whole 15vs15 game on Northwest, there were only two real players, one per side. Every other tank was a bot. And you knew they were all bots because they only started moving when the player whos PoV we were watching came back from being afk and started moving.
When you see an Excelsior or a Churchill III, look at the name. If it starts with a small letter, an 'e' for example, it's probably bot. If not, then you are probably dealing with a player. This is the rule of thumb I always use, and it seems to be pretty accurate.
FINALLY it's back. Better late than never Jingles. Looking forward to the next installment of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. :) I actually have 2 Raider medals. I only remember how I got one of them, because on that map it just shouldn't happen, and not how I did it, and this was about 5 years ago. On Karelia in my AT2, I drove straight down the middle at the start of the game to the other cap & capped out. Now you shouldn't be able to do that on Karelia, and not in a slow tank like the AT2! But I did. lol. Keep the great videos coming Jingles.
Actually Jingles, You featured an AT-2 game a few years back, where the guy drove on the middle of the map of redshire (i think) and he was the only one making it to the enemy base, and managed to cap it out
I got a raider medal years ago in the Duck; AMX 40, on El Halluf. Drove pretty much straight down the middle while everyone else went flanks. I don't even think I got to fire a shot but I capped and was surprised with the Raider medal.
On the NA server with the anonymizer after battle, you can click on their name and when it shows their post battle results i.e. shots fired, shots hit, shots penetrated and etcetera, it will show in the bottom part of their anonymized name their real name which you can click and find their results.
Managed to get the Raiders medal in a T28 Proto years ago. Was on Pearl River in its first iteration, so there was lots of trees and the enemy lemminged north while I went south.
Hello Jingles! I have to tell you about this. I have a raider medal, just one. I got it in an O-Ho. I drove across the middle of the map, went in the enemy base circle and left the tank, thinking i won't be of any use to the team. Came back to one of the rarest medals in the game.
I've gotten two Raiders in my WoT career. The second was in the UDES 03; the first, which I swore I sent into Jingles ages ago, was on the Stalingrad map, and it was in the KV-2....
@The Mighty Jingle: Expanding the chat window like that may make it easier on mobile viewers, but it makes it very fuzzy and almost unreadable on a real screen.

How to get around the anonymiser: Message the player it will come up with their username
then go check their stats

Hey Jingles, I do believe you featured a raider medal in replay in one of your really old Why You Heff to be Mad videos. They did it in a IS-3. You had to take it down for copyright reasons. But this doesn't change the fact it is a super rare medal. Excellent video again.

This is for everyone wondering what these bot Excelsiors were. In the last patch to cope with not having enough players at low tiers during slow times, WarGaming have employed their own bots. They are the same bots you fought during all the PvE events WG has had over the past years.

The first game is almost a mirror image of a game from the RU server you or another WoT tuber showcased years ago.
In a whole 15vs15 game on Northwest, there were only two real players, one per side. Every other tank was a bot. And you knew they were all bots because they only started moving when the player whos PoV we were watching came back from being afk and started moving.

When you see an Excelsior or a Churchill III, look at the name. If it starts with a small letter, an 'e' for example, it's probably bot. If not, then you are probably dealing with a player. This is the rule of thumb I always use, and it seems to be pretty accurate.

I actually have 2 Raider medals. I only remember how I got one of them, because on that map it just shouldn't happen, and not how I did it, and this was about 5 years ago. On Karelia in my AT2, I drove straight down the middle at the start of the game to the other cap & capped out. Now you shouldn't be able to do that on Karelia, and not in a slow tank like the AT2! But I did. lol.

Actually Jingles, You featured an AT-2 game a few years back, where the guy drove on the middle of the map of redshire (i think) and he was the only one making it to the enemy base, and managed to cap it out
I got a raider medal years ago in the Duck; AMX 40, on El Halluf. Drove pretty much straight down the middle while everyone else went flanks. I don't even think I got to fire a shot but I capped and was surprised with the Raider medal.
On the NA server with the anonymizer after battle, you can click on their name and when it shows their post battle results i.e. shots fired, shots hit, shots penetrated and etcetera, it will show in the bottom part of their anonymized name their real name which you can click and find their results.
Managed to get the Raiders medal in a T28 Proto years ago. Was on Pearl River in its first iteration, so there was lots of trees and the enemy lemminged north while I went south.
Its finally been long enough that I can rewatch this series and be surprised again lmao

Hello Jingles! I have to tell you about this. I have a raider medal, just one. I got it in an O-Ho. I drove across the middle of the map, went in the enemy base circle and left the tank, thinking i won't be of any use to the team. Came back to one of the rarest medals in the game.
I've gotten two Raiders in my WoT career. The second was in the UDES 03; the first, which I swore I sent into Jingles ages ago, was on the Stalingrad map, and it was in the KV-2....
