1998 Cummins 200 at IRP - Sprague Wrecks Hornaday + Finish

Under 25 laps to go back when IRP had to have grandstands from turn 3 to turn 2, another chapter in the rivalry of Jack Sprague and Ron Hornaday. Sprague makes contact with Hornaday, ending Hornaday's chances at a win. Hornaday makes his way to the Hendrick pits to say his piece. After that incident, Dennis Setzer washes up into Sprague for the lead and spins. DEI driver Sprague goes on to win under the mixed emotions of the crowd. The late Tony Roper and USAR Hooters Pro Cup racer Lonnie Rush Jr both scored their only career top 5 that night. 1998 Cummins 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Clermont, Indiana, July 30, 1998.
