I thought they said he felt guilty for leaving his younger siblings all the time. Feeling guilty for not being there for them as a big brother and being gone so much.
Tae has the largest range of all the BTS vocalists he covers 3 octaves and 4 notes. Its a secret what this song is about Tae has never said. We think hes talking to his real life brother and sister but nothing is positive.
he never specific what is that song about even namjoon said that tae must have his secret story about it, he has 2 younger siblings a brother and a sister i really would like to know what is that song about. Stigma is an enigma lol
Alejandra Fragoso Marín SuJu,TVXQ/JYJ&2PM In BU he only has a sister (pretty sure) and there’s an abusive father and murderers him. Also when she said he stabbed his father with glass he actually had a dagger which is in the beginning of the film on the graffitied wall that he would grafitti. He was actually dropping the beer bottle and I think he did that so he would let it all go (emotionally and mentally) or a reference to his father dying. Sorry if this is a spoiler go read the webtoon! It!s called Save Me BU is BTS Universe Idk what the song means to him personally though I guess he could have younger siblings back at his farm with the rest of his family but he only showed he had cousins there right?
that line now there are only different whales speaking different languages is supposed to represent lonely whale/kim taehyung trying to communicate their thoughts in hopes of reaching to someone.it is a reference from their earlier song whalien 52 one of my most favorite bts songs.
Yeah as everyone said, we don't know. But the running theory is it's about is brother and sister. He is the oldest and he left a younger brother and sister behind to pursue his dream of BTS, so he wasn't really there for them. So the guess is that of course he feels guilty for not being there for them. It's also the reason that many of us believe that is why Yoongi let's Tae get away with so much because Tae babies Yoongi at times. Tae is an older brother and Yoongi is the baby of his family. Hey ARMY, isn't this also the performance when he was sick too? But you know how these guys hate to disappoint us so he put his heart into it even when he didn't feel great.
Btw Taehyung loves blues, jazz and r&b A LOT. He used to play saxophone when he was in highschool too for 3 years cuz his father told him that if he wants to be a real singer/artist, he needs to learn to play and instrument lol
Hey, okay this is going to be LONG but bear with me. Something different about this trailer is that Taehyung is not dead. At first, it seems that way; the atmosphere caked in darkness, but there is no exaggeration of the moments and at the end there are huge clues that this may even be a prologue to Prologue. Another starter is that Taehyung may be linked to the character named Franz Kromer in Herman Hesse's Demian, the story Wings is based off of. ( Check out this link to know more about this theory: www.wattpad.com/310209428-bts-wings-explained-wings-3-stigma) Kromer is a poor child of a broke drunkard and tortures the main character at the beginning of the book by tricking Emil into practically working for him. First, we hear Namjoon speaking. They're about how Taehyung's life was maturing past childhood and changing into something darker. It's a flag of warning to the rest of the trailer. We begin watching Taehyung partaking in an act of vandalism. From the Run MV, we can see that he has already committed acts like this with Namjoon, who is really the only one left for him to be paired with after Jungkook+Suga and Jimin+J-Hope, and Jin still being alive and out of the cycle.Police cars drive up and screech. A figure approaches Taehyung and presses him to the vandalised wall, stopping him from acting further. Taehyung, though, looks almost evilly ecstatic at this situation, like he was planning this. We know from I Need U that he had an abusive father, and it only makes sense that he'd take out his pain in ways like this.Scene switch. Taehyung is being interrogated by a mysterious, faceless figure. He gives the figure his name, but them starts twitching his finger, as if pulling a trigger. We then are moved to an alternate location that looks empty and gray. Instead of wearing the colorful jacket that he was before, Taehyung is wearing almost all white, and stumbles around cluelessly in his surrounding environment. I think of this white Taehyung as his inner subconscious, representing all of his feelings and desires at once, in blurs of indiscernible emotions. Next, Taehyung is asked about his parents. In the most heartbreaking way, he answers that he has none. But what's even more painful is that it didn't just hurt us. It hurt Taehyung to ignore that he didn't have a family, as we can see in the way his subconscious lurches around as if punched as soon as he replies. He is beyond pained by this, but he cannot let it show. We also see a quick flash of an eye, and in the pupil, there is a reflection of what seems to be an image of a mother and child. It may be Taehyung remembering his mother, who is strangely absent in all of the music videos, or this may just show that Taehyung loves his family no matter how much his father hurts him. Then he is on the floor, torn and in obvious pain. There is a quick flash of a phone booth, and it looks strikingly similar to the one we see Namjoon in during the Japanese Run MV, but without all of the graffiti. Another connection between the two. Then, we are transported to Taehyung's house, or at least what we are led to believe is some place like that. Now, he is dressed in all black. As Taehyung snuggles protectively with his sister, we see his father take a drink for a bottle of alcohol, further proving the point that his father is an alcoholic and strengthening the link between Taehyung and Franz Kromer. After his father drinks, we are transported to the present, where the interrogator is drinking from a water bottle. Taehyung looks away, showing that his father's alcoholism has become a touchy subject for him, and he can barely stand watching people drink anything. If he cannot bear to watch a man drink water, then why did he allow himself to drown? Taehyung whispers with his head down, and proves that his father abused both him and his beloved sister. Then, a song starts. It's a slow ballad, an apology to Taehyung's sister. A slow, painful, apology that wrenches the heart. Through the lyrics, Taehyung not only asks for forgiveness from his sister, but also from God, and from the forces of the world. He acknowledges these sins and his mistakes and asks for them to be washed away. There's a quick shot of the scuffle between Taehyung that caused his father's death in between. We can also see shots from the Danger MV, of Taehyung pressed against the mirror and cutting his hair. This proves the theory that Hyyh is indeed linked to Danger, as we saw before in previous Wings trailers with the image of a burning piano. At the very end, a cage falls upon Taehyung and the dog in his hands runs away. Taehyung is alone. This shows that he feels oppressed by his misdoings in his subconscious. (the dog also represents his innocence and when the dog leaves and he is trapped it shows how he has lost that innocence forever) He wants to be freed, but even the false hope that the dog gave him is gone now. All he wants is forgiveness. A line from Whalien 52 is shown. It's a line that Namjoon rapped, another connection between the two. The line may be a bit hard to link with the story of Stigma; it may be talking about Taehyung's disagreements with his father or the fact that he puts on the disguise of a bad boy to hide his inner conflicts. And the final ending, the biggest plot twist, the best part..Taehyung is asking for the call so that he can call Jin (or namjoon), the last of the members left alive. This means Stigma is a prequel to prologue, and that the blood Taehyung was covered in at the beginning of the music video may even be the blood of the interrogator. NOTE: In the MV for No More Dream, you can easily make out the word Stigma on the wall. Thanks for the reaction! 💜
Dude why are theorists so smart!! I thought I actually kinda knew everything but then AMAZING PEOPLE LIKE YOU PROVE ME WRONG THAT SONGS ALL THE WAY BACK FROM THE NO MORE DREAM ERA IS CONNECTED TO THE WINGS ERA!!
