Every time I visit Litochoro, the first thing I do is run streight to the Municipal 3Park. Green and welcoming, it will offer you an unforgettable #image #frame: a #jet of water and Olympus standing proud and #irresistible as a background!
Nearby the #Maritime #Museum of Litochoro. And yet in this #beautiful #winter #destination the inhabitants were always dedicated to the sea with the majority being #sailors.
From this park start mountain #running #races with international fame like Olympus #Marathon and hundrends participating.
Do not miss the municipal #gallery and the memorial monument.
The walk continues to the main square. #Traditional stone buildings and the glorious #church of Agios Nikolaos dominate the scenery.
From here begins your wandering in the #labyrinthine #alleys of the settlement.

Do not forget to visit the Holy #Monastery of Agios Dionysios in Olympus, northwest of Litochoro. At an altitude of 850 meters lies the old monastery founded in 1542.
And the breathtaking Holy #Cave.
While the New Monastery of #AgiosDionysios was built about three kilometers from Litochoro when the old one was destroyed.
#Dion was the holy city of the Macedonians in Ancient Greece. Here the hoe brought to light the existence of a brilliant civilization and one of the most important Macedonian cities, through the findings of the #Archaeological Park of Dion, and next to it you may visit the Ancient #Theater, where during the Olympus #Festival, the ancient tragedy is revived.
To the south the visitor will see the #Castle of #Platamonas, one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Greece, which dates back to the Frankish era.
During your stay in the shadow of Olympus, take advantage of the opportunity to get to know this sacred place better. Horse riding, hiking and mountaineering, climbing and mountain biking are just a few options.

Wenn man genau auf den Olymp sieht, kann man das Gesicht im liegenden Zustand sehen. Ich bin mit der Familie mein ganzes Leben in Katerini und Leptokaria gewesen, aber ich habe dieses Konterfei erst 2014 das erste Mal gesehen.

Leptokaria hat den allerbesten Strand in der Küste am Olymp. Nirgendwo ist das Wasser klarer als in Leptokaria.
