However this one manages to tie down the heavier tones just fine!! I love it. Oh, and congrats on finally getting 1k!!!! Another cool track laamaa. Not meant as a diss, but I've noticed with M8 tracks in general, kick drums sound sort of light, without much bass frequency. Is that just the nature of tracking, as it is a quick hit without much reverberation? What do you think, does my premise seem a reality to you?
Hard to say and depends a lot on the context. in general I'd guess it's mostly about the song arrangement and because there's no eq on the device other than the single filter on instruments. Mixing on the device is a compromise between sound design and normal eq'ing, often leaving interfering low frequencies on the tracks. It's a good idea to render stems and do a mix on a DAW to get better control.
I really want to do a thing where I go through some tunes like that and try to explain the ideas! Life is just currently making it hard to find time for anything personal that takes more than 15 minutes 😄
