@@rogeriopenna9014 The Frisians certainly did, Norse mythology is descended from Germanic mythology and the Frisians are Germanic. The Finns have their own stories, but Norse and Germanic myth trickles in via the Swedish minority in Finland.

I am myself not a fan of either Nightwish or symphonic metal in general but do understand why so many people do like it. I am glad you do these reactions because there is so much great music to discover.

But don't forget that there is nothing that Tatiana can do that Floor can't. Tuomas just not keen on growls. Try listening to Floor with ReVamp for amazing vocals from growl to clean to operatic. @@clivematthews5296 I have appreciation for ReVamp specifically Floor just not crazy about the operatic highs and to many guitars and Nightwish much better.I just think it’s the operatic singing but I’m open minded and I’m don’t listen to extreme harsh vocals only Tatiana mostly due to her clean singing tone the slightest accent and the way she enunciates and lyric writing and stage presence and performance.But I will give Nightwish more attention I’ve only seen maybe 3 or 4 different songs from reactions

Hi Inna, now you have been introduced to Nightwish, I look forward to seeing your reactions to many other NW songs. Just one thing, you seem to be only wearing one earpiece, and are therefore missing half of the soundscape from this incredible band. As you stop the video in order to comment, you would be able to hear yourself even with both earpieces (pods?) in situ, have you tried using a full set ?

Glad you decided to react to this band ,This is with their 3rd singer Floor Jansen,a 6’1” Dutch vocal beast..They’re definitely a band that are better live,their studio stuff is good but it’s their live performances where they shine…they go from operatic though to rock,folk,Celtic and on to thrash and everything in between,hope you decide to dip your toe into some more..if you do then definitely use Gabriel’s list(he’ll be along soon)as it has the best quality videos performance and audio wise.👍

Wacken 2013 starring Nightwish and co-starring the 80,000 is..wow!! The energy this band always creates with their crowd connection is incredible!! Sensory overload….NW style!! Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Welcome. To add a little context, this performance was #13 of 15 on the set list. Gabriel is the go to individual for all things Nightwish, so he's a great resource to draw from. Me personally am mostly into Floor's solo projects, though were I to suggest a follow up performance, from the same concert it would be Ever Dream. Should you seek out material of Floor's solo projects, while there are music videos to draw from, you'd be best serve to by pass the music videos with live performances which are way more organic in nature. Changing the subject for a moment, I'd like to make mention a young Italian vocalist, Giulia Falcone who like Floor has amazing control of her instrument. She's also currently a contestant on the Voice, France. If you are unfamiliar with her, she has a channel and I very much enjoy fee version of SOS. Not only is Nightwish incredible for their music, they are also really down to earth people! Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know all of them. I did however got a chance to work with Floor Jansen (lead singer, but you know that by now I guess..) for one of her solo performances. The Dutch aren't exactly known to be that friendly necessarily. Floor however is a wonderful woman. If you met her on a normal day, just out in the woods with her animals for example, you'd have a hard time realizing what an absolute goddess she is on stage! And to think she was battling breast cancer not long ago, and just announces she's pregnant with her second child! I did see the band live once, a few years ago, and they are every bit as perfect as the music video's make you believe they are.

Among symphonic metal bands Nightwish is the most accessible. Start with them then move on to heavier bands in symphonic metal. It all started with the most extreme metal bands, Celtic Frost from Switzerland (difficult to hear due to the harshness of the style) and Therion from Sweden (classic metal with opera). Nightwish started power with folk influences and gothic ballads.
Now that you've experienced the most reacted to video, it's time to see some more of Nightwish. How about "The Poet and the Pendulum" for an emotional roller coaster? Song of Myself, Shudder before the Beautiful, Storytime, and Bless the Child are also among my favorites.

Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Plus, huge vocal nerd 😉. Floor Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon (Second singer of Nightwish after Tarja) as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour (And she had to learn the setlist in 48h). On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. And the master of this magic is: Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish) Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. He also composes the music for the backing track they use. It is recorded in London with musicians from The London Philharmonics. Pip Williams helps with the orchestration. There are two London based choirs too on the backing track, the other one is a children's choir. And of course with a synth you can do a lot. Glad you decided to react to this band ,This is with their 3rd singer Floor Jansen,a 6’1” Dutch vocal beast..They’re definitely a band that are better live,their studio stuff is good but it’s their live performances where they shine…they go from operatic though to rock,folk,Celtic and on to thrash and everything in between,hope you decide to dip your toe into some more..if you do then definitely use Gabriel’s list(he’ll be along soon)as it has the best quality videos performance and audio wise.👍

Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Welcome. To add a little context, this performance was #13 of 15 on the set list. Gabriel is the go to individual for all things Nightwish, so he's a great resource to draw from. Me personally am mostly into Floor's solo projects, though were I to suggest a follow up performance, from the same concert it would be Ever Dream. Should you seek out material of Floor's solo projects, while there are music videos to draw from, you'd be best serve to by pass the music videos with live performances which are way more organic in nature.
Changing the subject for a moment, I'd like to make mention a young Italian vocalist, Giulia Falcone who like Floor has amazing control of her instrument. She's also currently a contestant on the Voice, France. If you are unfamiliar with her, she has a channel and I very much enjoy fee version of SOS.

Saw them live last year. Floor is a Valkyrie Goddess. Nightwish the best ever. This version of GTS is the best live version ever.
Not only is Nightwish incredible for their music, they are also really down to earth people!
Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know all of them. I did however got a chance to work with Floor Jansen (lead singer, but you know that by now I guess..) for one of her solo performances. The Dutch aren't exactly known to be that friendly necessarily. Floor however is a wonderful woman. If you met her on a normal day, just out in the woods with her animals for example, you'd have a hard time realizing what an absolute goddess she is on stage! And to think she was battling breast cancer not long ago, and just announces she's pregnant with her second child!
I did see the band live once, a few years ago, and they are every bit as perfect as the music video's make you believe they are.

Among symphonic metal bands Nightwish is the most accessible. Start with them then move on to heavier bands in symphonic metal.
It all started with the most extreme metal bands, Celtic Frost from Switzerland (difficult to hear due to the harshness of the style) and Therion from Sweden (classic metal with opera). Nightwish started power with folk influences and gothic ballads.
To keep on the simphonic metal theme you should listen to the band wintersun , sons of winter and stars
Now that you've experienced the most reacted to video, it's time to see some more of Nightwish. How about "The Poet and the Pendulum" for an emotional roller coaster? Song of Myself, Shudder before the Beautiful, Storytime, and Bless the Child are also among my favorites.

Floor her name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora.
Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy.
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6).
She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Plus, huge vocal nerd 😉.
Floor Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon (Second singer of Nightwish after Tarja) as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour (And she had to learn the setlist in 48h). On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.

Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish)
Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. He also composes the music for the backing track they use. It is recorded in London with musicians from The London Philharmonics. Pip Williams helps with the orchestration. There are two London based choirs too on the backing track, the other one is a children's choir. And of course with a synth you can do a lot.
This was recorded at the 2013 Wacken (pronounced Vahken) Open Air festival in Germany in front of an audience of 82,000 people. The fiery bull head is the symbol of the festival.