When I first listened all short films from Wings album and songs this was my fav and my sister's too, she even asked who sings and when I show her V's face she was like: how can this cute boy sing like that? It's amaizing. V's voice is really special, even classical musicians love his voice(from youtube)
Ahahahahahahaha I KNEW you would be caught off guard when you heard his voice here! I don’t know if you remember but when you first said that Tae was your bias and you loved his voice, we recommended Singularity and Stigma, his solo songs and said it really showcases his wide vocal range. And he indeed has the widest vocal range in bts. It’s stunning. I giggled like a maniac to your JungShook face 😂😂 Taehyung is the oldest of 3 in his family. One little brother and a little sister. He is very much family oriented and loves his siblings immensely . He expressed in an old vlive his sadness over how his brother hadn’t contacted him for so long and almost cried, how his sister had stopped calling him oppa and just says “yo” when she sees him.(though i cant remember if he was saying this as a joke or it really upset him, but i bet he has) we can only speculate that since he became a trainee at a young age the siblings kinda grew apart? Maybe since during the time he wrote this his siblings were teenagers and going through a rebellious age? I don’t know if they ever got closer again recently. Maybe they did? It might be about regret over having to leave them behind when he went to seoul or sth? Or it might be even more personal reasons or something that happened in his past. But he said explicitly that this song was very personal to him and never explained what it was about. So these are just theories. The chained phone booth is the one that namjoon had in a scene in run japanese mv( i think?) so yeah it’s a connection. And you’re right this video doesn’t reference anyone else other than namjoon (I interpreted it as him having no one else but namjoon, thus he always calls him when he’s in trouble) The japanese mvs for their songs usually have like extra scenes. When you get to blood sweat & tears, and the explanation video with Demian references (the mv is filled with them and something else you will link to this short film when you see it 😉) , watch blood sweat and tears japanese mv as well, it has an extra scene between jin and V and i think it’s important. Anyways, im glad you liked it. As always, i forgot to write something in this essay of mine, if i can remember it i will add it😌
I'm sorry BTS made you cry a lot. But in the future I know you will react LOVE YOURSELF Highlight Reel '起承轉結' ....... you will cry more than before. lol
People have already mentioned the Whalien 52 connection but I really want to highlight it because it really helps demonstrate how intricate this storyline is. Years after something seemingly outside of the storyline comes out, BTS will put something in a video or a lyric that references it and then you have to revisit the other thing and it takes on a whole new meaning and another layer of the story is revealed. Honestly, I’m such a nerd for lore and the BU is one of the most complex, detailed, and intricate storylines. It’s so artistic and beautiful. And I love that the way the story is told has evolved from being more literal in the HYYH era to being more dark and surreal in the Wings era and then back to literal but with a fantasy component in LY. Just the concept of the next album with the Jungian psychology makes me think it might go back to being more metaphorical again. Ugh. Sorry, I’ll stop. It’s just so beautiful and rich and thoughtful to me. I’m so so grateful you seem to really appreciate all of that. I didn’t cry for any of these stories except for First Love-But not the film, the song. It’s my favorite BTS song because of the narrative. It feels more like a spoken poem or something and really just had me mesmerized from start to finish. I’m excited for you to see it! And Awake made me cry because of what it was about and my Jin bias heart couldn’t take it. But it’s so so good. Excited for the rest of your journey!
Sierra Nicole thank you for your comment! 😊💜 I don’t know if your interested at all but since you said you’re a nerd for the lore and everything I’d love for you to check out a reaction I did with my friend Carlos. I introduce him to EXO and explain their storyline/concept to him (I’m still continuing to release our reactions to it kinda like I’m doing with BTS but for that one I’m doing it with someone else as well). Their storyline is based on fantasy rather than reality but it’s still very complex and like a puzzle just like BTS so I’m loving this whole thing. Anyway, I’d love to see if your interested or get your thoughts on this. Here is the link 🥰 : ua-cam.com/video/rJkneGs3elE/v-deo.html
The only thing close to the song’s lyrics (that I can think of) is when Tae briefly mentioned that he felt sorry that he never got to be around for his younger siblings as they grew up. (because he was 15 when he moved from Deagu to Seoul away from his family) But it still doesn’t make sense so that’s just pure speculation. 🤷♀️🙂 Thank you for the reaction! 💜
Yes Taehyung's voice is amazing and he has the largest vocal range out of the vocalists (you should check out "BTS V vocal range") and although Tae doesnt have many lines sometimes he has those parts in songs that hit you really hard for example :"Spring Day: My best friend" (that one hit me real hard) ,magic shop ,DNA etc. Just his voice makes the song more soulful in a way.
After short films list is: Live Triology III - Wings Tour Trailer Blood Sweat and Tears Blood Sweat and Tears (japanese ver.) The Highlight Reels 1-4 Euphoria Fake Love - Trailer 1 Fake Love Fake Love (extended ver.) Epiphany If you haven't yet, make sure you watch the japanese versions of Run and I Need You, they are totally different videos with lots of hints.
"Here there are only different whales that speak different languages" - it might be a reference to BTS' song "Whalien 52" who is known as the most loneliest whale as it has a frequency very different to other whales and hence no one hear them. The entire song and lyrics is awesome and RM also thanked Armys for receiving the 52 Hertz (frequency) at the LY tour in Hong Kong yesterday.
