It will take some more time before Artemis’ skin is fully healed but she is already so much improved in about 6 weeks in the shelter! Lovely volunteer Lena is responsible for the dogs living around her small house and all dogs love her to bits. What a great reward to see so many wagging tails when she entered the area.
Taki, when you first touched her head and petted Artemis, she closed her eyes with an expression of bliss, the same that we saw on Babis when he first arrived. You heal wounded souls with unconditional love. 🥰
The dog is doing what it is supposed to resting, eating, drinking water, and getting better.
Artemis has been suffering so this is a great difference for this senior. She's enjoying life now. 😅😅😅

No wonder Takis always says his ‘payment’ for all his hard work and suffering is to see the animals completely transform from sad and scared to happy and healthy.
I think if I lived in Europe then this would be the dog I would adopt. Poor girl looks like she has lived a tough life.

It looks as if she was beaten around the face. It's good to see it healing, and for her to gain weight. She has a very gentle nature.
The wounds were from her Leishmaniasis. Thankfully not from beating her. But you never know..there are some sh*tty monsters on earth..🙈🙈🙈
