Your voice is so calming and relaxing. I listen to your videos at bedtime, almost like a meditation. Lol
Ok so I'm not the only one instead of sleep sounds I play Mrs maker's video to ko lol...... And to learn of course she's the best
I am so excited to make these hair bows for my granddaughters and niece thank you so much for inspiring me to be more creative and productive.
I love this! My daughter loves bows and this has started to become an obsession of mine to make as many as she can stand! :) thank you for this tutoral.
If you add the no-skid shelf lining inside the alligator clips tops it helps with grip for the bows - the kind you get at DT is awesome and does a LOT of bows -
Super cute!
@@JenniferMaker Thank YOU for all you do & are doing! I'm totally a groupie!!
I'm new to this forum, and was wondering what the no-skid shelf lining is. Do you have a link? I plan on making several bows. They are adorable!
@@loriv3268 I just get mine at Dollar tree - then I measured my alligator clips inside portion and cut rectangles to fit there on my Cricut. Enjoy!
I have been wanting to make hair bows for my granddauther for a long time but felt intimidated. Your video and files have given me the confidence to do it. Thank you!!!
My favorite is the party bow. It is very pretty. I am going to make these bows. I got a maker last yeat around this time but has not made time to use it yet. Since My school is closed I will have time to try these challenges. Thanks Jennifer for the wonderful ideas.
This is the perfect time to master that Maker! 😊 Thanks for being here, crafting with us! ❤️
I love this video! My daughter loves hair bows, and I have made these exact type out of felt using just scissors. Holy frustration trying to get both sides even! Now I can use my cricut and your awesome, thoughtfully provided pattern! I'm going to be making alllll the bows now! Thank you!
It IS terrible trying to get those two sides even with just a scissors, isn't it, Kimberly? Cricut to the rescue! Yay for you! 😁
These are absolutely fantastic, made a bunch for my nieces for Christmas! The only recommendation I have is using E6000 or Gorilla glue to glue the bows together and to the barrette. With the glossy feel of the pleathers, the hot glue will easily pop apart after it sets. Especially if they’re worn in the cold.
Absolutely adorable! My mermaid-loving granddaughter is going to simply swoon over the mermaid tail bows. She actually swims with a rubber mermaid tail covering her legs!
These faux bows are sooooo cute. Thank you Jennifer Maker for the svg so I can cut it on my Cricut Maker!!! I started learning how to use SVG files by watching your tutorial about svgs. I appreciate all of your help. Take care of you and yours, Cora Self
Thank you so much Cora! So glad to have you here, crafting with me! Take care! ❤️
Thank you Jennifer, these are PERFECT for our 6 yr old and 1 yr old granddaughters! ❤️
First of all I have to say I absolutely love you to pieces and your videos are amazing! You have helped me in so many ways, from sublimation to cricut, your videos helped me get started with both. I started doing sublimation back in the end of November and I got my very first sublimation printer in the beginning of january, thanks to your videos I got the Epson up 170 and I absolutely adore it. So once I started on sublimation I decided that I wanted to expand but I wasn't sure what that meant exactly I knew I wanted to expand but I didn't know where I wanted to go. So thanks to your videos I decided that I wanted to buy a Cricut machine and I had always been intimidated by them, my mother-in-law has one and she loves hers to pieces she mainly uses hers for epoxy tumbler elements and T-shirts and hoodies but I knew I wanted to do more than that So I watched a ton of your videos and decided to get the Cricut Maker 3 which I literally just got last Monday and so far I am a little intimidated by it I'm not going to lie but your videos make it super easy to use and so far I am loving it! I am trying to get my business off the ground I live in Alton Missouri which is about 20 minutes outside of St Louis Missouri I just created my first Facebook page, The Hawks Nest Custom Tumblers and Gifts, and I am currently working on getting a website built, but if it wasn't for you and your videos I wouldn't be where I am right now I'm doing something that I've always wanted to do and I am putting my heart and soul into it and I have you and my family the thing for that! The other person on UA-cam that has really helped me is Angie Holden from the country, her videos have been very very helpful and I have been watching makers going to learn as well and I can't forget crafting with Delonda, if it wasn't for the videos that all of you guys put out I don't know where I would be right now I would probably be sitting in the corner rocking back and forth staring at my Cricut machine and my sublimation printer asking myself what did I get into lol. So I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for putting these videos out so I can follow my dream and make things for people to make their lives a little bit brighter! You sure do make my life a little brighter and for that I am so grateful! Thank you and much love, Amanda Hawkins, Alton Illinois
Love it all Jennifer!! You are a true inspiration to the rest of us! Thank you for sharing EVERYTHING!
