I first heard this song on Alt Nation while driving my own Toyota 4Runner. I was on a road trip cruising along the beach and nearly did a double take on the song title. Whenever this song comes up in my playlist, I'm reminded of how much I love my Toyota 4Runner, my first car, and all the adventures that thing has taken me on. 200k miles and still strong! I will never not own a 4Runner. The absolute best car in the world. Thank you Rostam

Also I like to imagine this song is like an evolution of the relationship between the two lovers in "In A River". But this time it's "on a road". There are also these delicate and intimate details of a seemingly normal relationship, but the way Rostam writes always draws me right in like a lens. For example: 4Runner: "you're underneath a blanket/you used to drive when I got tired/you wear a baseball cap" River- Swimming with no clothes on/laughing on the warm sand/we got dreams we keep together ///// I notice a lot of musical parallels too: ("In a River"- "slide into the cool mud"/ 4Runner "I feel a part of me slide.") Also "I think I'm pretty much your boy now" /vs/ "I am holdin' onto you boy". And it's a nice flip from In a River's "in the faint light of the headlights of passing cars", the two lovers are IN the car now. Love that. Im from Arkansas and so in the beginning, that tunnel reminds me so much of the tunnel up in fayetteville, bobby hopper tunnel it's called? I think. But the city looks like L.A ,which I've been ttoo also , so I know it's a mix of places but I wonder if that's the tunnel in Arkansas, I realize there are a million of tunnels like that tho.
