Would love to see an Electric Forest vs Okee vs Roo comparison to see how much artist overlap there is and the difference in genre breakdowns for those interested in camping fests!
As someone who just got back from their first Okeechobee (and first music/ camping fest) - go, Go, GO!! It was so amazing. The weather was perfect. Vibes and community were amazing. The sets were absolutely insane. There was so much variety for anyone to be satisfied. If you can - definitely check it out!!
The Lost area was my absolute favorite when I went back in 2018! It was literally like falling down the rabbit hole. Phones, typewriters, etc. all in the trees above your head. There was a wall with bottles on it for you to write notes and put into them. A small 2-person table that if you sat down, a waiter would come and serve you tea in a full uniform. Beyond this was a small room with stacked tv's all playing white noise with a couch on the other end for ppl to sit. It was AMAZING! Also please checkout Cannons!! It's not edm, it's more disco-pop / synthpop and they are SUCH A VIBE
Yeah the stacked TV room weirded me out, there were young dudes tweaking in there just staring at the white noise with their faces inches from the screen. We came back by there a couple hours later while exploring and they were still in the same spots staring.. 😬
If you guys like Okee, you should check out Hulaween in Florida. It’s all genres, music and arts fest. As well as camping. It’s know as the electric forest of the south.
nothing compares to hula! went for the first time this past year and although i didn’t know a lot of the lineup honestly just the experience and everyone there was amazing! so much love and wonderful ppl. i tell everyone to go at least once if they can. i’ll be going every year from now on lol

Year 1 of Okeechobee was my first festival. Haven’t been since 2017, but I’ll be going this year. Definitely the most unique vibe of any other fest I’ve been to in the years since. I’ll never forget seeing kendrick Lamar for the first time there Checkout Denzel Curry! He’s a Miami native.

Drag Bingo was my favorite thing to do during the day! This was the first Okee they had it and it was so much fun!
If you have An Apple air tag use that to locate ur camp. Leave it in ur car and always know where it’s at even when u don’t hVe service