Thank you so much for this tutorial and templates! I found this in time for making some bows for a sweet little one for her birthday.
I love mermaid! Thank you Jennifer I just recently found you. You are really helping me a lot. Thank you for sharing your passion. Namaste ❤️
Those are so pretty. I can see adding some curling ribbon and putting it on a package or something.
These bows are adorable! I had my first girl after 4 boys so I'm excited to do this!
Very pretty hair bows my granddaughters will love them and really like the mermaid tails!! Thank you for showing how to make them Jennifer!!! Hugs Liz x
These are so Cute! I am new to the Cricut world so I am really looking forward to getting started! I have a great niece that loves Frozen and her hair bows so I would be interested in Frozen themed bows!
I love your tutorials! I am definitely going to try this for my Granddaughter. Thank you so much!
Those Mermaid bows are SO adorable! You have such wonderful ideas! Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Hair Bows with mermaid tails, butterfly wings and hearts are cute. My daughter would love to wear them.
Daughters love them, as do their mothers! You are never too old to wear a hair bow! 😍
So easy and cute at the same time Can't wait to make these for my grandaughters
Thank you for the suggestion of using party foil! I got that mystery box and have been wondering what I could use that party foil for.
YAY! Happy to help! That party foil can be tricky to glue, but be patient with yourself! :)
Another super easy to follow and comprehensive guide. Thanks so much 🎀💝
Aren't these the cutess ❤my daughter 9 yrs old have watched this video with me and God she is gone really crazy to make all yhese for her ❤ thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing your pattern, and showing us how to make such addorable bows, my daughters are going to love these...:)
so adorable... you make it look so easy.. still trying to get the hang of it.. thanks for all the tips and videos on my cricut maker
They are so fun! You will get the hang of it soon, I'm sure! :) Thanks for watching!
This is really neat! I have never really "got" the bows (maybe because I have boys) but after watching this I can see how cute and easy they are. I am ordering material to make some for my cousins little girl! :-)
Oh wow! So cute! I can't wait to try these. Wish I had purchased some faux leather before socially isolating! But I'll practice with paper! Thanks for sharing. Love the tulle with the mermaid tail!
You can practice with paper, Autumn, and then make new ones with faux leather later on when you've perfected your technique! Win-win!😁
All of those bows are so pretty! I know my granddaughter would love them. Can the faux leather be used in the Joy? If not, would the party foil work?
So excited to try these this weekend! I love watching your videos. So educating and easy to follow 🥰they are beautiful !
Was looking for a video on bows. Thanks for this. Just got a cricut 😊
Congratulations on your new machine! We have a free series of online classes that show you how to set up and begin creating with your machine as a new Cricut owner! Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff
I clicked on the shopping list but which actually colors were purchased for the pink and silver bow they shades look very similar in the shopping list.
Great video
No matter which shades you choose for yourself, the bows will look fabulous! Your bows do not have to be exactly like mine! 😉
Hi Jennifer, there is a bit of Pleather trim madness in Australia 🇦🇺 right now to make hair bows 🤩 possibly you heard about it 😂 what’s the best setting to use compared to faux leather ?
Mat? Material? Pressure? Cutting how many times? To tape sides or no? Material facing up or down? 100s of opinions but we love to know your opinion. Thanks heaps ♥️
I don't have a lot of experience with pleather. 🤣 But I'd imagine it's the same as faux leather- maybe thicker? I would always tape it down. I would cut face up. The best thing to do is to test using a small amount until you get the settings exactly right based on your material. 💚
@@JenniferMaker Hi Jennifer, I have 2 questions
1) can i double check plz , you said before for leather, to cut face up, that means pretty side up?
in this video at 10:12, you put the pretty side down, so can you plz confirm just in case if you update the technique 😅?
2) Also for leather, can we use pink mat (fabric one) instead of purple?
thanks heaps
I can’t wait to make some these for my little nieces. They’ll love them! Thank you!
These bows are so stinkin' cute! Especially love the mermaid ones. Thanks so much for the design and inspiration!
This may be a silly question, but what cricut did you use to make these? Would it work with a cricut joy? Thank you ❤️
Love these..can’t wait to make them for all the little ones!
You will love making them, Brenda, and they will love wearing them! A winning situation for all! 😁
Thank you so much! I made several Christmas bows tonight and I love how they turned out. Is there a tutorial for the small little bow (flower) that the helper was wearing?
That helper is my daughter, Scarlett! 😂 Yes, the tutorial on how to make that pretty rosette that is in her hair is contained in our blog post, here, and the svg for the rosette is #194 in our library! It's the one called "Hair-Bows-Fabric-Flower-Jennifermaker.svg" 😉

This may help with the download. jennifermaker.lpages.co/the-joy-of-svgs-video-2/
My nieces would love to have one of these! I'm gonna have to try making a couple of them.
