At this slow pace, Konami will take other 3 years to fix eFootball... absurd. Let's see. I uninstalled the game long ago, frustrated, but for sure here I see some little improvements. But a football game without a proper career mode, always in WiP, is so bad.
their biggest money is from mobile right now. it's understandable why they focused so much on mobile. just hoping that consoles will get their proper treatment later.

If you don't want to spend real money (like me) you basically have to rely on daily rewards and basic challenges. By that I even managed to get players like '09 Messi, R. Carlos, Cafu, Beckenbauer, Van der Vaart, '13 Neymar
Playing this game online is a massive waist of time. Passes and player speed is way too fast and everyone has at least 9 legends. Everyone just plays low block press and with a quick counter.
The game is getting better, the graphics have improved a lot. Myleague has also evolved its animations as well. It's still much more realistic than fifa.
Hey TrueBrits, do you think it's completely impossible to mod this game unofficially? Couldn’t someone attempt to build a career mode from the ground up, especially since it's clear Konami won't be doing it? I'm asking on behalf of many in the community who feel that an unofficial career mode is a necessity. Is it truly unattainable, or is there still hope for a dedicated team of modders to make it happen? I’m watching in disbelief as this game, with all its incredible potential, is being destroyed by focusing solely on online play. It honestly makes me really sad.
I'm definitely not an expert in modding but the game's being out for quite a while now and no one maneged to mod a career mode so far, so... My only hope is that now with all the teams available in exhibition mode they can possibly do something but I wouldn't want to delude myself that much.
I enjoy playing on PS5, but it still has its downs. The players do the defensive work most of the time without me pressing any buttons, as in the stick their leg out for the ball or move into positions that I don’t want them to. You can also tell when the rival is going to score. Then sometimes they just one touch pass all the way from the back to the fwds. I’m on manual passing, makes it more fun and have a full squad of American players and it makes it interesting, if not it would be too easy going with the best players available.
Gotta disagree about the legends, I haven't spend money on the game and through rewards and free spins I have nearly a full epic team. Of course the crazy good ones are still behind a paywall though.
Shielding reduces the Pace of the Gameplay. It is essential to hold those quick online Ping Pong guys on for some seconds. They love making blind quick passes without any distraction. So Ping Pong guys will hate this Shielding.

When looking at the faces in game it always goes to show if you only put in real effort ONCE you're basically set for 5+ years in terms of needing to scan, redesign, etc. For example: Busquets and Alba basically still have their PES 2017 faces but look really good meanwhile Courtouis also still has his PES 2017 face but looks really bad and almost PS3 like. Meaning: Konami would only need to go HARD on scanning for like one season in the big five leagues and would probably blow EA out of the water (face graphic wise) where guys like Ter Stegen, etc. still look like they were from Fifa 14
Hi ! Nice video as always ! I don't like what they did with the shielding... Before the update, finesse dribbling was made with the left stick... you had to push it a little in order to do it ! To shield you had to press L2/LT. So finesse dribbling + shielding is the still the same combination of buttons. The difference is before the update it was more manual. So now it is a huge NO for me... enough automatic, assisted stuff... I hope they made shielding like that because they want to on manual shielding and implement it again later in a future update.. If not, that is a huge step back gameplay wise for me... The approach on commands is so bad, so old...
I just want master league, I can get past the no kits, the fake names of teams and all that crap. I went back to pes 2016 because it’s the only one I have on ps5 and played through a few seasons before the update.
This new update is fantastic! They just need to work on the replays and give us an offline league mode with Authentic teams not Dream League. Also stats apply to shielding realistically.

The thing is about master league and edit mode is that konami have really no incentive to make those , they gain nothing since most people how play offline especially on pc will use a pirated version most likely and play it offline with a mod for licenses and other stuff , there is no really no way they can add single player modes while keeping the game free, and if they make it 60 euros again they'll probably not make much money since not a lot of people will buy it , by making the game free and making it online only with microtransactions they can make more money , the game in it's current state has a bit of a pay to win factor , some players are literally unbeatable like beckanbeaur and davids literal machines if you get em .

