Had several jobs but that’s all they were, jobs. Then I got it together, worked hard and got MY dream job. Then effed up and it was gone. Last 19 years have sucked. So, if you are lucky enough to have your dream job, don’t F it up. I have the same advice for relationships. If you’re lucky enough to find the perfect partner don’t F it up, you’ll regret it for a long, long time. Don’t ask me how I know!

Not going to ask, but you can always restart, reset and do something else

      F. W. ; I did 15 years at a job I grew to hate which in turn made me unbearable even to the woman I loved. Now 4 years into being a full time caregiver for my 87 yo mom with dementia it’s very difficult and no social time available if you know what I mean. But she took care of me soooo. Ok, enough crying in my milk. When mom joins dad I’ll reset and restart in a toy hauler with my Harley inside.

I hear you, I paused my life for a little over 2 years in my early 20's to help my mom care for my cancer stricken father who passed away, no regrets.

    Archie with the wise words!
I chased money in the filed I went to school for, and eventually became disillusioned with it. Now I'm working at a job I never thought I would have done, and I no longer hate going to work anymore (there's the positive caveat that I'm also making a lot more money than I was making before). Losing my tech job was a blessing is disguise.
    Chase your dreams, folks!
Thanks for sharing, Taylor! You've delivered a great message.

Hi there Taylor! I just found you through the video you did with Forrest. You are an incredible human. You're enthusiasm for life is infectious and I can feel your warm soul through the screen. This video is the second of yours I've seen and after just two, I'm subscribed! You're an inspiration and the advice given in this video really resonates with me. Thank you for coming to this world, and this life, with such open hearted authenticity. I'm hoping to get into van life soon. I'll see you out there! Until then, excuse me while I go binge watch your channel. 💜

Been there! Served in the Canadian Forces for years which I LOVED. Worked in the IT field for a few years after. Paid well but I wasn't happy in the end. No matter what I did in my free time, it didn't help too much. Glad to say I'm happier with what I'm doing now and the face I have the PROPER time to focus on growing my business. Way better to choose something you enjoy that makes you happy.

Rode the BC Ferry down from AK and then the Black Ball to P.A. Lots of enjoyment. Take care, hi to Rebecca.

Great advice Taylor. In the 9th inning of my career and while I have done well financially, it has not been meaningful and or enjoyable. Looking forward to full timing and doing some fun work camping. First stop...a ski resort! I tell my sons to find a career that they enjoy instead of just chasing the big bucks. Keep trucking (busing).

been working at the same job since i was 18. am 33 now i love it but also hate it at times, when its extremely cold out, but gives me a chance to winter camp all winter season and go see family for xmas which is a bonus :) the thing that got me my dream job was at my grandma's place in craigallache where cp rail put the last spike and got to drive a train from craigallache to Revelstoke, course not a train driver now. just working for crews in glacier is good enough

thanks for this video. I'm stuck and frustrated at my current situation. have been there 6 years now, the first 4.5-5 were fun and i enjoyed it but the vibe changed somehow and now i need to make a change. also want to relocate away from at least some of the bigger city noise and hustle. problem is having been an auto mechanic my whole life, i have no idea what job i want to do instead, i just know I'm burned out. the wife and i are just about to turn 37 and we want to go full-time for a bit and see where that takes us. just need to figure out the income source to do that.....

I agree with you 100%, if you find something you love to do you never work a day in your life. Although sometimes that doesn't make enough money to do all the things you want to do. So it's not easy sometimes. I've had to switch jobs from time to time to get it all. I am now retired and back playing and writing music, which is what I love to do. Now that I am retired with a pension its all good. Love your video!
I've thought about spending the winter in my 24ft C Class RV on Vancouver Island but because I live in Ottawa Ontario we decided to go to Key Largo Florida instead. Temps are much better there. We also want to check out Key West for a few days. So we are leaving January 17 and coming back home in April. This will be our first year as snow birds. Wish me luck! lol

    Hi Taylor,
Do you know where the double deckers came from and were they Go Buses? I only seen a brief glimpse of one of them and they look like the buses we build here in Vaughan, Ontario.
    Thanks

Something to remember that I didn’t think about until my mid-30’s. Retirement! Find a job/ career with a good retirement or start saving for your own! Nobody wants to work full-time when they’re in their 60’s,70’s and beyond!

So you got one gig to pick up buses from Vancouver. No idea of how you support yourself till I see other videos where you lived in a very small van for three years. A dream job is more than one gig, no matter how much fun driving a tour bus is. How does one support a family in this dream job of yours? Sounds like you had two good income days, and that's it.
