This tutorial is using a turquoise crochet thread (#10 is standard) and the beads are white glass seed beads, probably size #8/0 (3mm), but you can use whatever you want to just as long as the thread to bead ratio is accurate (ie. thicker thread for larger beads, etc). There are many guides of this sort on Pinterest that will help you choose the correct thread to bead ratio. One thing to keep in mind, the lighter your thread is, the easier it is to see your work and the heavier the thread/bead, the more it will weigh on the ear. I actually used light pink #10 crochet thread with a gold #8/0 (3mm) glass seed bead (but a #6/0 might have been okay). Mine worked out very nicely, thank you Macrame School for an excellent tutorial.

+Macrame School beautifoul very noice.
I am from India and I would like to thank you so much for this....i have watched this nearly 5-6 times, and then i was able to understand them. I love all your tutorails, and are very easy to follow. In this tutorial, i would like to mention that you did not tell about the materials required, as in the length and the number of the cords required to make this tutorial, along with the quality of cord you have chosen, as you have mentioned it in other videos. Anyhow a great tutorial. Thank you
+Shubha Naik Hi, I like her videos, too. I think I recognize the cord as #10 thread from the spool at the beginning of her picture. It is the same that you would use for crocheted doilies and the like.

Hi! Love your designs! ♡
I was thinking, at minute 6 will it be possible to create an oval earing instead of an espiral one? If so, would it possible for you to do a video about it. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

MariaRosaNew Espada you can always press the stop/play button :)
MariaRosaNew Espada wonderful suggestions. Thanks!
You can slow the video down by clicking on the cog. It is at the bottom of the screen third in from the right. It looks like a circle with 6 bumps on it. I hope this helps.
they will never replied what cord they use, they only want to get compliments
Shan Shan that's true. I made bracelet with polyester cord but I don't think that'll work for earrings too :/ I got polyester cord in only black colour
Really a stupid comment ! Check the other vids and you'll see the type of cord used. Here, she makes a bigger model out of cotton yarn , so we can see the knots !
If she'd work with thin cord, we'd see nothing in her hands. It's a tutorial, for learning the spiral.
As she says, it's made for earings, pendants, decorations... and the cord will depend on the kind of thing you want to do.
It's crochet thread. In the USA size #10 is standard and the beads are seed beads, 11/0 is standard. There are plenty of conversion charts on Pinterest to figure out these USA sizes for the sizes of the brands you use.
