Rib Mountain, WI ASC T-135AC (P-50)

This is installed on top of Rib Mountain on the 89Q Radio Tower. Siren is operated by Marathon County. It was installed in 2006, when the old siren was removed from the fire station in the city itself. Siren is tested every Monday around 1:15.

The siren mounted on the tower used to be formerly GTE Microwave site, GTE removed microwave antennas around 10 years ago after lit up all fiber optic networks. The other tower with round microwave antenna in the front it is formerly AT&T ( Ma Bell) long lines, Wondering why do they keeps it even no longer in operational?

Was the siren put up hear for the park to know if there is a tornado warning. Last year I was walking and took a break right under the tower when it went off.

Lol yea, climbing on top of the ski lift towers isn't very practical especially in the summer heat with wasps everywhere (they scared me that day...). And thanks for the info, I had always been confused as to when exactly it had been installed but it gives me a better idea as to when it was.

No a brand new 508 will head up there. But I personally think now one will know whats sounding. Everybody new what the T-135 P-50 sounded like.

It still here and will be for a little wile yet. I am heading to a siren test there today.

Well idk. It wont go for a very very long time since it was installed in the mid 2000s as vortexrider04 has stated. So, it should last for a very long time.
