@@davidrees1840ibanez has started using them on some of their black label series guitars. Like on my Xiphos. I was wondering why they had a gold-ish tint. Those are right up there with stainless steel. Their jumbo sizes are more of a narrow, slightly lower size of stainless jumbo that I prefer.
You should be able to fix the intonation yourself and thats not an issue really its normal to have to do maintenance on any guitar you buy regardless of price. Especially when it comes to Intonation, Neck relief, and cleaning the electronics. You will always need to do those things. Why doesn’t anyone know how to maintain their gear anymore???
A good Telecaster is buttery. It's good for jazz, blues, and rock and roll. It's well-balanced. It doesn't hang on your shoulders like a Les Paul. It's not slippery like a strat- the body has edges. It's Not Fragile like an SG. You can take out a drum set with it and it stays in tune.
Not saying it's bs. My buddy had a 1995 mim strat and the he only refreted it after maybe 12 years and the maple fretboard looked like it was 60 years old. We can assume that our UA-cam man is a soft player and dousnt dig in
To some degree. It's possible the reason for poor intonation is because of a sub standard fret replacement. But yes it can definitely be improved with truss rod adjustments, string gauge changes and saddle/nut adjustment.
My next project is putting noiseless pickup in My tele. Also one of the many many reasons I love the tele is it can take a beaten and still work as if nothing happen. Had my tele for 10 years and you can tell it's my main guitar
I loved my tele it was my first guitar and I wore the frets out on it twice. And played it so much the paint start to chip and it looked relic. Played at my high school retreat went to go eat dinner when I returned it was stolen. I still curse that person to this day. It was also a lefty guitar so I have no idea why someone would take it. Anyways definitely recommend stainless steel frets with the comfortable neck and fat twang it just compliments the overall guitar especially if your playing that much it might be worth the extra $$$ plus the smooth bending is so nice.
Dude I have a lefty tele and one of the reasons I love it being a lefty is no one will pick it up witch I hate when people touch my main guitar and tell I read this no one well want to steal it cause it's left handed.
Same here. Black fusion tele hh with wilkison 2 point floating trem. Locking tuners, coil split, belly cut, heel cut, and double horn cut on bottom, quarter sawn single peice maple neck with great figuring, stainless steel frets, graphtech nut and actual macasar ebony fretboard, oh and a flawless wood binding going around the black in front and red back and sides body thats made of Nyotah, and is high glossed, neck is super smooth satin. For 306 bucks after shipping and all. No buzz, low action, and no sharp frets. Perfect finish and plays and sounds like a dream. A guitar that fender would charge 8-12 hundred for all day long.
New American professional tele looks amazing. Specially that deluxe version can sound like a jazz guitar it’s crazy. Anyways love you content! Ur the boss
I have a Tejas Tea version & I love it more and more each time I play it. Of course I was not as keen on those noiseless as you are. I couldn’t get along with them. I tried & I tried. So I swapped them for Twisted Tele’s & booyucka! Brand new and one of my favs. I really like the S-1 that thickens up the tone ALOT! It essentially makes the pups into a humbucker. & that’s the best Fender neck I’ve ever played on.
Amazon debut are decent and cheap, I know because I'm a beginner and I bought one. I showed it to my father in law who has been playing for 60 years. He was impressed.
You should be able to fix the intonation yourself and thats not an issue really its normal to have to do maintenance on any guitar you buy regardless of price. Especially when it comes to Intonation, Neck relief, and cleaning the electronics. You will always need to do those things.