28:30 the nevermind written there has come up before with BTS, way back in 2014 when they were performing in MAMA they wrote nevermind on Jimin's chest (when he ripped his shirt and performed shirtless) along with Chinese characters saying fleeting youth so this was foreshadowing the HYYH era (I need you, Run and intro: nevermind). The 'to die will be an awfully great adventure' also written is a quote from Peter Pan which makes sense since a lot of the BTS storyline is about youth, fleeting youth and loss of innocence (and one of the storyline songs is called Young forever). Fun fact, the nevermind tattoo on Jimin recently came back again, at the end of 2018 when he was performing serendipity, when he puts his hand in his shirt it exposed the tattoo and people thought it was real, but I think it's gone again so perhaps it's a teaser for the upcoming album, where they tie stuff from the beginning
Fiha Rani no actually, the tattoo is still there and have been there for months now. Just look at yesterdays (hong kong concert) fancams. We kept seeing the tattoo after a photo of him in a tattoo parlor was surfaced. I’m 99% sure it is real. And i think it is the perfrct tattoo for jimin? Since he is such a harsh critic on himself and his past struggles and his perfectionist personality, just a reminder of “nevermind” on him might be the most meaningful tattoo for him. And he got it in the same font as that mama performance. And up until december we all thought it was for mama 10th year anniversary and maybe they would re-enact that iconic performance and no such thing happened, months after we see it on every show always in the exact same place with the exact same font. If it was for something it would be exhausting to draw it there everyday. So i think it’s real, and it’s very personal to him. Sorry for the long speech but it’s just my theory on this.😇
@@theindoorkites I love that tattoo and agree that its perfect for him. We first heard about the tattoo after they returned to Korea after the North American and European legs of the tour, and Jimin mentioned that he had his emotional 'epiphany' that led to Promise during the CitiField show. I think he got it as a reminder to keep fighting for himself, to keep going even when things seem dark. I love that Yoongi's song is helping him as much as it has helped us.
@@KiharuKitty I got so emotional during his Vlive when he mentioned about the dark times and his realisation at Citi Field, seeing the video where he was during it made so much sense once he explained it, he seems so much happier now like he's enjoying life
Oh my god the next one is First Love by Yoongi. I completely love this song and every time I listen I cry because the lyrics are so personal and the way that Yoongi put his emotions in the song really touch my heart.
S T I G M A IS MY MF SHIT SELFJKGNSLDKFJGNLDFKJG DLFKJ I LOSE MY MIND HEARING HIM SING STIGMA AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ok ily thank u for this ughughughguhgugh im spazzing i love him so much , ugh and sis i cried with u. love u bby. thank u for paying so much attn to this one it means everything to me. keep it up and i wish i could hug u!!!
Hey girl hey!! I just posted his habits video too! ;p Damn his voice totally shocked TF outta me!! Sooooo good! And that gaze of his..... damn man I just keep staring at his eyes hahahaha wtf xp
Even though Tae hasn't disclose what this song is about, I think its about his real younger siblings. In one of his 2017 VLive he said he isn't that close to them as he would like to (maybe since he was raised with his grandparents)...also, even if he seems as one of the happy virus of the group, he is actually a very sensitive person. He has a lot of pains but hides them from others.
srsly Taehyung vocal range is INSANE, that boy is a true vocal king his voice just kill me everytime. Stigma is one of my faves 💜💜 also he's a great actor, a multitalented king indeed 💜💜
I like the solos because you really get to see more of their vocal ability. Controversial ARMY-EXOL opinion coming up (don't hate me lol)... BTS is more known for rap line I think, and EXO has the vocals, if we have to compare. But BTS has vocals too! We just don't always see them in their title tracks (there are exceptions of course). I've always given rap to BTS, vocals to EXO, and dance to both, so they're both awesome in my book. But BTS really does have some amazing vocal ability and the world needs to see more of it! The Truth Untold makes me cryyyyyy... P.s. I love how emotional you are.
Hello Anitra! Thank you for your reaction video. It was really pleasant to watch. Taehyung is also my bias and I loved his voice since the very beginning. I adore deep voices, baritone voices and putting his looks aside (which is very difficult) his raw talent and his entire personality is captivating. The way I see it, this song relates to the fictional story line more than his real life. Yes he feels guilty sometimes for not being with his brother and sister and watch them grow but that feelings is not as harsh and painful as the song itself describes. In the fictional story, his stigma, is no only have killed the man (step-father) that was mistreating him and his sister, is also the fact that he let himself be guided by rage alone and didn't think of the consequences of his actions... now the only person that cared for his sister will be away from her, who's going to take care of her now? He doesn't feel guilty for have stabbed the man, he feels guilty for leaving his sister alone in a world he knows is cruel and unforgiven. He will have to live with the "stigma" of being a murderer and therefore, his sister will have to pay the price because she will have to carry on with her life by herself while being always pointed as the sister of a killer. Perhaps, the "stigma" is not about Tae, but his sister who carried the "stigma" of everthing that has happened. This is not really a theory, just my thoughts as I watched the videos for the first time. There are so many theories around but luckily everything will be clarified once you have the chance to read the webtoon. Thank you again and see you in another video!! :)
There’s a theory that in the alternate universe, his sister takes the blame for killing their stepdad, he feels guilt for that. Some people think the white puppy represents his innocent sister and he’s left in the cage. The song itself works very well with his storyline which is really clever of him considering it’s also very personal to him. He has younger siblings in real life so this song really does hit close to home when you think about what he could have written it about :(
i knew you'd cry at this one omg. anyway, i relate to this song a lot. i think the lyrics can fit into a lot of struggles. for me personally, it reminds me of how i feel about my sexuality. i grew up in a homophobic family so it just kind of hits there for me. especially the "i'm sorry, my sister." wow.
When you mentioned high notes in the beginning I was so excited for you to reach the bridge high notes and your reaction did not disappoint! The control he has over his voice is stunning.
Listening to Tae's deep and husky voice is like getting lost in the sea. I really hope he can release an R&B album one day because this music and Singularity (that is also his solo) are one of my fave BTS songs.
