Wow, my people are from SC and I never knew the history and culture was that rich. I moved away and corrected my dialect because I was ashamed of being referred to as Geechee. This video has instilled pride in my heritage and makes me want to know more.

Beautiful history, all beautiful and all to be eventually forgotten if these documentaries do not continue. The Gullah are wise people and link lineage to Shem so I feel. The Lord knows his people whether grafted in or not. Yah bless the true Israel and Judah. Yah Bless our community's of Gullah Geeche. St.Simon Island ❤ born and raised.

I as a kid was taught that yhis was omly a lazy spoken english and now lime 30 years later by searching my family line I find that this actually is a language and even better yet im a part of it... so im going to learn this language as it originally sounded I want to know the writing I want to know the tone and sound of it this is going to my main language english is now my second.

( old English is 1500 years old so if they spoke old English then the new yorkers might have something if u where English / a colonist / and or a European... self included. tell us some stories about ur tribe I would love to hear that story....

I remember living in SC, and seeing the gullah people weaving baskets, and not really understanding why they were considered gullah and not black. .. then I heard them speak and couldn't understand. I was around 3rd grade or so....
Now as an adult I have learned a bit more and understand more. I love learning about the history, culture of the people that came before black Americans. I'm considered black American, but my dad did a geology test and is more than 70% African... I just wish we had more information. unlike other races it's harder to find out where exactly we come from.
Nevertheless, I enjoy reading about Africans, islanders etc I know my roots are in there somewhere.

Yea, them Hamites and Arabs did our ancestors worse then the so-called white man. We spent over a thousands years fleeing across Africa warring, being taken advantaged of, our women raped and sold to African and Arab traders, our brothers castrated and killed. Similarly to how we learned all of the so-called white mans ways, so did we learn them African and Arab ways. All for rejecting YHWH, has all this mass confounding come upon us. Most of us romanticize a strange love for our enemies ways.
