- In this video, I show you how to create amazing fluid art using the Drop Pour method. In this video we use multiple layered cups poured from up high to create a bright and beautiful abstract painting. I am also trying out a secret mixture that I add into the pillow base. This is a fun and easy acrylic pouring technique that anyone can try. Fluid art is a great way to express your creativity and make stunning abstract paintings. Watch the video and follow along with me as I demonstrate this fun technique.
This is my version of this style of painting, using dioxazine purple, medium magenta, light blue violet, light blue, cadmium red hue, neon pink deep magenta, quinacridone magenta, neon orange, neon yellow cadmium yellow hue, and titanium white as my paint colors. I love how these colors create a striking yet elegant effect on the canvas. You can use any colors you like, but I recommend using some pearlized or metallic paints to add some shine and contrast to your fluid art.
Materials used:
Acrylic Paints
Pouring medium
Plastic cups
Stir sticks
canvas
Hair Dryer

Bright sparkly and happy. It’s gorgeous Michael. Those colors and you’ve got some nice clouds
That’s cool about the mixture and the cloud effect. This technique looks like fun and it got nice results!
Thank you August, figured I’d test that out. We know what the cloud ingredients did in the paints but I was curious to see how we could use it in the base/ pillow. Definitely will try some more.
Very nice so beautiful amazing art 😻

Wow Michael! What a cool fin painting! You did a great cloud pour! I loved the yellow and felt it made the colours pop! There was a little too much towards the end though but I think you knew that. Fun painting sweetie ❤
Thank you Marie, I have very strong feelings towards that yellow🤣🤣🤣
@@michaelyacovelli1763 😂🤣😂💖
You definitely got some interesting effects Michael! I would love to see if you tilted off more of that yellow! 😮 but then again who am I to tell you that 🤣 great job! 👏🏻
Thank you Donna, I have a crazy love hate relationship with that yellow.
That was a lot of fun to watch. Being a purple girl I was sad it got lost but I love the composition in this one. Awesome job Michael.🎉🎉❤
Thank you Michelle, I was sad to loose the purple as well….. I way overloaded the paint on this one.
I love it ❣️ it's colorful and vibrant. 😊

Thank you
LOVE IT
Thank you❤️
I love this Michael. I have been working on doing cloud pours all weekend. My first ones i have ever done. The only thing i wish is that you could have kept more of the blues and purples. You know how i am. The purples rock my world. Lol. I do love how it came out though. Never done a drop pour. Gonna have to add it to my list of things to try. Nice and messy. Just how i roll. 😂 beautiful job my friend. Love it. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Kristey, I over did it with the paint and had to lose the sweet colors but I do make up for it in the next one.
@michaelyacovelli1763 💜💜💜it happens. To me all the time. 😁🤣💜💜
,, Michael I love the drop pour it came out beautiful but you could have gone a little bit less on the yellow just too much yellow for me otherwise I really do like it
Thank you Mom❤️
What a mess that makes. Looks like a lot of fun. Nice result but a bit of a shame that the yellow took over so much. Still a nice painting though.
Thank you Paul, that is a messy style and that yellow. I have been starting at it all week and I have grown a love hate relationship to this piece. I want to hate the yellow but what it does so well is draw you in from across the room so you can then discover all of the hidden beauty in the other parts.