I wish we could tell you what the song is about, we know all the other members' personal stories about their songs, but Tae kept his a secret. Everyone thinks it's about his siblings, he's very much a family man, I don't know if it's in his habits but he's very close with his little siblings and cousins (so many videos, one cute one of him throwing around his little cousin and playing) but he doesn't get to see them much anymore because he chose idol life, if it is that I totally understand why he wouldn't say the meaning because his idol life is still going on and he still can't see them (the problem is still ongoing and there's nothing he could do about it unless he quits), it's like admitting a problem but not being able to fully solve it
Just so you know! The black frames with text are actually lyrics from other BTS songs, in this case it was lyrics from Whalien 52. It's a pretty sad song and is actually a song that V had cried while performing live. V never disclosed what the song is about, but I feel like this could be reference to how fame affects those close to them. BTS wasn't popular on debut so being associated with BTS could bear a certain "stigma." Fun fact: V was scratching the name Abraxis on that garage door, a god referenced in the book Demian.
Yay, I was so excited for this video and your reaction to the song was really the sweetest! But I feel kinda sorry that we're always making you go through this emotional roller coaster xD But don't worry, we're all in the same boat. Today, I just cried my eyes out at the newest webtoon chapter ^^' Hopefully, Tae's habits and dorky personality have cheered you up after this! Oh, and actually, it is not his stepfather that Tae stabbed in I Need U but his real father (which of course doesn't make things better). There were also references to two other members in this short film, but you will definitely recognize this when you watch the other films to come because you've already noticed the little details in this one :) It will definitely make more sense later!
I hope you see this. The clip of him cutting his hair is from their MV Danger. Which shows that they have been putting crumbs in videos before the Hyyh era.
I was re watching lol and wanted to mention that the white puppy symbolizes innocence and after the cage(probably representative of his crime or jail) comes down the puppy (innocence) leaves and is gone. Also, at this point in the timeline he was in jail for vandalizing and graffiti, not killing his father. Sidenote, the actor playing his sister is eternally blessed by a hug from Kim taehyung.
Everyone already went over the meaning of Stigma for V. This is by far in my top songs like of all time. I can't ever skip it. I know its meant towards his family, but as far as the real reason no one knows. What I like about this song is without lyrics it sounds like a sultry like baby making song, but then you listen to the words and its a completely different concept and that itself is an actual stigma. Something seeming like one thing and being completely different in actuality. I think it's like V a lot in that sense, he has this super sexy look, but then he's literally a ball of affectionate love. Also to mention it stings a little more when he says he doesn't have parents. Although in real life he has them, he was mainly raised by his grandma and when she passdd he took it extremely hard. Also to note, I cried with you so don't feel bad!! It's a harder video to watch lol
It’s a very personal song to him so he never really revealed it. But everyone believes it’s about his siblings and how he’s never around them especially because they’re still so young. He feels guilty that he can’t be there to watch them grow and be the big brother to guide them...yeah he’s a really great songwriter.
Let it flow girl...it hurts me to see u force urself not to cry...crying is liberating and comes with overwhelming feelings that we cant hold inside...so let ur tears flow in your face...that shows how sensitive u are and thats nothing wrong with it...send u love 😘😘😘
I know some people said they didn't specify his song but I thought they said he felt guilty for not being there for his younger siblings like a big brother should. And he felt guilty for being gone all the time (training) while they were growing up.
The storyline is not really based on the book Demian, however the barebones concept is, which is basically a young man's struggle between good and evil and the light and dark realm, a loss of childlike innocence (which I saw as the angelic puppy escaping the cage to symbolize Tae losing his innocence, but that's subject to interpretation). All of the actual backstory created for/by each member is original stories, but Namjoon uses quotes from Demian to kind of put you in the mindset of where the current story lies. If that makes sense. The lonely whale is a reference to a real life whale named the 52-hertz whale. He is one of a kind and as far as I know, still alive. The whale communicates at 52hz which is much higher than the frequency other whales who share his migration pattern communicate at (10-39hz) . Thus, this whale communicates in the sea but none of the other whales can hear him so he has no migration buddies and no partner. He is nicknamed the loneliest whale in the world... and BTS wrote a song about him named Whalien 52 which also kind of represents the loneliness teens and young adults often feel. Basically the reference in this short ties him to RM and means Tae is crying out for help but no one can hear him. (The actual song isn't about Tae's character, it was just a cool reference to their song in this particular short.) I just want to add I am loving this series, I appreciate the time you take to take in each aspect from the lyrics to the film to a live performance, you get a full range of emotions, you can see all of their acting skills, I feel like a lot of reactors are more interested in throwing up some generic BS for clicks but when I watch your videos I cry with you, I cheer for you when you are on the right path... I look forward to your videos every time.
@@saywhatreacts I just want to add, I was so impressed you heard the gunshot in Lie. I feel like we are about to learn what that was in the webcomic (I haven't gotten that far in The Notes book yet but I have my theories haha) but do you know how many ARMY missed that for a good while? People were just talking on twt about being "today years old" a few days ago when they heard it which is funny because I saw your video like the very next day and I was like... "how did she....". You really pay attention and that's awesome.
Look we all knew V had the biggest range before this song, but because he has the deepest voice of the vocalists (actually of the whole group as his is deeper than RM's when he's not all excited) so before this song he almost always did low parts. This was the song (and also on Blood Sweat and Tears on the same album) where he was like 'hey y'all want to hear my FULL range all in one song?' He doesn't do it here, but V also can make his voice super raspy and has the fiercest growl/sing you've ever heard. It comes out during lives more than studio versions but it breaths actual life into me
My biaass V!!! Tae's voice stands out as he is the only baritone with other 3 tenors in the vocal line, but he also has the widest vocal range of all the vocalist members. I really love your reaction btw, and I'm sorry for making you cry. :) Anyway, I've been praying for you to post this before weekend as I am out of town during the weekend and I don't want to miss your reaction to this.
