    I agree with you about the grip! I have felt it firsthand. I change my grip for different shot shapes and most people say I'm crazy and going to be inconsistent. Absolutely amazing videos! P.S. about hitting it straight-ish I found Bryson's end-range rotation technique of the left arm (removing 90 degrees of closure) to take the most side-spin off and the only way I have ever hit a zero sidespin shot, within a fraction of a degree of path.

    This was an extremely helpful video. I’m a 9 handicap. 26 years old. I used to have a weak grip and swung out to in like most amateurs… struggling with weak shots fading or slicing off to the right… this past 2 years I’ve spent countless hours of research and practice shallowing my path and changed to a stronger grip with the “v” of my right hand thumb and pointer going up to my trail armpit. Not overly strong, just strong/neutral.
    Now, I never slice my irons. Always draw… but lately, I’ve been struggling with PULLING my irons. I will hit half nice draws 10-12 feet left, but half pulls that move 40 feet left…
    Do I most likely need to adjust my impact position feeling like I hold off more at impact so my face angle Isn’t negative? Or do I neutralize/ weaken my grip?
    Or do I try to get a little more steep in my backswing to adjust my path?
    Thanks

      Hi Jacob, first move your ball “2 balls” back in your stance and see if this remedies your problem. If it does, replace your ball back in the normal position and watch my “leg action videos” and you will fix your pull draw. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊

    Do you have a view on grip thickness and how it might effect face angle or the ability to take an appropriate grip to overcome face angle issues. Thanks.

      I think grip thickness should only represent the size of hands and not this fallacy grips thicker will take hand action out the equation. Fix the error not layer another sticky aid on top. In my honest opinion Sir. Many thanks for the question! 😊

    So, if I understood correctly. What you are advocating is to determine the bend for the day from first couple of shots and then simply allow for the bend for that particular day until the face/path angle diminishes itself over time.
    Strict no no is to try to hit straight by manipulating the face delivery.
    Hope I got your message right?

      Yes this spot on; hitting straight is an absolute fools game 🤨🤩

    Watching this video is going to help me today. I use a strong grip. I am not open or shut at the horizontal takeaway position but at the top of my backswing my wrist cups therefore on the downswing and at impact the face strikes the ball open to path resulting in a slice??

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Рік тому

      This sounds about right Daraius! Keep the shape of the wrist angle, with a good grip, a draw will be yours my friend!

    Is it possible with woods to have a shut clubface in the backswing? How is it different from irons ?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Рік тому +1

      Hi Steve - absolutely possible to have a shut clubface in your backswing but to be honest, it’s 1 in 10, most are too open. Hope that answers your question?