Its a cool guitar man and that noiseless pickups is a major thing been using my jackson v and my iron label ibanez my v sortof have that but but my Ibanez doesn't i actually thought something was up tith the jackson till i realized nah thats just how most guitars sound and i am spoiled with my Ibanez that i got for a steel at a pawn shop
If you dont already have stainless steel frets i would highly suggest getting stainless steel next time you decide to replace them. They are much tougher than the usual nickel frets which sucks for your luthier and their tools but when they get those things polished up they are incredibly smooth and durable
The problems your facing are so easy to solve. Setting the internation is so easy, and you may as well put stainless steel frets in next time they need replacing
im playin a fender am elite.. nice playin.. hard workin for tones.. not much bass and very thin tone.. definitly not a metal guitar 😂.. but i luv this guitar ❤
I was going to buy a telecaster as my first electric, then I saw the strat with the whammy and couldn’t resist. it’s been 8 years and I dont think I’ve ever actually used the whammy while playing
None of my "cheap" Squier Classic Vibe had fret issues. Because the necks have been rolled on that series since 2008, as well as the fret barbs are cut on each side and the holes are filled with wood dust and glue. Take note Fender. No need to spend 2300 bucks for that.
My ex boyfriend has a lefty BC Rich Axe from the 90's and he still plays it because it has really clean sounds, and the insanely deep level of distortion he cannot find in another guitar. This one sounds as clean to my untrained ears
I love fender teles but I have the other bridge I call the better bridge but some pple like the other one I love the clean tone of it And I have 13s on it
Nickel silver also work hardens. In order to work harden something, you need to plastically deform it. If you plastically deform a fret after it's installed on a guitar, then it's already ruined. It has nothing to do with why stainless steel frets last longer, all that matters is that stainless steel is harder than nickel silver.
Changing frets after 3 years of play is beyond crazy. What in the world kind of strings are you using and are you storing your guitar under a pile of vibrating bricks when it isn't in use? Holy moly. I have guitars I've played every day for well over a decade and haven't had to replace the frets once. I have a light touch, but something isn't right here 😂
Damn how long do you have to play a guitar to wear out the frets? I’ve been playing since I was 13 and I’m 34 now and have never worn the frets out on a guitar. I also don’t think I’ve owned any one guitar more than 5 years though.
The Ultra is actually the furthest thing from a Tele. It does not have the tone youd think a traditional Tele would have. No spank at all with the noiseless, no-balls, pickups. He clearly got this as a guitar and not as a Tele. Same for the Strat Ultra, nothing like a Strat. At that price range, save another $700 and get a Suhr T style or Crook (which Brad Paisley uses).
Intonation isn’t good? Pickup a screw driver and fix it, If it’s flat the the screw attached to it counter clockwise, pushing the string towards the neck
What happened to the intonation not being able to be set properly? I just got a strat with the same maple neck and fretboard combo, and it's prefect, but now concerned that it'll warp somehow 😅
Don't you complain about intonation with a 6-saddle bridge tele while my tele, which I love with all my heart, has a 3 saddle bridge with a B thats too sharp and a high e thats too flat :') I wish it didn't sound and play so amazing...
It probably wasnt actually necessary, you can clean frets with fret polish and they shouldn’t wear down to the point of refretting for a long time. I thought I needed mine replaced because they got slightly worn down from playing but my tech said that’s normal and doesnt mean it needs a refret

Never knew how awkward it feels without Brandon shouting "now JUST leave!"
When your only criticism with the guitar comes from I literally play it too much maybe it’s time to considering stainless steel frets
Stainless frets?
Are there choices for fret wire material, is there any difference to a trained ear?
Why are you suddenly having issues with intonation?
I guess I don’t have to leave this time. Thanks bro
Cause he didn't yell
good to know i’m not the only one to watch until the end of the video for him to tell me to leave
And we can stay on the cigarettes a little longer, too.
I've watched hundreds of his videos and I always skip the end. I just found out he tells us to leave at the end 😭
I like how the only two problems with it can be summed up by "i played it so much it threw out its back." Tele for life
🤣🤣🤣
I have a thing about bound Tele's. Bound is good, double bound is better. Two sets of frets in three years? Wow! You may need stainless steel frets.
or Jescar EVO frets. The hardness is between stainless and nickel-silver (std frets). They're slightly gold, barely noticeable on a guitar.
Schecter. Get a schecter
Stainless Steel Frets is what you should consider

Mine is a Squire Affinity series. I can't complain.
My favorite guitar EVER!

@@redbloodedamerican2346yeah if you pay that much for a guitar it should def have stainless steel frets. My 1000 dollars Schecter does

The hissing sound just means an epic metal shred is about to be played🙏
Intunation is adjustable my guy
To some degree. It's possible the reason for poor intonation is because of a sub standard fret replacement. But yes it can definitely be improved with truss rod adjustments, string gauge changes and saddle/nut adjustment.

Love my tele! I have a George Harrison’s rosewood telecaster and it’s quite incredible
My first electric guitar was passed down to me and was 1989 telecaster
I have that exact tele and it’s the best guitar I’ve ever owned. And I’ve had a lot of guitars lol
i wasnt ready for that "holy fucking shit"
I have the exact same one, same colors too. I got it 4 years ago, it is awesome!
I love that guitar 🎸... I used to have a tele once upon a time i sold it and regretted it immediately
I love the Telecaster especially the Albert Collins signature style

Stainless Steel jumbo frets last forever. Stainless steel "work hardens" so the frets get harder with use.

Adjusting intonation is trivially easy. Ya just need a little allen wrench.