I remember he said that he wants to create music which tell stories and make you feel emotions , after all people do go through these real life situations and he wanted to comfort them and tell they’re story through music . I’m not sure where it was , but he said something like that haha 😆
OOOOOKKKKKK😍 RM was watching the TAEYOUNG like father and was cheering by the curtain at this performance. The poor bulletproof boys are each other's father, other ........😶💜🍃 I know why you are.... WE SEE GOOD ANGEL BTS...V..😟💜🍃😕💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Bts memories of 2017 is the last Wings tour dates that they did, and this are videos which are part of the whole concert filmed by them. That’s why it has such good quality, it is not a fan cam.
omg i remember to this day how i bawled my eyes out at this, and all people reacting to it did was yell "PUPPY!!11!!1" and saying "this beat!that song must be good!this is my JAM" so dissapointing lol, some didnt even react to his high note (before the song was out and all and they watched this) its just...blew my mind. but YOU! you are one of the only people ive seen, who cried, just as much as i did xD thank you♥ for letting his voice and acting and just...him, into your heart, and touch your soul. im glad♥ that you like him and bts in generall and that you watch all of it not just for views, but you really observe, and understand, and FEEL things while doing so. im happy i found your channel! Btw, i think this song also represents his story line in the Mv´s, the abusive father, his mother dying at his birth, his sister getting beat up untill its too much, and v kills him. whats the personal part in this we can only speculate, but i also think he feels guilty, leaving his family behind to be an idol...and missing out on so much at home. (plus nowadays, since his grandma died and a close friend of his killed himself, he has been through a LOT. and all this pressure to be successfull, and not dissapoint army...i can only imagine. he is very strong. im always worried about him :( but he has his members, and so many friends, and support, and he is strong at heart, so its gonna be okay♥) his voice made him my bias in the first place, but also his cuteness, his love for art, his acting talent, and that hes just one of a kind. him being gorgeous was just the cherry on top tbh♥ his dancing and singing wouldve been enough to be my bias, but hes just so much more... thanks for appreciating him♥♥♥ love your channel!(: edit:i remember him saying he just focused on his singing in this, and yes lol, hes just way too gorgeous xD theres no need for this song to be flashy at all, his voice is enough. and yes it was live♥ cant wait for you to react to singularity and scenery at some point♥♥♥ Edit2: have to add this, i think i cried the most when the cage came down for him, and the puppy (i think symbolism for his happiness,or innocense idk) ran away, like...dont punish him, he only protected his sister :(( sighs... hes such an good actor, seriously... if you havent, check out hwarang, he is part of it and its a nice kdrama♥ he did amazing♥♥♥)
I've been watching your reactions for a little while but I only just subbed because I like to watch and get to know the person before doing so. As someone who's been in that situation, your reaction made me cry and what you said about always wishing we could do more.... that just made me cry even more. 😭😭 Anyway, love your reactions! EDIT: Not to mention Tae is one of my biases lol
I love your reaction, im a Tae stan so I agree with you he is an amazing singer and the wide vocal range on ts,please do more Tae related videos.Stigma is a really misterious song for army I think he is about his family and how he want to be more close to his brother and sister and some issues. Thanks for suport Tae he is the purest human and needs to be loved.
This song makes a lot of references to Taehyung story in the Bts universe if you see the short film, but he said that actually the lyrics refer to his personal life although he has never reveal the truth behind the song. Out of all seven of the members, V’s song is still an enigma
i love your reaction videos so much!! i love how much effort you put in to your format and making sure you understand everything and get the full experience! I check your channel every day to hoping to see a new bts reaction video and im so happy when i see a new one, keep up the amazing work!!
Oh, Suga has one double eyelid as well ^^ anyway I love your reactions! They are so real, like you are first reactor ever who is not ashamed to cry in front of the camera! Don't worry about crying, I feel you, I'm super emotional too. I was crying like a baby while reading the webtoon 😿 keep up great work! 💜
I love your reactions so much. You've pointed out things I've missed no matter how many times I've watched things. I also really, really love the format you're using to really explore every aspect of these songs/lyrics/videos/performances in-depth. I am so glad to have found your channel through your BTS reactions; your love and respect for art and artists is refreshing and heartwarming, always. I must confess I always interpreted this song as a sort of character study, in which Taehyung dives deep into this character he plays in the Bangtan Universe. He is such an artist at heart, and has a deep passion for storytelling and acting. The comments on this video make me not so sure about my initial interpretation, but I think it is that kind of ambiguity Taehyung hoped to preserve, so that people can build their own stories and connections to this song that means so much to him. Oh! I also believe that is his character's biological father in the music videos, rather than his step-father? I feel like I've seen somewhere (maybe the notes?) that he struggles with fears that his father's violence is in his own blood, too. In any case, I'm looking forward to continuing on this journey with you through your videos. All best wishes to you!
I’m OT7 but V is my ultimate bias. Im in love with his deep voice as well. Visual is a + ! Also, Stigma is my favorite track on Wings. 2nd is Awake and 3rd is Lie. 💜💜💜
BTW did you notice in 14:07 the wall he was scraping had a figure that had the word "Abraxas" on it I'm not great at explaining things, but Abraxas is a god that was mentioned in the book that RM's narrating at the beginning. I suggest you read it, "Demian", the storyline may (may) become clearer after that :)
💜 Again, another amazing video. You are really good at analyzing these things. xD Anyway to answer a question you had, yes their are references to two members in this video. You didn't pick up on them though because you haven't see their videos yet. So you don't know their symbols as of yet. Well you did kind of pick up on RM. The locked phone booth was a brilliant move on Bighits part. It not only perfectly symbolized V's inability to call for help, both in the past & at that moment. But also connects him to the person he eventually does try to call. =] 💜 💜 So next up is My Bias Suga. I must warn you, you may also need tissues for this video as well. An just to give you a little info on his song, it was written about his Piano. =] It's pretty emotional. He even goes back an forth between speaking as himself & as his piano. I really do love this song. The emotion in it, his live performance & his short wings video. So I really can't wait. xD Gah! 💜 Edit: 💜 Oh an can't wait for the Bonus video tomorrow. Whoot! x3 💜
Tae's voice is magical! It does things to you lmao. Just put on your headphones, put on Singularity/Scenery and close your eyes. I maintain that Singularity is one of the best 'baby making' songs. Watching him performing it Live (and I'm not exaggerating) will take your breath away. I saw the puppy escaping as a depiction of him losing his childlike innocence and maturing. But he's still trapped with his fears and insecurities. In the story after having to put up with the violence and seeing it repeat over and over and taking action. In real life, after all the crap they went through he grew up. From the goofy, carefree, childish V he matured into someone who thinks a lot. He doesn't carelessly talk anymore, he's more broody, intense. I mean, this happens to all of us - we just mature with time. In Demian, Abraxas is a God that is supposed to be a representation of both the good and bad. It's also a variation of a Greek word that was inscribed on amulets and charms. You can see V inscribing the word on the shop shutter in the beginning of the short film.