Thank you for the video. I made the circle one today and am anxious to make the other 2. My question is what do I do with them after they're made???
I love your videos and just made my first bow ever! Cant wait to get mermaid material!
I send everyone to your page absolutely fantastic and extra helpful tutorials!
Hi Jennifer. Great tutorial! Can you make the bows with a Circut Joy? We are awaiting one to be delivered and the bows would be fantastic for our grand daughter?
Thank you for another amazing video!!! You are one of my favorite channels ❤ ❤
Awww, thank you for following me! And for your nice words - they make my day!😍
This is so pretty. Would love to make for my lil girl. Can this be made with my explore air, Ms.Maker?
It can! Here's a guide to help you with your settings: help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009426954-Cricut-Faux-Leather-Cutting-Instructions
Have you ever used the chunky glitter faux leather for these bows? If so, what cutting tip do you use? I would think it would be harder to cut through. Thanks for your info
I have not used it for bows, but it is tricky to cut. You can use your fine point blade and in custom material settings, try setting the pressure at 300. Test with small cuts and adjust pressure as needed. 💚
I didn't know finger protectors existed! I'm always burning my fingers with hot glue, so I'm ordering some. You should put those in your Amazon shop if they aren't already.
Great idea, Brenda! Some Dollar Tree stores also carry them, if there is one near you! 😉🥰
@@JenniferMaker What section Jennifer? I have not used a hot glue gun before and i am afraid to use them for that very reason. I want to use a hot glue gun because i am having a hard time to makeing the paper flowers stay together with other kinds of glue.
Thank you for another great tutorial. A few questions though.. 1) on the faux leather when you put the pretty side down, do you need to set mirror on to cut it like iron on vinyl? 2) what is the cut setting for the party foil using a maker? I have not used party foil at all for my maker and wondering what to use it for until now. Thank you again for sharing this with us 👍🏼😊
You can mirror the image for your faux leather, but for these designs, they are symmetrical so it doesn't matter much! :) For the party foil, you just select party foil from the materials menu and I always select, "More" when cutting! :)
Thank you for this tutorial , you are an excellent teacher . I been wanting to make the mermaid bow and love the faux leather you use in blue , is gorgeous if you can share we’re can I purchase this kind of leather my great granddaughter will love this. Love this I upload the file with your help because I use my iPad and was unfamiliar on how to upload svgs files and I did it , yay I will be making my mermaid bow , thanks so much . My great granddaughter birthday was yesterday but I will be sending her the bows, am so exited .
Great granddaughters LOVE these bows!! I'm so happy you were able to upload the file to your iPad! I'd love to share where I got the faux leather - you can find the link in the dropdown box to this tutorial, or in the Materials list in our blog post, here: 😄jennifermaker.com/make-hair-bows/
too cute, im on amazon right now ordering my materials, the grand daughter is going to be so surprised, ty both :)
Hi so when you are making the bows with with butterfly behind or the mermaid tale what are the sizes you use for those? And what size should the butterfly or tale be? Thanks
It is sized to fit the hair clips that are 2.2" but you can make it smaller or larger to fit it on what you are making. Like if I was to put it on a wide headband I may adjust the size for it. jennifermaker.com/make-hair-bows/
These are so cute! I just got my circut so I want to learn as much as I can. I have a couple of questions though. Would better/safer to use something E6000 glue do you don't burn yourself? My next question is can these be sold? I would love to add them to my shop.
Thank you for the design files! I also have a question regarding the Very glittery faux leather, is it ok to use the rotary cutter on these?
Since I didn't try this tutorial with the very glittery faux leather, Jayka Ann, I can't really tell you from experience! But, from what I've seen online, the recommendations are to use your regular fine-point blade, set at "denim-bonded" material with more pressure! And make sure to tape that leather, pretty side down, on to your mat! 😉🥰
New subbie here🤗. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on making business cards? Much appreciated. 💫
You can add your project suggestion here - jennifermaker.com/projectrequests Thank you so much for watching! :)
My best friend is about to have a baby girl, I think I found what I need to make for her! Thank you!
Hi love the video and the bows cant wait to make some. What size do you cut them out at please
You can change the size in Design Space. I made these with the detentions that is uploaded.
I love these! I’ll be ordering faux leather soon!
Yay!! I can't wait to see yours! Please share them in our Cricut Crafters and Makers Facebook group!
I just made your bow; my first one and it’s so pretty ❣️ I even purchased the finger protectors, what a great suggestion. Thank you for giving so much of your time to share crafting happiness.
Yay, thank you!
