Legioned Marcher - Under Fire

- This is taken from their 2-song 1987 demo. Legioned Marcher were a local Oklahoma US power metal act and this is one of the first recordings of renowned bass player Rev Jones who later got to record with Forté and Black Symphony and play with the Michael Schenker Group and Mountain. I certainly wouldn't mind if "Under Fire" was included in Queensrÿche's EP instead of "Blinded"...
Legioned Marcher were:
Bill Dollins - vocals (joined Forté in their 2nd album)
Rev Jones - bass, vocals
Everett Levingston - guitar
Ron Phillips - guitar
Chris Packhorse - drums, vocals
Another amazing, obscure U.S. Metal band of the mighty '80s!
This is the definition of US power metal, amazing post!
As I recall, it was all one take and then one take leads over the top. Too bad we didn't know anything about recording back then. Thanks for posting this, though. 23 years flies past.
Love this, great to see the 80's Oklahoma metal on here. I wish i still had a copy of this, Chris gave me one but a "friend" of mine some how ended up with it in 88 and have not seen him or it since. PRAISE THUNDER!
I have had Rev. Jones on my music video TV show Midnight Madness before with MSG, Mountain, Steelheart, Forte', and the Rev. Jones band, but this is new to me, and does sound like Queensrÿche.
This is a very rare tape, I don’t know of anyone here in Oklahoma City that has a copy. This would make a killer 7 inch single but I doubt the master tape still exists. I see Rev sometimes I’ll have to see if he has any input on this one
HAD TO LEAVE OUT A FEW CONJUNCTIONS TO KEEP IT UNDER 500 CHARACTERS BUT I THINK YOU CAN FILL IN THE BLANKS..:)
USPM 🤘🤘🖤🖤🖤
This is superb !
You did nothing offensive at all, just FYI........... Its great to hear this again. Your the only copy still around. well i know who has mine but i aint seen him in years. Im a hundred miles away..how about "PRAISE THUNDER" that would be great. God i miss good shit like this!!!!! especially drumming it............
@packhorsec: I took that photo from Rev's site and I used the '87 line-up pic and not the '86 one 'cause the demo was recorded in 1987, hope I didn't do something significantly wrong...
Hey what's up man"..I lived in the city grew up there..I new bill an Ron I worked with Ron at a carwash.."the rainmaker lol..both are real cool dudes I would like to get in touch with them..
They couldn't play in clubs or bars because Bill was under age. We tried to book them.

@packhorsec: I wanna keep a certain collectors/obscurity value to your stuff, that's why I'm not uploading "Praise Thunder" as well. If you send me your email address with a prvate message here on UA-cam I can email it to you. :)
ive added the lyrics to PRAISE THUNDER TO MY FACE BOOK NOTES ALSO. FEEL FREE TO CK.'EM OUT...later all
Great song but i try to find Legioned Marcher Demo's but thats impossible there are no songs...anyone has any demo of this band??
how many demos they have?
@EC66OK: I'd take one-take killer stuff like this one over over-produced meaningless sh*t any time of the day...
hell yeah, that's how Van Halen did it. One room, one take! Who else does that