Stigma unlike the other songs hasn't been explained much all we know (based on from what namjoon and Tae have said) is that it's about something personal. Three main theories that I hear about a lot are: 1. It's about his character (this one I find hard to believe because everybody else's songs are about personal stories and also his character doesn't seem to have a brother). - proof: his character is guilty of murder and the characters sister paid for his crime in the story line. So that matches the lines "You who was punished in my stead". 2. Its about him leaving his younger siblings to pursue his career. Guilt or not feeling like a good big brother who is always with his siblings. (We know based on a vlive that a few years ago he didn't contact his brother for a long-ish time for some unknown reason and he was sad about it). - proof: the song is talking about a younger brother and sister which he has and how he feels sorry and how they might be crying?? And somebody he was talking to/fighting with (possibly one of his siblings) told him: "Forget it, what right do I have. To tell you to do this, or that". 3. It's about his struggle with sexuality. This is the most common one on Twitter. - proof: (I spend most of my time on Twitter and saw tons of threads talking about this so I know more about this theory so this one will be longer. Sorry) ● The song talks about revealing something he was hiding. Something that was hurting him to hide but he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. It was also something he even if he can hide it he cannot erase. ● theres a conversation going on in the song Person A: Stop crying, tell me something. Try saying to me, who had no courage. Person B: Why did you do that to me then? Person A: I'm sorry. Person B: Forget it, what right do I have. To tell you to do this, or that Person A: I'm sorry my brother even if I try to hide it or conceal it, it cannot be erased. Are you calling me a sinner? Person B: what more do I have to say? ● He talks about his sins alot. And how he wants to be punished for them. Lots of homophobic religious people believe homosexuality is a sin. There are other less popular theories out there but these are the three main ones I see all the time. Although until he explains (if he ever will explain) we'll never know I think that theory 2 and 3 make the most sense (I'm not trying to assume his sexuality. It's just a theory).
V did comment, I think it was on "Burn the Stage," that he imagined the pain of being cut over and over until you become accustomed to it and need the pain.
You remember the I need u mv right? Remember he killed the guy with a glass beer bottle. The feeble you received was telling you that he was weak and couldn't fight back. The guy he killed was his father and he's sorry for his crime. His father was abusive towards him and his sister. ( In the story line not in real life lol) So basically he had enough of the abuse that he broke and killed him. In this song he's saying sorry to his sister and brother for his crime.
Watching you reacting at it makes me emotional too even though I countless times watched this too haha. Stigma is really deep next to Lie but still it's part of the story line. I think Stigma refers from what happened in I Need U of course it all starts there. I think he's referring to his member when he says sorry my brother and for this sister from the Info Need U when he killed his father something like that. Anyway that's my theory haha. It's all deep. Like his voice haha.
The white puppy represents the last of his “innocence” because of his crime. He feels like a bad person now because of the stabbing...like the last bit of his “good” self went away. You will see later in another short film about the mother/baby silhouette which actually ties in with V’s situation and another’s (of course their own situations). Oh and also references the book Demian. Lastly, you are correct about the phone call to RM like V did in Prologue video.
There is a theroy about what this song means, and you can choose to belive it or not, since ther is nothing more nor nothing less exlpaning this song: As mentioned Tae has a younger brother and sister, he many times looked extrmeley sad on camera mentioning his siblings since he is a big family boy. The theroy is that he feels guilty for leaving his siblings for his career, for not being there for them during the time they grow up. His grandma (who partially raised him) also died during his absence from home so I personally believe this theory, since I also moved far from my family for my career and I have a younger sibling who I rarely see and a sick grandma who I love more than anything, yet I am not there for them and step by step we grow apart ...and that is their punishment for my crime of leaving them.
You are so adorable, very easy to cry. 😅 There are references of other members in the video, the woman holding a child and the phone booth, also I think the painting on the garage door too, you will find out after you watch the remaining members.
Absolutely loved this. I have been following your journey with BTS and I absolutely LOVE IT. I am listening to your own predictions and i am realizing different things i havent noticed before. I hope you like their story line. Bighit has already been releasing episodes on an app called webtoon that is going through the whole storyline all the way from the beginning. Maybe after your done with everything involving their storyline in their videos, you can read the webtoon after?
ahh yes!! i have been waiting for this reaction and you didnt disappoint haha, the quote "please dry my eyes" was especially meaningful while you were crying :D i hope you enjoyed V's habits after this (pretty sure you did) now i cant wait for you to react Singularity live but i am not sure you are ready for it yet (esp red&blue haired V! XD), it gets better and better with every concert its crazy! if you think his stare is enough to make you go "wow" wait till you watch Singularity, he is such a great actor
You are such a sweetheart in your reaction. I first saw your reactions to DPR Ian, which I loved, and now I found out you also reacted to my bts bias. Two gems 💖💖
She aint ready for Singularity.......live.....
Lol. I wonder what's her reaction 😅
@Lu 852 😅😅lol
nope SHE'S NOTTTTTTT
Unfortunately he never revealed what the true back story of this song was. He just said that it was personal to him.
He is right, it should remain personal, whatever happened.
I thought they said he felt guilty for leaving his younger siblings all the time. Feeling guilty for not being there for them as a big brother and being gone so much.
@@blackmane134 i'm pretty sure it's just fan theories. He never said what the song was about
According to the webtoon his dad was abusive to his sister and he murdered his dad and went to jail.
Edit: oh she already knew oops sorry 😓
@@qualityname2055 that's the FICTIONAL story about his character. The others are talking about Tae as a real person
Tae has the largest range of all the BTS vocalists he covers 3 octaves and 4 notes. Its a secret what this song is about Tae has never said. We think hes talking to his real life brother and sister but nothing is positive.
But his hightnotes are mostly vibrato in his notes.
I think he only has a sister and the “brother” is his abusive dad?
Ling Ling Taehyung has a younger brother and sister and I think he is referencing to both of them
he never specific what is that song about even namjoon said that tae must have his secret story about it, he has 2 younger siblings a brother and a sister i really would like to know what is that song about. Stigma is an enigma lol
Alejandra Fragoso Marín SuJu,TVXQ/JYJ&2PM
In BU he only has a sister (pretty sure) and there’s an abusive father and murderers him. It!s called Save Me
BU is BTS Universe
Idk what the song means to him personally though
I guess he could have younger siblings back at his farm with the rest of his family but he only showed he had cousins there right?
