It was because the mime garg bonus attack cancels the garlic animation probably. team-up doesnt do anything in those situations

Regarding the move between the mime and the trickister, the garlic says that if it is attacked it will move the zombie, but when the trickster attacks the garlic, a "line of priorities" is created, the trickister hits, and by logic the garlic would activate but the mime enters the "priority line" in front of the garlic, causing the garlic to miss time, he lost the activation of his effect, "but he speaks when he is attacked, so even if the mime enters in front of him, he should activate " It turns out that the garlic in this case lost its "attacked" "status" when the mime enters the front, gaining the dead "status", which is why when you do this combo against the garlic it will not activate, in short in the game the mime and "faster" than garlic, causing this confusion when it comes to resolving its effect.

I think the mime highlight happened because when the sequence of bonus attacks is not interrupted by a block, it all happens at once. This is probably why the highlight in another video where the transformed snorkel did a bonus attack.

I think the mime overloads the process of actions making Trickster not move due to the presence of Mime Garg also attacking

Even if the stakes weren’t as high, I still think he should have been more hype
But you can't run leap in Electric Boogaloo decks
Back at it again with the stonks
That whole trickster moving only when there is no mime reminds me a lot of a similar mechanic in yugioh called "missing the timing". The trickster should move when he damages the garlic. However, the mimes effect will activate later in the chain and will thus resolve first. Becuase of this, the "when" of the tricksters effect has passed and so the window of timing has changed causing the garlics effect to not happen. There is much more to it than that in yugioh, but I feel this is a satisfactory explanation for pvz heroes where there are no if or optional effects.

I just woke up then Suddenly this popped so I clicked
i think the reason why the garlic trickster gimmick didnt work with the mime is due to bonus attacks having the highest ability priority the mimes bonus attack overided the garlics movement ability, that might be why without the added bonus attack to overide the garlic the game registered the garlics ability and moved the trickster, i hope if you benefit and make a deck around this gimmick fry!
