    Thank you that this series was not all about themes. Everyone is so thankful to you that you weren't about style and more about the in depth knowledge. You are great

    This set of tutorials is still relevant, godammit!
    Nice work!
    Would you consider do a thorough analysis of the Umami theme? I've been exploring it and it's worth more attention than the one it's getting.
    Seems like a developer thing - create a good project but not documenting os showing whats on the creator's minds.
    I'm looking forward to seeing your plethora of videos.

      Hi, glad you like these videos ;) However, I can pretty much say with 99.999% certainty that I will not be doing anymore Drupal videos. While creating this series I have really grown to hate Drupal :) ... and I don't wan't to have anything to do with it anymore. Of course once the Drupal 9 drops I will take a look at it, but I doubt I will make any more videos about it. Sorry to disappoint. If you want a nice developer friendly CMS take a look at October CMS. I have a huge series about it on the channel. ua-cam.com/play/PLUBR53Dw-Ef-X-_A1KLy41r2QArCBy4rM.html it's much better than Drupal IMO.

      Watch and Learn yeah, I’m returning to drupal for a project that I think is well suited for it. If the idea was to build a more personal, less data driven website, I’d rather use textpattern, Jekyll, or Hugo. I’ve noticed there’s less enthusiasm for drupal nowadays, Lynda.com doesn’t even offer a full fledge tutorial for drupal 8. Ands it’s very hard to find videos on the internet on more advanced topics... I’ll have a look on your October CMS videos as soon as the pressure dissipates.

    This is a GREAT series! Excellent workflow and demonstrations! Are you planning on doing Drupal 8 Module development? Would love to see your workflow for that!

      +Jay Volk Glad you like the videos Jay. Unfortunately I won't be doing module development since I'm not a programmer, I'm a frontend developer, so that would be a bit much for me :) .

    The videos series are very useful, I learnt a lot with them. Thank you for release these videos.
    There is a way to install easily the zurb foundation theme in the appearance section.
    It is possible to create a subtheme using zurb foundation as a base theme, isn’t it?
    Compass css framework help us a lot. For instance, it help us to avoid to deal with vendor prefixes, and other useful things, isn’t it?
    Could you tell me, or add a video tutorial, how to add compass to a sub theme using zurb foundation as a base theme?
    This would be very useful, isn't it?
    I can’t find a downloable version of compass, to add in my ‘sass_dir’ directory in the subtheme directory, like you have shown us in the video with foundation.css. The way to install compass is with RubyGem

    • @WatchandLearnTutorials
      @WatchandLearnTutorials  8 років тому

      +010salwa You would include Bootstrap the same way you would include Foundation. There shouldn't be any difference.

      +TheRealHacky I have tried to add the foundation.js directly into the "X.libraries.yml" but it doesn't work. Can you show up how I import a js framework into durpal 8 theme ?

    already, wants to know, you must ALWAYS create a custom theme for modify css?, you cant override the css and reuse one downloaded theme?

    • @WatchandLearnTutorials
      @WatchandLearnTutorials  8 років тому

      Of course you can. Drupal even supports child themes.

    • @WatchandLearnTutorials
      @WatchandLearnTutorials  8 років тому +1

      No, I never did that, I'm not much in favour of using pre-built themes, just google it, it shouldn't be that hard to find how to use child themes.