@@qualityname2055 they were talking about Tae's actual siblings. He has a younger brother and sister in real life
@@WE__BTS ahhhhhhh thx lol I'm too stupid.
Yesss that means v's habits are coming out next.
It’s around 2am for me so I’ve gotta go to bed but I’ll have it up tomorrow for sure! 😊💜
the more you react to v's live stages you will realize that he not only sings songs but he also acts them out on the stage equally well.
that line now there are only different whales speaking different languages is supposed to represent lonely whale/kim taehyung trying to communicate their thoughts in hopes of reaching to someone.it is a reference from their earlier song whalien 52 one of my most favorite bts songs.
IT'S YOU☺💜

appu5_93 Thank you for this amazing comment! 😊💜
I giggled like a maniac to your JungShook face 😂😂
Taehyung is the oldest of 3 in his family.
And you’re right this video doesn’t reference anyone else other than namjoon (I interpreted it as him having no one else but namjoon, thus he always calls him when he’s in trouble)
The japanese mvs for their songs usually have like extra scenes.
As always, i forgot to write something in this essay of mine, if i can remember it i will add it😌
The Indoor Kites my Jungshook face... hahaha love it?😜😲😍💜
I’m pretty sure he never revealed what this song is about he said it’s private
V's voice is an ocean. Deep and soothing, very calm and composed. But when he wants to, he can go for notes as high as the waves during a hurricane!
I'm sorry BTS made you cry a lot. But in the future I know you will react LOVE YOURSELF Highlight Reel '起承轉結' ....... you will cry more than before. lol
True and queen has not heard ephipany shell need like a whole roll of tissues for that
Taehyung is baritone so he can go from very low range to very high range i love his voice tone too💜
every army and i can guarantee that every army was shocked when they first heard v belting those high notes.
I don’t know if your interested at all but since you said you’re a nerd for the lore and everything I’d love for you to check out a reaction I did with my friend Carlos.
Thank you for the reaction! 💜
We’re sorry Anitra we have your back but we only have conspiracies about the meaning
Yes, Tae can reach those notes lower than the ocean and higher than the clouds

Sorry for the long speech but it’s just my theory on this.😇
@@theindoorkites I would love it if it were real, I proper freaked out when I first saw it
@@theindoorkites I love that tattoo and agree that its perfect for him.

Stigma is one of my faves 💜💜
also he's a great actor, a multitalented king indeed 💜💜
BTS wasn't popular on debut so being associated with BTS could bear a certain "stigma."
Fun fact: V was scratching the name Abraxis on that garage door, a god referenced in the book Demian.
I told you already, Taehyung’s high notes are no joke 😂
Lmfao you called me out. I was totally still looking at Tae at 32:20 .... The man can hold anyone prisoner with just his gaze what the actual fuck.
He sang it live especially the highnote part it's so good
I really love how you are going with these reactions from the lyrics to the short films to the stage performance. It links everything so well
The storyline is not really based on the book Demian, however the barebones concept is, which is basically a young man's struggle between good and evil and the light and dark realm, a loss of childlike innocence (which I saw as the angelic puppy escaping the cage to symbolize Tae losing his innocence, but that's subject to interpretation).
(The actual song isn't about Tae's character, it was just a cool reference to their song in this particular short.)
I just want to add I am loving this series, I appreciate the time you take to take in each aspect from the lyrics to the film to a live performance, you get a full range of emotions, you can see all of their acting skills, I feel like a lot of reactors are more interested in throwing up some generic BS for clicks but when I watch your videos I cry with you, I cheer for you when you are on the right path... I look forward to your videos every time.
kaerwyn Awwwww thank you so much! That means a lot 🥰💜
You really pay attention and that's awesome.
kaerwyn thank you! I’m trying haha 😜💜
V absolutely killed this
His storyline was my favourite
He has the best vocal range (really high - really low)
His acting is just amazing too 😭🔥
Look we all knew V had the biggest range before this song, but because he has the deepest voice of the vocalists (actually of the whole group as his is deeper than RM's when he's not all excited) so before this song he almost always did low parts. This was the song (and also on Blood Sweat and Tears on the same album) where he was like 'hey y'all want to hear my FULL range all in one song?'
He doesn't do it here, but V also can make his voice super raspy and has the fiercest growl/sing you've ever heard. It comes out during lives more than studio versions but it breaths actual life into me
yeah... I religiously watch the Lotte family concert performance of anpanman bc he growls so deliciously during that one part 👀
My biaass V!!! Tae's voice stands out as he is the only baritone with other 3 tenors in the vocal line, but he also has the widest vocal range of all the vocalist members. I really love your reaction btw, and I'm sorry for making you cry. :) Anyway, I've been praying for you to post this before weekend as I am out of town during the weekend and I don't want to miss your reaction to this.
he didn't reveal about the song even rm ask him but he didn't ask further
but rm said he did write it with meaning some members ask but he dodge it
I remember he said that he wants to create music which tell stories and make you feel emotions , after all people do go through these real life situations and he wanted to comfort them and tell they’re story through music . I’m not sure where it was , but he said something like that haha 😆
OOOOOKKKKKK😍
RM was watching the TAEYOUNG like father and was cheering by the curtain at this performance.
The poor bulletproof boys are each other's father, other ........😶💜🍃
I know why you are....
WE SEE GOOD ANGEL BTS...V..😟💜🍃😕💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
taehyung has the BEST vocal range of bts. he can hit very low and very high.
also i don't know if you knew this but taehyung really loves jazz music which is why he went for this kind of song
Bts memories of 2017 is the last Wings tour dates that they did, and this are videos which are part of the whole concert filmed by them. That’s why it has such good quality, it is not a fan cam.
I can't wait for you to watch Reflection 😩
omg i remember to this day how i bawled my eyes out at this, and all people reacting to it did was yell "PUPPY!!11!!1" and saying "this beat!that song must be good!this is my JAM" so dissapointing lol, some didnt even react to his high note (before the song was out and all and they watched this) its just...blew my mind. but YOU! you are one of the only people ive seen, who cried, just as much as i did xD thank you♥ for letting his voice and acting and just...him, into your heart, and touch your soul. im glad♥ that you like him and bts in generall and that you watch all of it not just for views, but you really observe, and understand, and FEEL things while doing so. im happy i found your channel!