The best thing about Update 4.0.0 is the new Match-up, finese dribble and of course hair physics. As an online player, the new match-up makes efootball the best defending football game so far. Never seen defenders this highly aware ever (at least for me). But attackers are more stupid now; I've never seen anyone online score from a header! It is part of football yet I feel nobody crosses the ball anymore as headers are almost non-existent anymore. Another thing is through balls, they feel assisted and always directed to opponent defenders' feet which is frustrating. Passing must be full manual. Assisted and semi-assisted passing must be removed.
I have installed the patch, all seems to be working great but I only have the option of the 2 Konami default balls, is this the same for everyone or did I do something wrong? Thanks

ciao ttb, the same applies to the fade-in for matches that take place in the AFC champions league. if you take al nassr and attihad for example, the fade-in looks really, really cool!!! even in the japanese league. but otherwise you always see the dreadful yellow and blue for the last 3 years... it's unbelievable that you don't come up with the idea of improving something aesthetically 🤦
Could never understand a player's rating system in PES or eFootball. How does a player have stats over 100? Is that supposed to mean that a player is better than perfect? LOL. More like a god, suspension of belief or something.
No, I think it’s made to make you feel like you’re playing with that player on their highest form and peak potential. It’s not meant to be real it’s meant for you to feel how a player would be like if they were perfect. Also, unlike fifa being rated 99 or over 100 doesn’t mean they can do everything. I have a 105 Messi, barely can run away. Can do everything perfectly in attacking but his pace is awful
The close up look is fantastic, they have updated facial expression which is nice, still it can be improved tho.. but during the play, the graphic looks terrible, like a game from 10 years ago. Cutscenes and Replays also look terrible. Cutscenes are copy paste, so repetitive...The camera angles of replays are horrible, I don't enjoy watching the replays. And yes the menu sucks, Konamis are too stubborn, they knew it but still wont do anything.. Body structure of players sucks too... Make it look more realistic, at least for the top players. Even Messi's body structure looks odd to me especially the arms.

It’s like wearing a watch for 10 years and then taking it off, you feel like an arm is missing. I like to control everything, I don’t like anything automatic so it’s not just muscle memory and being used to something,it’s a big empty hole because it’s automatic.

I don't think they will make huge changes in this free game. I'm sure they will come with more offline content and next gen graphics in the paid version. This free game is targeted to get more players, even those players with low PC specs are targeted.

It's a pity, they wasted so much potential in pes games, they had everything, they could have been on the throne, but obviously the money and greed of the company itself prevailed, the focus is not on PC and console players but on mobile players, next gen looks like from the ps3 era, every year a new update comes out that is literally the same every year, they give you messi as a gift and the gameplay is still the same, just some makeup things and laziness of the developers...what a shame for the company, they downgraded every aspect of the game, they don't listen to the community at all and they really disappointed the people who loved the pes, we played it for the gameplay and for its realness, it was really a simulation that could have progressed to a perfect simulation of football but obviously the money killed the game...

Konami hasn't fully changed to the unreal engine. Its mainly cutscenes and certain assets that use it.
Only Da Messi model is looking like a proper Unreal Engine Model

It's a pity, they wasted so much potential in pes games, they had everything, they could have been on the throne, but obviously the money and greed of the company itself prevailed, the focus is not on PC and console players but on mobile players, next gen looks like from the ps3 era, every year a new update comes out that is literally the same every year, they give you messi as a gift and the gameplay is still the same, just some makeup things and laziness of the developers...what a shame for the company, they downgraded every aspect of the game, they don't listen to the community at all and they really disappointed the people who loved the pes, we played it for the gameplay and for its realness, it was really a simulation that could have progressed to a perfect simulation of football but obviously the money killed the game...

yeah, the automatic shielding while sprinting is annoying, the player slows down shields the ball and wastes the opportunity
