Hey y'all today is the day I show you my new build for the latest balance changes. The loadout feels really fun to use and I think I'm picking it up and improving pretty quickly. Fighting lion never dies!
This was painful to watch, not because of the content, but because bungie hates developing unique playstyles with niche weapons. I remember a guy with 20k kills on a Ex Diris, surely he got hit by this nerf too.
This right here. I don't understand why Bungie has a hard on for axing loadout diversity. The most frustrating part is that these players aren't in any kind of majority and with one pass Bungie just ruined the game for a handful of people.

I didn’t have a problem with this load out, even on xb. I usually almost always had my dodge ready to counter the spam. However, this gun was ridiculous on small maps and definitely needed a nerf. Just not that big a nerf

@@ryanrich7133 don’t worry, bungie is more focused on appeasing people who aren’t very good at strategy so anything that requires some thought to counter will be nerfed for you eventually 👍

Still a demon. Goes to show that you have mastered this. Really shines a light on how movement and intuition are as important with this playstyle as the oppressive nature of the double GLs were.
I’m still trying to figure out off meta strats, things like oem and hand cannons, but seeing this, I might put on a sidearm or get a good kinetic smg, prob rampage/kc

i opened this video ready to suggest immortal as your 2nd gun, but you already have it on! i did loads of cards on FL + Immortal + firebolts xD so fun
The ammo change makes the signature build non functional, but all the ppl coping that Lion was dead this patch were high, this thing still cooks. Lion smg has been a main go to for me for literal seasons now.

It even feels like the explosion area got reduced as well.
I hate that only 5 people use this gun yet it got hit by an awful nerf that literally nobody asked for.

I never played fighting lion pre nerf because I never really wanted to do the double GL, but honestly this playstyle with a primary (I assume Handcannon would be pretty good too) looks like something I might have to check out

I'm bummed because my favorite special weapon isn't even given enough ammo for a kill so I've had to alter my play style totally. I'm getting "why are you throwing" pms almost every match. I'm doing better than yesterday though so one day at a time in pvp.
Games are about having fun man don't worry about those comments. Focus on small improvements each day

Nice to see that Fighting Lion is viable in this new sandbox, but I still think the 20% damage reduction was too harsh. Maybe 5 or 10 % considering the reason given by Mercules in the recent DCP Live interview, but not 20.

that’s a bigger nerf than I expected, honestly bows still hurt, I played against someone using LeMon and it would still take over half of all my health. Also sniper aim assist wasn’t drastic enough, they’re still sticky

Epic i know you love your immortal roll but the nerf to target lock puts other smgs in a better place. I emplore you to test the crafted rapacious appetite with either smallbore or full bore ,richochet, range mw, perpetual motion enhanced and your choice of harmony or cascade point and icarus grip mod. Im confident youll love this smg in look and feel and would love to see you use it
I also have demo as the 2nd perk so I can always use that if I dont like target lock. I tried out rapacious and I just didn't like the feel of it but that was only for one game so maybe I'll give it another try down the line
I'd love to see it the thing has won my heart over and I have multiple god rolls of immortal and nothing feels as good to me it's quite a difference in how the gun feels I guess and I've heard a lot of immortal enjoyers say that it's hard to like rapacious at first
youre the reason i have 150 kills on fighting lion(my most kill weapon in pvp is 300)
edit: just checked charlemagne and i actually have 459 kills on fighting lion, it is my weapon with the most kills and the next is mida multi tool with 369, nice

My opinion keeps on changing but it's not terrible right now. Maybe needs slight buff

Years ago i would've been poging the whole way through now it just makes me upset, i used to use nade launchers in pvp cause i love the way they feel plus trick shots are awsome but i got sick of the constant hate message on xbox that i just started using shotguns
On a side note if they stick with the special meter thing, they need to up how fast u get ammo. U practically never have it, it feels like. Makes the games kinda boring tbh
In all fairness bro i do see the enemy has much more time to fight baxmck instead of just instant death by grenade launcher lmao now you can see the enemy fight back and it provides more danger for you aka more skill included congrats for succededing man this gameplay is more engaging bc of the changes

I say this, as someone who is not being a hater, and I acknowledge how skilled this man is at using GL’s. But let’s all be real Bungie should have never introduced grenade launcher as a normal weapon. Even requiring high skill, nobody should be able to use Grenades as a Primary! 😅

i thing problem is warlock exotic ,able dodge reload every 4 second is bit too much
Idk I think it's fun tbh, problem was them giving it endless ammo when primary became infinite. The 18 it had was too much imo but if it had like half and rewarded more on kills like before we'd never have had this goofy balancing act. Definitely needed a slight damage nerf with lower special though, but this is a bit much imo

It's sad to see how bad the gun is now. You made it work because of how good a player you are. But man, it's really not competitively viable anymore. Rest in peace one of the coolest unique weapons in the game