(plus nowadays, since his grandma died and a close friend of his killed himself, he has been through a LOT. and all this pressure to be successfull, and not dissapoint army...i can only imagine. he is very strong. im always worried about him :( but he has his members, and so many friends, and support, and he is strong at heart, so its gonna be okay♥) his voice made him my bias in the first place, but also his cuteness, his love for art, his acting talent, and that hes just one of a kind. him being gorgeous was just the cherry on top tbh♥ his dancing and singing wouldve been enough to be my bias, but hes just so much more... thanks for appreciating him♥♥♥ love your channel!(:
edit:i remember him saying he just focused on his singing in this, and yes lol, hes just way too gorgeous xD theres no need for this song to be flashy at all, his voice is enough. and yes it was live♥
cant wait for you to react to singularity and scenery at some point♥♥♥
Edit2: have to add this, i think i cried the most when the cage came down for him, and the puppy (i think symbolism for his happiness,or innocense idk) ran away, like...dont punish him, he only protected his sister :(( sighs... hes such an good actor, seriously... if you havent, check out hwarang, he is part of it and its a nice kdrama♥ he did amazing♥♥♥)
Snow Melody Awwww thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot! 🥰💜
Barbara Thank you girl! I appreciate it and you! 😊💜
@@saywhatreacts Aww thank you! And you're very welcome!! 😊
Thank you girl! :)
I’m OT7 but V is my ultimate bias. Im in love with his deep voice as well. Visual is a + ! Also, Stigma is my favorite track on Wings. 2nd is Awake and 3rd is Lie. 💜💜💜
BTW did you notice in 14:07 the wall he was scraping had a figure that had the word "Abraxas" on it
I'm not great at explaining things, but Abraxas is a god that was mentioned in the book that RM's narrating at the beginning.
💜 So next up is My Bias Suga. I must warn you, you may also need tissues for this video as well. An just to give you a little info on his song, it was written about his Piano. =] It's pretty emotional. He even goes back an forth between speaking as himself & as his piano. I really do love this song. The emotion in it, his live performance & his short wings video. So I really can't wait. xD Gah! 💜
Edit: 💜 Oh an can't wait for the Bonus video tomorrow. Whoot!
This was everything I needed this morning!! I was looking forward to you reacting to the high notes and it was EVERYTHING I expected haha!
Taehyung's voice is so beautiful 💕💕💕
This is my favorite reaction of you about them so far 💜
Stigma unlike the other songs hasn't been explained much all we know (based on from what namjoon and Tae have said) is that it's about something personal.
Three main theories that I hear about a lot are:
- proof:
(I spend most of my time on Twitter and saw tons of threads talking about this so I know more about this theory so this one will be longer. Sorry)
● The song talks about revealing something he was hiding. Something that was hurting him to hide but he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. It was also something he even if he can hide it he cannot erase.
● theres a conversation going on in the song
Person A: Stop crying, tell me something. Try saying to me, who had no courage.
Person B: Why did you do that to me then?
Person A: I'm sorry.
Person B: Forget it, what right do I have. To tell you to do this, or that
Person A: I'm sorry my brother even if I try to hide it or conceal it, it cannot be erased.
OMG I'm waiting for this 😍😍😍😍
Thank you thank you thank you 💜
You better get a lot of tissues for Sugas song even i cry when i hear it most of the time
Good job on catching the chained up phone booth that comes into play again.
V did comment, I think it was on "Burn the Stage," that he imagined the pain of being cut over and over until you become accustomed to it and need the pain.
He is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo charismatic
You remember the I need u mv right? Remember he killed the guy with a glass beer bottle. The feeble you received was telling you that he was weak and couldn't fight back. The guy he killed was his father and he's sorry for his crime. His father was abusive towards him and his sister. ( In the story line not in real life lol) So basically he had enough of the abuse that he broke and killed him. In this song he's saying sorry to his sister and brother for his crime.
Your reaction is so relatable. I was getting teary watching you 💜
Watching you reacting at it makes me emotional too even though I countless times watched this too haha.
Thanks for your efforts~ Enjoy the BTS journey ~
I live for you fangirling
The white puppy represents the last of his “innocence” because of his crime. He feels like a bad person now because of the stabbing...like the last bit of his “good” self went away. You will see later in another short film about the mother/baby silhouette which actually ties in with V’s situation and another’s (of course their own situations). Oh and also references the book Demian. Lastly, you are correct about the phone call to RM like V did in Prologue video.
There is a theroy about what this song means, and you can choose to belive it or not, since ther is nothing more nor nothing less exlpaning this song:
As mentioned Tae has a younger brother and sister, he many times looked extrmeley sad on camera mentioning his siblings since he is a big family boy.
I've never cried to this video. There's a first for everything! Darn it!
Why did you assume he'd call RM???? theres no hints he would! You're so crazy. I love it.
I've been watched your videos for a while, I just wanna say that you are so sweet ! :)
v kim awwww thank you 😊💜🥰
waiting on the habits video! im excited 💜💜
Some BTS MV make people cry like baby and I m one of these people 😭😭😭😭
I am surprised by his voice tbh 😳 I have heard lines in songs very little so a full song is taking me fully by surprise 😳
He said in a live that his brother and sister don't call him . And he looked so sad but this was like two years ago so I hope the are good today.
the phone booth has sense when you see namjoon's (RM) short film ;) hehehe looking forward to this
You are so adorable, very easy to cry. 😅
There are references of other members in the video, the woman holding a child and the phone booth, also I think the painting on the garage door too, you will find out after you watch the remaining members.
I just love your reactions. Seriously. You've got a new subscriber. Thank you for exploring more of BTS and thank you for just being you!
Awwww thank you girl! :)
ahh yes!! i have been waiting for this reaction and you didnt disappoint haha, the quote "please dry my eyes" was especially meaningful while you were crying :D i hope you enjoyed V's habits after this (pretty sure you did)
now i cant wait for you to react Singularity live but i am not sure you are ready for it yet (esp red&blue haired V!
Two gems 💖💖
💕💕💕
