Fun Fact: Katie Featherston who played Katie (yes they played themselves) said that the first 2 movies the dialogue was completely improvised for the entirety of the first 2 films. And when there were scenes at night they would stay up all night shooting those scenes
Not even gonna lie, this sounds like so much fun to film. Improv, you’re with people you kinda already vibe with, you just know the very little bits of it and that’s it.
Yes, the sister was mentioned in the first one. When the demonologist comes and talks to Katie, she says that her and her sister were always woken up at night and they would see a black figure at the end of their beds.
YES!! WATCH THEM ALL! PLEEEEEEEEASE! EVERY movie is a piece of the whole story about Katie and Kristie. And the story is long, stretching all the way back to…… well.. you’ll see 😏
One thing I really like about this series is they come up with somewhat logical reasons for the paranormal activity to be filmed. We find out in this one that Micah got the camera bug from Kristi's husband, so when weird stuff started happening at their house it makes sense he would go out and get a camera. The break in in this movie causes them to get security cameras. In the next movie one of the characters is a videographer and has all the film equipment, so when things seem weird it makes sense that they would set up cameras to film it. I just like that the motivation makes sense and the movies actually give reasons for the filming other than "hey welcome to my ghost vlog."
The “rumble” that you hear in the audio is the volume being turned up loud so you can hear every tiny noise. There’s no sounds happening so you’re hearing the dead air. It also makes the jump scares loud and terrifying. 😂 Another great movie and reaction!
It's not simply a volume change. It's a low frequency interference caused by the entity whenever it manifests. It's too low and faint to be picked up by those living in the house but it gets picked up by their audio equipment.
I remember watching this and paying attention to the photos on the stairs and in one of the nights some of the pictures are switched it’s crazy how subtle it is
@@the-NightStar well that’s your opinion and that’s fine I don’t love this franchise I like it. I just have more traumatizing memories with the third movie compared to the others.
This series is so captivating because it drip feeds you an entire set of lore and such a perfect suspenseful pace. These movies always feel to me like a perfect example of the difference between horror where it feels like there are ways out and horror where you know there's not. I don't actually know how many movies there are now but I've seen the first 5 and while the first 3 are the primary story and the other 2 I saw mostly just played around within the established lore those 2 were still interesting and added at least something small to the bigger picture of it all.
This is the shit that makes horror interesting to me: MYSTERY!!! Paranormal Activity has an overal story that allows you to figure out what's going on. Same with easter eggs and such Hereditary and Jordan Peel movies. Everything done has an intent and meaning. The librarian in the movie It grinning in the background is the type of scene I like, not just blatant jump scares all the time.
I remember watching this I was 18 or 19 (I’m 31 on the 27th for reference) with my friend at her house, she had two kids a little boy and a little girl both 3 and under. We were sat in her living room while the kids were in bed and just as everything got crazy on screen her sons toy fire truck set itself off and moved a good 8-10 inches while the sirens went off. I’ve never screamed so loud in my whole life i still don’t know what set it off but it made the movie way scarier than it actually was 😂😂
I can’t believe I never catched katies sister husband doing the ritual to transfer the demon to Katie wtf omg 😱😱 The third one is the best for me, it seriously traumatized me but it ties everything together Katies and Hunter’s whereabouts you’ll see in the 4th Paranormal Activity movie if you’re curious to know
In the 1st movie Katie told the psychic that came to her house about what happened to her since Age 8 yrs old that she's been having experiences since she was young and Kristy 5 yrs old saw it too. Remember their childhood home burned down? Remember that burnt picture of Katie they found it in the attic over the bed? They connected these movies. Thank you for this video. I enjoyed the jump scares with you. Peace.🤗😊🤯
I'm looking very forward to your reaction to number 3 and The Marked Ones in particular. I'm going to keep my mouth shut but trust me, you're going to love them
Just love your reactions so much!! The third one will go into what happened with the girls in their childhood, I remember I enjoyed that one as well. Thank you for always blessing us with horror content pretty much all year round 🥰 It's my favourite genre so I'll always be here watching and recommending if I can haha!
Man, the attic photo in the first one completely got me into this series. I cant say why but that brief bit just got me. Its surprising how well the momentum is kept up in each film. i saw NOK recentoy and loved it. I loved 4 best and then Next of Kin.

19:47 Your reaction to this whole scene had me in tears from laughing! 😂😂 The first six movies are all related (only the seventh - Next of Kin - is a stand alone). The fourth movie has a few good parts and I personally think the fifth - The Marked Ones - is a lot better, up there with the first two. The sixth one, though… that one is questionable, lol.
Found you from your reaction to the first movie not long ago and glad to see you're enjoying it! You definitely gotta watch more of this! It's not just the first 3 that are connected.
